UFC 160 Fighter Salaries – Velasquez & JDS Top All Earners

UFC 160 posterOn Tuesday, the Nevada State Athletic Commission released the fighter salaries for this past weekends UFC 160: Velasquez vs. Bigfoot II event.

The top earner for the event was defending UFC heavyweight champ Cain Velasquez who made $400,000 for his first round TKO finish of opponent Antonio ‘Bigfoot’ Silva ($75,000).

The second top earner on the Las Vegas card was former heavyweight champ Junior dos Santos who made $240,000 ($120,000 to show and $120,000 to win) for his third round knockout victory of Mark Hunt ($160,000).

UFC 160: Velasquez vs. Bigfoot II took place on May 25, 2013 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Of note, prelim fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov was forced to forfeit 20% of his purse for missing weight in his lightweight bout with Abel Trujillo. Nurmagomedov weighed in at 158.5-lbs for the bout and went on to defeat Trujillo by unanimous decision.

The disclosed fighter salaries do not include behind the scenes or undisclosed bonuses from the UFC, nor does it include money earned via sponsors or “Fight Night” bonuses.
