Karlos VemolaAnother bout appears to be on tap for this June’s upcoming UFC event in Brazil as middleweights Karlos ‘The Terminator’ Vemola (9-3) and Caio Magalhaes (5-1) were named as opponents by Brazil news agency Tatame.com recently.

The two will meet on the UFC on FUEL TV 10 card which has also been labelled as TUF Brazil 2 by Brazilian media.

The event will feature the welterweight finals of Season Two of The Ultimate Fighter Brazil and will see opposing coaches, heavyweights Antônio Rodrigo Nogueira and Fabricio Werdum square off in the main event.

UFC on FUEL TV 10 is expected to take place on June 8, 2013 at the Ginásio Paulo Sarasate (arena) in Fortaleza, Brazil. The Vemola vs. Magalhaes bout is the fifth matchup identified for the event and should ppear on the prelim card.

Vemola holds a 2-3 record after five appearances in the Octagon and enters this match on a loss after a second round submission to Francis Carmont at UFC on FUEL TV 4 last summer. He was linked to a UFC 155 bout versus Chris Leben in December bout was forced off the card and replaced by Derek Brunson. ‘The Terminator’ earned his last win in his middleweight debut back in May 2012, forcing Mike Massenzio to tap out in the second round at the UFC on FOX 3 event due to a rear-naked choke.

Magalhaes debuted with the UFC last June as part of the UFC on FX 3 show versus fellow newcomer Buddy Robberts. It wasn’t the debut the Brazilian wanted following a decision loss ending Magalhaes’ undefeated streak at five bouts. He was to have fought this past January at UFC on FX 7 but an injury forced Magalhaes off the card with a groin injury.

GSP is Going to Destroy Diaz

George “Rush” St. Pierre has given Nick Diaz the greatest and the worst Christmas present ever. On one hand he gave him the biggest pay day of his life, and on the other he will.

GSPDiaz-300x199

George “Rush” St. Pierre has given Nick Diaz the greatest and the worst Christmas present ever. On one hand he gave him the biggest pay day of his life, and on the other he will give him the worst ass kicking of his life. I’m going to make a bold prediction here; GSP is going to retire Nick Diaz. I may end up eating my words, but after being dominated for five rounds I believe Nick Diaz will call it quits. GSP has the edge in all of the areas; here are a few where I believe he will really show his dominance.

Wrestling

This is quite obvious, St. Pierre is one of the best wrestlers in the UFC; and he had no prior wrestling experience when he began his career. When GSP met Koscheck for the first time he showed the world how dominant of a wrestler he really was, out wrestling the All American for all three rounds. Some people say that when the fight hits the mat Diaz will have the advantage because of his BJJ; those people forget that GSP has a black belt in the “gentle art” as well. GSP has crushing top control and Diaz will be no match for his strength and skill.

Athleticism

GSP is by far the most athletic fighter to grace the Octagon, yet this is only due to his hard work and dedication. Whereas in my opinion Diaz is one of the least athletic, sure he trains for triathlons, but he doesn’t measure up against GSP. The Champ is stronger, faster, and can go hard for five full rounds, something he has been doing for eleven out of his past twelve fights.

X-Factor

I’m not talking about the TV show here, I’m talking about intangibles. The fight is taking place in GSP’s home town of Montreal at the Bell Centre. Diaz is known for hating press conferences and the likes; it will be interesting to see how he fairs in another country while doing these activities.

GSP is also one of the most composed fighters ever, he is strictly business when he steps in the Octagon. Diaz on the other hand is not, he is known for his trash talking and antics while fighting and leading up to fights. This I believe will play into the hands of the Champion. GSP has dealt with trash talkers from Koscheck to Hardy, and I don’t believe Diaz has what it takes to get into his head.

Summary

In the end Diaz will be no match for GSP, much like all of the previous challengers to his belt. GSP will beat Diaz to the punch, kick, and takedown; and he will do so for five rounds. As we saw in the Condit fight, Diaz will lose his cool and begin to talk trash and try to anger King George. In the end the judges will be called to make a decision and Bruce Buffer will announce “And still the UFC Welterweight Champion of the World! George “Rush” St. Pierre”. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a brawl ensue, but in the coming days Diaz will retire; who knows maybe he will become a professional triathlete.

Where you at Nick? No not Nick The Bitch Diaz, I’m talking the Stockton Bad Boy that I hate. What is this shit? I like this new Nick Diaz! Dana White said that the old Nick Diaz is supposed to be coming back, apparently he was on his best behavior recently.

We’re a week away from UFC 158, and we have yet to hear Nick curse out GSP. This is making me think that GSP might be in Nick’s head. Is Diaz already defeated? Here’s another theory, maybe Diaz has just been stoned out of his mind through this entire process. I guess we’ll find out after this fight. Regardless, we all know the outcome of this fight, GSP is going to win; most likely by decision.

I was just hoping that this fight would get hyped a little bit more. It’s kind of sad when Johnny Hendricks, who isn’t even fighting GSP, is taking more shots at the champ than his opponent. Regardless, this is going to be a stacked card and the UFC is going to make bank on it. GSP is the UFC’s biggest pay-per-view draw, and regardless of whether Diaz sells this fight or not the Bell Centre will be sold out and the card will pull huge numbers.

Anderson Silva is a Priss

So if you guys watch the mmafix.com podcasts, you guys know that I like to rant. I’m not going to toot my own horn; some of my rants are fucking awesome. This is going to.

Anderson-Silva-ii

So if you guys watch the mmafix.com podcasts, you guys know that I like to rant. I’m not going to toot my own horn; some of my rants are fucking awesome. This is going to be another one.

Anderson Mother Fucking Silva. You don’t get to pick the fights, Joe Silva does! Dana White has been telling us for weeks now that it’s a process to get Anderson interested in a fight. Finally, that process is done. Chris Weidman is finally scheduled to face Anderson Silva on July 6th. I get that Anderson is 38, and he’s probably on the tail end of his career; but when you’re the champion you fight all comers.

Weidman is fucking 9-0 and 5-0 in the UFC; he’s coming off a vicious knock out of Mark Munoz. In a division like the Middleweights I think that is more than justifying for a title shot. Apparently Anderson Silva doesn’t think so. The UFC has been throwing, and I mean throwing handfuls of money at Silva just to get him to take this fight. I’m not saying Silva is scared, he’s probably going to win this fight; but you can’t hold up the entire division because you don’t like the fight they offered.

I hope Chris Weidman beats Silva, I really do. That would mean he can either go up to 205 and fight Jones, or retire. Weidman has the skills, he’s stronger than Sonnen, his boxing probably isn’t as good, and his BJJ is solid. Not to mention that Weidman is a fucking massive 185lber. I’m not saying Weidman can’t hold Anderson down for five rounds; he has the power to finish the champ. I just don’t think it will happen.

Let’s face it, Anderson is going to finish Weidman in spectacular fashion, I kind of think it’ll be a knee when Weidman takes a shot. Silva won’t learn his lesson, he’s going to continue to fight once a year, and he’s going to continue to be a priss. Anderson Silva, you are a fantastic fighter, but I hate your attitude, and I fucking hate Ed Soares.

That is all, class dismissed.
