Jake Paul recently issued an audacious $5 million challenge to Mike Tyson ahead of their highly anticipated boxing clash.

“The Problem Child” is preparing to face off against Tyson in an eight-round heavyweight contest set for November 15 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Originally scheduled for July 20, the fight was postponed after “Iron Mike” experienced an ulcer flare-up in May.

Ever since the fight was announced earlier this year, the matchup has been met with widespread skepticism, largely due to the substantial 31-year age gap between Paul and Tyson. Despite the doubts, the boxing icon has repeatedly assured fans that he’s in top form and more than ready to step back into the ring.

The former undisputed heavyweight champion hung up his gloves after facing Kevin McBride in June 2005. However, Tyson returned to the squared circle in November 2022 for an exhibition match against Roy Jones Jr., which concluded in a draw.

Meanwhile, Paul is riding high on the momentum of a sixth-round knockout victory over Mike Perry in July. Currently on a four-fight winning streak, he has only tasted defeat once, falling to Tommy Fury via split decision in February 2023. “The Problem Child” has made a name for himself by toppling former MMA stars, including Nate Diaz, Anderson Silva, and Tyron Woodley.

With just a month remaining until their matchup, Paul has thrown out an intriguing proposition for “Iron Mike” that could earn him an extra hefty payday.

Paul Offers $5M If Tyson Lasts Beyond Round 4

In a TikTok video earlier this week, Paul raised the stakes for his upcoming bout with Tyson, offering a lucrative $5 million bonus if the boxing legend can withstand his barrage past the fourth round. However, the YouTuber-turned-boxer added a playful twist—should ‘Iron Mike’ fail, he’ll have to get a tattoo that reads, “I Love Jake Paul.”

“Mikey Mikey, if you can last more than four rounds with me, I’ll give you an extra $5 million,” Paul said in the video. “But if you don’t, then you have to get a tattoo that says, ‘I Love Jake Paul.’”

Paul’s tattoo challenge isn’t exactly a new tactic. After his victory over Woodley in August 2021, the former UFC welterweight champion demanded an immediate rematch. “The Problem Child” agreed, but only on one condition: if he triumphed again, Woodley would have to get an “I Love Jake Paul” tattoo.

True to his word, after Paul knocked him out, “The Chosen One” followed through and inked the tattoo on the inside of his middle finger.

Mike Tyson is not concerned with Jake Paul’s recent online antics.

On November 15, the ‘Baddest Man on the Planet’ will return to the squared circle for his first professional boxing bout in nearly two decades when he meets ‘The Problem Child’ inside the 80,000-seat AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Mike Tyson

Over the last few weeks, Paul has posted multiple videos on social media of him in a fat suit eating fried chicken and making a mockery of his training for the highly anticipated clash. To some, it’s clear that ‘El Gallo’ simply isn’t taking his fight with the former unified heavyweight world champion seriously. However, Tyson doesn’t necessarily see it that way.

“Listen, I think he’s taking it very, very seriously because his health depends on it,” Tyson said during a press conference to promote his new energy pouch supplement LF* Go! “And yeah, I’m not looking past him, and I’m not taking him lightly at all.”

mike Tyson looks to hand paul his second career loss

This will be Tyson’s first professional bout since a sixth-round TKO loss against Kevin McBride in 2005. Four years ago, ‘Iron’ did return to the ring for an eight-round charity exhibition fight with legendary pugilist Roy Jones Jr.

Meanwhile, Jake Paul has amassed a solid 10-1 record in his career thus far. Of course, a majority of those wins have come against non-boxers and past their prime MMA stars like Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley, Anderson Silva, and Nate Diaz. His most recent win came in July via a sixth-round TKO against the BKFC’s ‘King of Violence’ Mike Perry.

Paul’s lone loss came via a split decision defeat at the hands of Tommy Fury following a February 2023 clash in Saudi Arabia.

Jake Paul wants to up the ante in his anticipated clash with ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson.

Originally, Paul vs. Tyson was scheduled to go down on July 20, but after the ‘Baddest Man on the Planet’ suffered a medical emergency during a cross-country flight, the contest was moved to Friday, November 15.

Jake Paul and Mike Tyson

Now a month away from fight night, ‘The Problem Child’ is looking to add a fun little stipulation that could bank Tyson an extra $5 million, so long as he can last four rounds with Paul at AT&T Stadium.

But if he can’t, Tyson will have to get the infamous ‘I Love Jake Paul’ tattoo.

“Mikey Mikey, if you can last more than four rounds with me, I’ll give you an extra $5 million,” Paul said. “But if you don’t, then you have to get a tattoo that says, ‘I Love Jake Paul.’”

Even if Tyson lost the best, it would still only be the second-worst tattoo on his body.

Mike Tyson wouldn’t be the first to get the ‘i love jake paul’ tat

Tyson could potentially be the second of Paul’s opponents to end up with the tattoo, the first being Tyron Woodley. Following their clash in August 2021, ‘The Chosen One’ angled for an immediate rematch with Paul. The YouTube star said he’d oblige, but only if Woodley got the tattoo somewhere on his body.

Two weeks later, Woodley got the tattoo on the inner part of his middle finger.

Woodley ended up getting KO’d in the sixth round of their December 2021 rematch, but the former UFC welterweight champion is said to have bagged at least $2 million for the fight.

Jake Paul’s recently released training footage has a lot of fight fans concerned.

On November 15, ‘The Problem Child’ will make his 12th walk to the squared circle inside the 80,000-seat AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Meeting him in the middle of the ring will be former unified heavyweight world champion ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson who competes for the first time as a pro in nearly two decades.

Jake Paul

In the weeks leading up to their highly anticipated scrap in The Lone Star State, Paul has stayed active on social media. On Instagram, the YouTuber revealed some recent training footage that left a lot to be desired, and fight fans made it pretty clear in the comments that they were unimpressed with what they were seeing.

“You might be fooling these young kids who didn’t grow up watching Tyson…. Mike is going to knock you all the way back to the Disney channel chump,” another added.

“Real talk! He doesn’t understand who he’s facing. Power doesn’t have an age limit. It stays with muscle memory.”

“Bros hella uncoordinated.”

“Dude has nothing to do with boxing, he moves like a starter at a street fight.”

“7 year olds box better than him.”

Even Mike Tyson had a few things to say about Paul’s training footage.

Jake Paul

As it stands, Jake Paul is a near 3-to-1 favorite with DraftKings sportsbook listing him as a -290 favorite. ‘The Problem Child’ goes into the bout having gone 10-1 in his professional boxing career, his lone loss coming against Tommy Fury in February 2023.

Since then, he has won four straight, including a unanimous decision win over Nate Diaz and a sixth-round TKO against the BKFC’s ‘King of Violence’ Mike Perry.

"Mike can really hurt Jake" Boxing Icon 'Sugar' Shane Mosley Predicts Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson

Boxing icon ‘Sugar’ Shane Mosley thinks Mike Tyson still has the power to do some serious damage to Jake Paul.

On Friday, November 15, the ‘Baddest Man on the Planet’ will return to the boxing ring for his first professional fight in nearly two decades. Emanating from the 80,000-seat AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, ‘Iron’ will scrap with ‘The Problem Child’ who goes into the bout 31 years younger than the former unified heavyweight world champion.

That factoid has frustrated a lot of pundits who believe Paul is just setting himself up for another easy win against a combat sports legend who’s past his prime.

But even at 58 years old, some believe that Mike Tyson still has his signature power and if he manages to land one good one, it could be lights out for Paul in The Lone Star State.

Shane Mosley thinks Tyson has the power to put Paul’s lights out

One of those believers is Mosley, who spent some time training ‘The Problem Child’ for his pro boxing debut in 2020 and his showdown with Nate Diaz last year.

“If Mike really hits Jake, Mike can really hurt Jake, and I know what Mike can do and what Jake can do,” Mosley told the Philadelphia Inquirer. “I don’t think Jake really understands how hard Mike can hit. Mike is 58, but these are two-minute rounds and all fighters have pride. I don’t think Mike will be going in there to lose to Jake Paul. Jake thinks he can take a shot.

“In the first five or six rounds, and what makes this so fun, is that getting hit by Mike Tyson is dangerous, very dangerous. Jake will have to tire Mike out. Jake will need to understand how these punches will come at him. People need to understand that a bar fight between two guys is one thing, a professional fighter, especially a former world champion, regardless of age, is still a very dangerous man who can seriously hurt you. I don’t know how long they would be able to hurt you [laughs], but these are punches from people who have been throwing punches all their lives” (h/t talkSPORT).

Jake Paul goes into his 12th career boxing match with a 10-1 record, his lone loss coming against Tommy Fury via split decision in February 2023. Since then, Paul has earned a unanimous decision win over Nate Diaz, a couple of first-round KOs against Andre August and Ryan Bourland, and a sixth-round finish over the BKFC’s ‘King of Violence’ Mike Perry.

Meanwhile, Tyson has been largely absent from the world of boxing since a June 2005 loss against Kevin McBride. Iron’ did return to the ring in 2020 for a charity boxing bout with fellow legend Roy Jones Jr. that went a full eight rounds before being declared a draw.

In the interim, Tyson has been cashing checks via his Tyson 2.0 line of premium hemp products.

November 15 sees Mike Tyson return to the ring to face Jake Paul in what will undoubtedly be one of the most talked about fights of the year.

Given the stature that both men bring to the table, getting the opportunity to share the ring with either of them is a huge opportunity for other fighters.

One man that wants a piece of that action is MMA legend Vitor Belfort.

After retiring from competing in the UFC back in 2018, Belfort has made the move over to boxing where he has had several bouts since. But despite being 47 years old, he believes that big name opponents still aren’t willing to fight him.

Vitor Belfort Says That He Wants Either Paul Or Tyson But It Probably Won’t Happen

The Brazilian legend has won both of his boxing contests since hanging up the MMA gloves, beating Evander Holyfield in an exhibition and fellow former UFC fighter Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza.

In a recent interview with Inside Fighting, he claimed that though he would be open to the idea of stepping in against Paul or Tyson, it’s not likely to happen.

It makes sense on his end but Belfort doesn’t believe that either man is willing to risk fighting him because of their own legacies.

“I would love to do it but both guys didn’t want to fight me for sure but I would love to fight the winner. I just wish they can have a great fight but they don’t have the courage to bring that fight [to me]. I think that would be a great fight to put together but I think none of them wanted to risk their – how they can call – career or their legacy.

“I’m in a stage of my life where for me to step up and fight someone, has to make sense for me, for the fans. I think the fans would love to see that but at the end of the day, Jake Paul fights who he wants to fight. He’s making the decision and I mean we’ll see what will be but I mean I can promise you, I think that fight is not going to happen.”
