Apparently Drake and U2’s Bono weren’t the only two Hollywood A-listers that UFC Featherweight Champion Conor McGregor rubbed shoulders with over the weekend.

In addition to attending the Drake concert in Los Angeles, California and meeting up with the rap star backstage (photo here), “The Notorious” one appeared in photos alongside rock legend Bono (view here).

Now, photos are making the rounds of an arm-wrestling match that McGregor took part in against music artist Yung Skeeter, formerly known as D.J. Skee, with pop star Katy Perry serving as the referee.

The photos and subsequent media coverage prompted all three parties to comment with each other on social media. A fan sent a tweet that was re-tweeted around by the celebrities, with McGregor claiming Skeeter was “light work” in a tweet he sent to Katy Perry.

Meanwhile, Skeeter seemingly jokingly claims to have had a good showing, as he replied by tweeting, “*Tears off shirt pretending I’m at weigh in but actually in my room* DO I UPLOAD THE VIDEO FOR THE PEOPLE?!” For her part, Katy Perry simply wrote, “It was rigged from the get.”

You can check out the photo that has been making the rounds, as well as the interaction between McGregor, Skeeter and Katy Perry below.

Brock Lesnar wrestled his first pro wrestling match for World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) since his UFC 200 comeback fight at the company’s annual “SummerSlam” pay-per-view on Sunday night and well, it’s safe to say “The Beast Incarnate” lives up to the nickname regardless of where he is competing.

Lesnar wrestled veteran WWE Superstar Randy Orton at the show in a match billed as “15 Years in the Making.” The two closed out the show with a match that ended by TKO due to doctor stoppage when Lesnar blasted Orton with a vicious elbow from inside Orton’s guard.

No, seriously …that’s how it ended.

Yes, everyone knows that WWE performers follow scripts, but as they say, “this ain’t ballet” and guys get banged up and injured way more often than non-pro wrestling fans might think.

Featured above are video highlights of the match released by WWE late Sunday night, however the elbow and cut are not included.

Below are photos that documents what happened for those who didn’t watch the show, and as you’ll see, Lesnar’s elbow shot badly opened up Orton with what the pro wrestling community calls a “hard-way cut,” which essentially means real, or accidental. Due to WWE’s policy on blood and the fact that WWE coudn’t control the bleeding, the match was stopped and Lesnar was declared the TKO winner.

Cro Cop Posts New Rizin Poster That Has Fans Speculating About Potential Fedor Rematch

While there have been no official reports that would suggest it directly, a new promotional poster for the upcoming September 25th Rizin FF event has many speculating about the possibility of a rematch between two legendary MMA heavyweights.

On Thursday afternoon, MMA legend Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic took to social media, where he posted the photo of the new Rizin FF promotional poster for their 9/25 event that features himself and fellow legendary MMA heavyweight Fedor Emelianenko.

It should be noted, however, that the 9/25 event features the beginning of the promotion’s innagural “Grand Prix” event, which is a tournament that is expected to feature participation from the likes of Wanderlei Silva, as well as the aforementioned Fedor and Cro Cop.

In fact, Rizin FF officials have also expressed desire in obtaining the services of another familiar face from PRIDE’s past, the promotion responsible for some of the best “Grand Prix” tournament events in history, as former PRIDE executive Nobuyuki Sakikibara has offered an invitation to Quinton “Rampage” Jackson to compete in the tourney.

Rizin FF’s Open Weight Grand Prix tournament kicks off with their 9/25 event. Other fighters included in the tournament will be former PRIDE heavyweight star Kazuyuki Fujita and sumo champion Kaido Hoovelson. Four of the 16 fighters who will compete in the tournament will be receiving an automatic bye to the quarterfinals, which is scheduled to take place as part of the December 29 event. The tournament is scheduled to wrap-up at the big year-end New Year’s Eve event, a national tradition in Japan, on December 31.

Non-tournament matches scheduled for the opening round show on September 25 includes Daron Cruickshank vs. Andy Souwer, as well as women’s fights with Gabi Garcia and Kanako Murata fighting different opponents in individual bouts.
