In an embarrassing turn of events due to a booking mix-up at the airport, ex-UFC star Paige VanZant accidentally shared the existence of a sex tape she and her husband had made with the airline staff.

Taking to Twitter, ’12 Gauge’ shared that she was flying to Texas when she was asked to prove her identity before boarding. A booking had been made under her professional name VanZant and not her legal name after marriage, Paige Vanderford.

The bare-knuckle boxer had married Bellator star Austin Vanderford in September 2018 and chose to keep her maiden name based on her brand’s popularity with it.

Airport staff asked her to prove her identity in a bid to clear out the confusion of having booked under one name and carrying a passport reflecting another. VanZant’s plan to google her own name in front of the staff backfired when the first search result was an article reporting that she and her husband had made a sex tape.

During a Q&A session on social media earlier this year, VanZant was asked by fans if she and Vanderford would ever make a tape. She revealed that they had already made one before suggesting that she doesn’t intend to sell or share it with her fans.

VanZant also joked that her followers likely started looking for more information on the unreleased tape after reading her initial story. While she hasn’t outright dismissed the possibility of ever making the tape available, she seems content with sharing risqué photos on her members-only subscription site for now.

Do you miss Paige VanZant in the UFC?

Paige VanZant signed with professional wrestling company, AEW (All Elite Wrestling) after losing her first two fights in bare-knuckle boxing. Although she’s just 27 years old and may still have a future in MMA and boxing, she looks set to continue competing in the sports entertainment league rather than combat sports.

After her time in the UFC, she explored different avenues including cornering and broadcasting in the sports world. She also reportedly makes a fortune on her subscription site.

In an interview with ESPN, she shared her ambitions of returning to the cage and competing in BKFC as she praised them for their support during the transition after signing with AEW.

Will we see Paige VanZant return to the cage?

Dana White

Dana White has revealed a Memphis by a bar owner who had been illegally pirating the UFC threatened to shoot him.

The UFC has been targeting illegal streamers of its event since the early 2010s, in 2014 the promotion was able to track down a supposed pirate and sue him for $12,000. Fast forward to 2022 and the UFC continues to be hunting down streamers.

After a recent appearance of Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast, White relived one of the worst experiences he has had dealing with these streamers.

“We caught a lot of people and prosecuted people for it. It’s a whole ‘nother f—ng ballgame. (One) guy’s calling me up, crying, begging me not to do it. And these were guys that were doing it in bars. Their bars were stealing,” he said.

Dana White Reveals Near Fatal Memphis Trip

Dana White revealed on one occasion in Memphis things nearly took a serious turn for the worst.

“This is a true story. (We were in) Memphis, Tennessee, and we were doing Lookin’ For a Fight,” White recounted. “We were doing this wrestling thing and apparently, a guy on that street, I put his bar out of business. And they were threatening that if I walked out, they were gonna shoot me.

“If I walked out and did this f—ng skit we’re gonna do for Lookin’ For a Fight, they were gonna shoot me.”

The UFC are still searching for those illegally broadcasting their events, but White realises how difficult this has become due to how knowledgeable these streamers are.

“The kids are way ahead of it. You have to be persistent, and you really have to go after people. You can put that thing on the f—ng TV that says ‘If you get caught pirating this event…’ it’s a different story when you f—ng get caught.”

You can expect these streamers to continue to show themselves given the announcement to increase PPV prices at the beginning of the year.

Demetrious Johnson believes that Israel Adesanya, Kamaru Usman, and Valentina Shevchenko could possibly break his record for most title defenses in UFC history.

Johnson defended his flyweight championship 11 times in a row. He eventually lost to Henry Cejudo in a very close and questionable split decision. Johnson had beat Cejudo in their first matchup via TKO.

Since being traded to ONE for Ben Askren, Johnson has gone 3-1 with the organization. He lost his last fight by TKO to Adriano Moraes. That was Johnson’s first TKO loss of his professional career. Johnson is one of the greatest fighters to ever grace the octagon and was the pound for pound best the UFC for a long time.

Demtrious Johnson had high praise for the three fighters that he believes could break his record for defenses

Johnson was on the MMA Hour when he claimed they had a chance of breaking his record.

“I think the only people who are close to being that are: Valentina Shevchenko, she impresses me every time she steps in the octagon. Kamaru Usman, Israel Adesanya. I think Kamaru Usman is at four title defenses. Izzy is at 3 or 4 if I remember… I think those three will be the closest ones to set a new record.” (H/T BJPenn)

Usman has been talking about possibly darling in the boxing world and taking on Canelo Álvarez. He has also been talking about possible retirement in the near future. Adesanya on the other hand, could possibly have a legitimate chance of breaking that record, due to his age and love for the fight game.

“I think those three athletes can do it, but it takes a long time. Especially with injuries and finding the right opponent. Also, nowadays it’s about what fight will make me the most opponent. It’s not about who’s next in line, it’s like we need to pull this fighter up so we can sell it and make as much money as possible. Obviously, Shevchenko, I don’t know if she wants to have children so that’s another factor as well.”

Aljamain Sterling Plans To ‘Body Bag’ Petr Yan Ahead Of UFC 273 Title Rematch

Aljamain Sterling

UFC bantamweight champion, Aljamain Sterling has claimed that the only tears he will shed against arch-enemy and interim champion, Petr Yan at UFC 273 next month – will be when he “body bags” the Dudinka native in their title unification re-run.

Sterling, who attempts to successfully unify the bantamweight titles on April 9. in the co-main event of UFC 273, also attempts to shut the proverbial door on a longstanding rivalry with the Russian technician.

Becoming the first champion in promotional history to lift an Octagon title via disqualification, Sterling was met with a fourth round illegal knee by Yan whilst he was deemed to b a grounded opponent during their initial matchup at UFC 259 last March.

The disqualification defeat to Aljamain Sterling came as Petr Yan’s first UFC loss since his transition to the Octagon

In the time since, Sterling has undergone invasive surgery to address a neck injury stemming from his amateur wrestling days – failing to obtain medical clearance to compete at UFC 267 in October as a result of a surgical procedure.

As a result, a ‘Fight Island’ title rematch with Yan was shelved, with the Dudinka native instead tackling and overcoming common-foe, Cory Sandhagen on short notice at the event to mint himself as the interim division champion in Sterling’s absence.

In the run-up to the pair’s title merger on April 9. – Sterling and Yan had traded multiple barbs on social media, only fueled by the former this evening, resulting in another back-and-forth between the rivals.

“In order to grow you need to accept your losses oike a man,” Aljamain Sterling tweeted, accompanied by a gif of Petr Yan. “The first step of the process of healing is accepting your short-comings. In other words, bro, you lost.”

Garnering a response from Yan, the Russian striking ace claimed that he would “beat the living sh*t” out of Sterling at UFC 273.

“At least I didn’t lose my dignity like you,” Petr Yan tweeted. “I can envision yourself crying after our next fight again. I will beat the living sh*t out of you dog. Looking forward to your healing process.”

Sterling then replied to Yan’s own response, claiming that he would only be shedding tears at Yan’s “funeral” at UFC 273, claiming he would leave the interim titleholder in a “body bag”.

“The only years I’ll be shedding are for your funeral, after I body bag you April 9th for the world to see,” Aljamain Sterling tweeted. “You ‘Betr’ show up!”

Ilia Topuria

Following their infamous physical altercation ahead of UFC London this weekend, Ilia Topuria has claimed should he find himself alone in a room with fellow lightweight, Paddy Pimblett – he would “kill” the Liverpool native.

Last night, footage emerged detailing a physical scuffle between Topuria and Pimblett at the official fighter hotel ahead of UFC London on Saturday – with the two exchanging multiple expletives and insults after Pimblett threw a bottle of hand sanitiser in Topuria’s direction, who threw at least punches at Pimblett.

The German-born contender was corralled by members of his own team soon thereafter as the pair continued to trade insults – with their scuffle the subject of their respective media day appearance today ahead of UFC London.

Ilia Topuria and Paddy Pimblett’s rivalry stems from flagrant comments made about Georgia from the latter

Making his homecoming for the first time since his UFC debut last September, Pimblett, a former Cage Warriors featherweight champion, draws Rodrigo Vargas after landing a rallying knockout win over Luigi Vendramini at UFC Vegas 36.

For Topuria, the featherweight makes his lightweight divisional bow ahead of a planned stay at the weight class, most recently stopping tricky grappler, Ryan Hall with strikes at UFC 264 in July of last year.

Appearing on The MMA Hour this Wednesday evening, Topuria, who meets former Cage Warriors lightweight champion, Jai Herbert on Saturday – reflected on his altercation with Pimblett, claiming he would “kill” the Huyton native if they met alone in a room again.

“He (Paddy Pimblett) saw me, and he was like, smiling to me and wanted me to shake his hand,” Ilia Topuria said. “I don’t know what he wanted from my part. So I threw two (inaudible) to his face, and then everything started, you know. But he was quiet, like a b*tch. He didn’t say anything. So yeah, f*ck him. F*ck him. He’s just a man on Twitter. This is not Twitter, this is real life. If you wanna play a gangster, be gangster by the end. If not just quiet, kid.”

“The same thing (will happen) that you saw on the video,” Ilia Topuria replied when asked what would happen if he ran into Pimblett again. “Maybe – if I have the chance – I don’t know. They (the UFC) give me the chance to be alone with him in a room, I’m gonna kill this motherf*cker.”

Topuria explained that regardless of the outcome in their respective next fights this weekend, he wants to land a fight against Pimblett next unquestionably.

“For me, it doesn’t matter – he lose or he wins, it doesn’t matter,” Ilia Topuria said. “I wanna fight him. ‘Cause I know that’s the only way to have him face-to-face, man-to-p*ssy. So, I wanna flight him.”
