A night out turned into a night of regret as one Thai man poured beer on the wrong woman; a Muay Thai fighter named Pareploy Saeaia.

According to Saeaia and eyewitnesses, Saeaia and her friends were enjoying a night out at dinner at a restaurant in the Huai Kwang district of Bangkok, TH. This was until a man walked up to her and offered to buy her a drink.

When Saeaia declined and shooed the man away, the man responded by pouring a beer over her head. As the man walked away, hostilities ensued between the man’s friends and Saeaia’s friends.

But unbeknownst to the unidentified man, Saeaia didn’t need any help. She then confronted the man and began throwing leg kicks and punches at him in the middle of a nearby street. The man didn’t apologize nor did he throw any strikes back at Saeaia as the chaos ensued.

Check out a video of the incident below.

Pareploy Saeaia Wasn’t A Woman To Be Messed With That Night

“If this happens to other women, they might choose not to respond. The guy’s choosing the wrong person because I’m a boxer,” Saeaia said in a social media post. (h/t Bangkok Post)

Following the incident, Saeaia filed a complaint against the man with the Huai Kwang police. There’s no word on any further legal action being taken, although the two of them paid a small fine at a local police station.

Pareploy Saeaia recently gave an interview to Thai PBS regarding the incident. During the conversation, she claimed to have won 40 out of her 50 matches during her time as a boxer. The 24-year-old began practicing Muay Thai at 13 but is now retired from fighting and instead spends her time training people who are interested in the Thai martial art.

What do you make of this clip? Did you enjoy seeing this female Muay Thai fighter teach a belligerent drunk a lesson?

Silachai started fighting in the early eighties and would fight for 30 years. In this time, he would beat the best in the world and win 6 Muay Thai world titles.

Everything he threw was thrown with bad intentions and he wasn’t afraid to take a shot to land one. Thongchai is also one on a very short list of fighters that has a KO win over the great Saenchai.

The ageless wonder Saenchai has been on top of the sport of Muay Thai for an unheard of 5 decades. What is crazy about Saenchai is that he has gotten even better with age.

Saenchai isn’t your run of the mill Muay Thai fighter as he has a style that is all his own. A style kinned to that of Floyd Mayweather in boxing favoring a precision game over a power game.

He is a master of range and precision, which leaves his opponents dumbfounded. At times, he looks more like a magician than a fighter as he takes his opponents where he wants.

Then when he is ready, Saenchai delivers a knockout blow. In his career, Saenchai has won 18 Muay Thai championships and looks to add more to his resume before he retires.

He had a devastating knee and clinch game that is considered one of the best ever. Thanasukarn’s knees seemed like they could hit his opponents from across the ring..

In 1981, Dieselnoi would win the Lumpinee Stadium Featherweight title and held it for 4 years before retiring. He was actually sort of forced into retirement after cleaning out the entire lightweight division and had no one to fight

The “computer knee striker” Chamuekpet Harpalang comes in at #5 on our best Muay Thai fighter list. Harpalang’s nickname was a perfect fit, because he was like a computer program with his knee strikes.

He had an all time great mid-range striking game along with great defense and footwork. Making his opponent’s chase him until they came into striking range for him to land vicious knees and elbows.

Chamuekpet would fight for twenty years and in over 6 different weight classes. Winning 9 Muay Thai titles and a featherweight title in pro boxing.

The third spot on our best Muay Thai fighter list is the late, great Apidej Sit-Hirun. Known as the “Kicker from Bang Nok Khwaek ” was an icon of his generation.

Sit-Hirun was active from 1958-1976 and was adored by many Thai boxing fans, which included the King of Thailand. Many consider Apidej to have had the best roundhouse kicks in all of Thai boxing with knockout power in both legs.

His kicking ability would lead him to dominate the welterweight division and earn 5 Muay Thai championships. He was also an accomplished boxer and was a 3x Thai boxing champion.

Sadly, Apidej Sit-Hirun passed away in 2013 from lung cancer, but he inspired many future legends to start training. He was a trailblazer and deserves more recognition.

Some may dispute having a fighter that never won any Thai boxing titles on a best Muay Thai fighter list. But if you know Somrak Kamsing and the legendary status he has in Thailand you won’t argue.

Somrak Kamsing is the first ever Thai boxing to win an Olympic gold medal in the ‘92 Olympic Games. He is highly revered in Thailand and was immediately a fan favorite when he began Thai boxing.

In Thai boxing, he was just as good as he was in amateur boxing and was known as “Mo Amata.”(Forever Boastful)

Unfortunately Kamsing was never given a title fight in Muay Thai and there are a couple possible reasons. Either because of politics or possibly that Kamsing was a huge betting favorite and made it impossible to make a fight.(Betting is a large part of Thai boxing matches in Thailand.)

Even without a title, Kamsing is still revered in Thailand and considered one of the best Muay Thai fighters ever.

#1 Samart Payakaroon

Even if his opponent’s got past his teeps, Samart would use his world class boxing ability to stop them.

Best Muay Thai Gloves

LowkickMMA is here to keep you up to date on everything going on in the MMA and combat sports world. But we also want to give some product recommendations for our readers that train.

That is why we have made this list of the best Muay Thai gloves available for purchase today. Below are our short reviews of some of the best Muay Thai gloves available.

We also added a short section on what the difference is between Muay Thai gloves and normal boxing gloves.

What’s the difference between Muay Thai gloves and boxing gloves?

It may not look like it, but there are subtle differences between normal boxing gloves and Muay Thai gloves. Here are some of the differences.

The cuff/strap

Muay Thai gloves tend to have a shorter and more thick cuff/strap than boxing gloves. This design was added for two reasons.

  1. Protection: Kicks hitting the wrist are common, so a thicker short strap is more practical.
  2. Clinch Support: A shorter strap also allows for better wrist bendability for clinching.

The thumbs

Thumbs in boxing gloves tend to be more closed, so you don’t break it punching. Muay Thai gloves have a more open thumb for blocking kicks and clinching.

The palms

Boxing glove palms tend to either be more rounded or have a bar built in for punching. Muay Thai glove palms are more open for clinching to hold onto the opponent.

Side padding

Boxing gloves have next to no side padding built into the gloves. Muay Thai gloves have side padding added in specifically for blocking kicks.

Rogan who is a former taekwondo competitor himself shared the video of him throwing powerful spinning back kicks onto a Muay Thai heavy bag. The UFC broadcaster was unleashing some hard-hitting strikes despite still recovering from a knee injury.

Rogan’s impressive technique was on full display and his intensity was without a doubt high. He shared a message alongside his post providing brief updates on how he’s recovering and a special mention to former UFC Champion George St-Pierre.

“Working on perishable skills. 10 rounds on the bag followed by technique work. I wanna sharpen everything up again now that my knees are feeling good. Many thanks to @ways2well for helping me with my injuries and @kneesovertoesguy for the knee strengthening instruction! And shoutout to the great @georgesstpierre for the inspiration from his @rootsoffight shirt!”

Joe Rogan Talks on Conor McGregor’s ‘Freakish Power’

It’s pretty clear to see that Rogan himself packs a devastating punch, or kick should we say. Watching fights nearly every week must mean that you see devastating power quite often.

However, there is one man and one moment that sticks out to Rogan above anything else.

On an episode of the JRE (Joe Rogan Experience) Podcast Rogan calls back 2015 to when Conor McGregor starched Jose Aldo just 13 seconds into their bout.

“He’s just got that freakish punch. I mean that’s just genius; he had a little bit of a cut over his right eyebrow from that punch. Look how genius this is, that’s so genius. You know what’s even more genius? He worked on the exact same thing, and he mimicked what he was going to do, in the green room. There’s a video of him, Conor, Conor pretending to be Aldo and then him showing what he’s going to do and counter. He does the exact same move in the green room, knowing in the dressing room, knowing that’s going to be the fight.”

Despite seeing many fights, it appears no one throws a punch quite like Conor McGregor.

A self-proclaimed Kung Fu master recently issued a call out to former K-1 Grand Prix victor and Knockout of the Year winner, the 23-8, Rukiya Anpo, and when pitted with the 26-year-old in a sparring session, suffered a rather one-sided and difficult to watch beating over the course of a single round.

Posting the entire 20-minute long video on his official YouTube page, Himeji, Japan native, Anpo first battles with another Muay Thai practitioner in a sparring session, before the proclaimed Kung Fu master challenges him to a spar.

‘Kung Fu master’ suffers one-sided beat down in sparring session with former K-1 best, Rukiya Anpo

Sporting a blue Gi, the Kung Fu practitioner in question is immediately laced to the body with a series of sharp, stabbing front kicks, as Anpo then begins to lash through with leg kicks, before throwing his lower limbs higher. A well-placed front teep kick also drops the Kung Fu practitioner early

Throughout the sparring session, which lasted a round, Anpo really begins to unload on the Kung Fu practitioner, landing a series of winging hooks and countless flurries of strikes with his hands, visibly staggering and wobbling the Kung Fu master.

Before the buzzer signals the end of the frame, the Kung Fu master is backed to the corners of the padded room, with Anpo unleashing a series of winging hooks, catching him clean on almost every output, before the klaxon sounds, and the Kung Fu practitioner bows and smiles after finding himself on the receiving end of a series of knee strikes to the midsection.

Anpo, 26, has managed to score 23 separate career victories and has lodged 12 separate knockout wins over the course of his professional kickboxing career. Anpo has a background in both kickboxing as well as Kyokushin karate.

The former K-1 super lightweight champion is currently competing at the welterweight limit under the organization’s banner and holds a series of notable wins over the likes of Fukashi, Kaew Fairtex, Daizo Sasaki, Hideaki Yamazaki, Kenta Hayashi, and Deng Zeqi to name a few.

The two-time K-1 Knockout of the Year victor has been awarded those accolades for highlight-reel knockout wins over both Hiroshi Mizumachi and the aforenoted, Yamazaki.
