The friction between Al Iaquinta and Mike Perry continues to build up.

It all started at UFC Nashville last week when ‘Platinum’ took home a post-fight bonus award for his vicious finish over Jake Ellenberger, as opposed to Iaquinta who made quick work of Diego Sanchez after a two-year layoff. Following the event Iaquinta expressed a great deal of displeasure with the UFC’s bonus criteria, expletively calling out the promotion itself, UFC President Dana White, and innocent bystander Sage Northcutt.

Enter Mike Perry, who felt as though it was his obligation to stand up for the promotion that has treated him so fell lately. Perry called out Iaquinta for his complaints on Twitter and continued to his rant against ‘Raging’ on an episode of The MMA Hour.

Yesterday (Sat. April 29, 2017) the pair continued to go at one another’s throats, which ended with Iaquinta telling Perry to tell his ‘girlfriend’ Dana White to book a bout between them:

As previously mentioned, both men come off of great knockout wins. Iaquinta is currently on a five-fight win streak following his win over Sanchez, which include wins over Jorge Masvidal, Joe Lauzon, and Ross Pearson.

Prior to his win over Ellenberger, Perry came off of his first career mixed martial arts (MMA) defeat to Alan Jouban via unanimous decision. ‘Platinum’ has finished all of his wins in MMA competition via knockout.

Would you like to see a bout between Iaquinta and Perry? Who do you think would walk away victorious in the potential bout?

Mike Perry Thinks Al Iaquinta Needs To ‘Fix His Priorities’

Mike Perry may just have some beef to settle with Al Iaquinta.

After not having received a bonus for his knockout of Diego Sanchez at UFC Nashville last weekend, while Perry did for his nasty finish of Jake Ellenberger, Iaquinta went off on the UFC’s bonus structure on both social media and an appearance on The MMA Hour earlier this week. That didn’t sit too well with ‘Platinum’, who decided to stick up for the promotion that’s been so well to him lately.

After responding directly to Iaquinta’s ‘f*ck you’ comments towards the UFC on Twitter, Perry took to The MMA Hour to explain his actions (quotes via MMA Fighting):

“I was trying to offer this man some advice,” Perry said. “The way I put it may have seemed disrespectful, but … you think you’re going to get a bonus when you just run around disrespecting somebody who’s paying your bills, things like that?

“You work hard for this, then conduct yourself properly. He said ‘f*ck you’ to the people who are setting this up for you. If you have a sour attitude towards these people who are giving you the opportunity people dream of, you need to fix your priorities.”

Being no stranger to post-fight bonuses during his brief run with the promotion, Perry is extremely thankful towards the UFC for putting the extra cash in his bank account. For this reason, Perry felt obligated to stand up for the UFC:

“I’m watching out for the UFC,” Perry said. “He can’t just be bad-mouthing people who are doing the same thing for me. I got their back too because they got mine.”

Mike Perry Isn’t Fond of Al Iaquinta’s ‘Sour Attitude’ Toward The UFC

Mike Perry believes in the saying, “don’t bite the hand that feeds you.” Al Iaquinta has been less than thrilled with his Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) contract.
