Mackenzie Dern is one of the UFC’s top five “baddies” according to Aljamain Sterling’s girlfriend, Rebecca Cruz.

Recently, the ‘Funk Master’ welcomed Cruz on his YouTube channel where the two discussed a variety of topics in the world of mixed martial arts. During one portion of their conversation, Sterling asked Cruz to name who she would list as her five favorite “baddies” inside the Octagon.

It should come as no surprise that Dern, who just scored her 10th UFC victory via a third-round submission over Amanda Ribas, was near the top of the list.

But who were the other four?

As you can see in the above clip, Cruz put Brazil’s Tabatha Ricci at the top of her list, followed by Dern.

Cruz then rounded out her top five with a trio of Brazilian bombshells, including Natalia Silva, Dern’s opponent at UFC Vegas 101, Amanda Ribas, and Polyana Viana, respectively.

Facing a mixed martial artist such as Prochazka inside the UFC octagon is no small task, but Pereira made easy work of his opponent. The head kick landed flush just barely over a dozen seconds into the second round, and the rest was history. A history of overcoming every obstacle placed in his way so far inside the UFC, and a history that is slowly becoming the very stuff of legend.

Now 2-0 over Prochazka and riding a four-fight winning streak, Pereira now officially stands 8-1 in his UFC career. He’s attained titles in multiple weight divisions and also faced the literal stiffest competition that both divisions have to offer. So, it is no surprise that a beautiful Ex-Girlfriend of Alex Pereira is still celebrating his many victories.

Wearing a low-cut pink shirt reading, “I’m his favorite ex,” Polyana Viana was in the crowd at UFC 303 and rooting for Alex Pereira. The UFC light heavyweight champion spoke on his relationship with Viana earlier this year and seemingly downplayed the connection, abstaining from attachment and simply suggesting that they were just training partners.

Whether or not any serious relations developed between the two is moot, and it’s just more comical legend to add to the beautiful lore that is becoming the story of one of the UFC greats: Alex Pereira.

After his longtime girlfriend, Merle Christine disappeared from his social media, MMA Twitter was determined to find out what went wrong between the two. According to Pereira during an interview with Full Send, Christine was actually married to another man — though she did later clarify that she was separated from her soon-to-be ex-husband.

Since then, it appears as though Alex Pereira has already moved on. Last month, fans noticed a handful of videos popping up featuring ‘Poatan’ and Brazilian beauty Polyana Viana, who posted a clip on Instagram of the two grappling in Pereira’s kitchen.

So how does Alex Pereira keep getting all ladies? Well, wonder no longer as the reigning UFC light heavyweight champion has shared his secret with the world, courtesy of a video clip originally shared on his YouTube channel.

“Pull up on them and be like, ‘Damn, your face reminds me of my first girlfriend.’ Then she’ll be like, ‘Damn, you’re comparing me?’ Then she’ll be like, ‘What do you mean?’ Then you say, ‘Well, I never dated before.’”

When Pereira is not busy mixing the culinary arts with BJJ, the two-division titleholder is gearing up for a showdown with former 205-pound king Jamahal Hill in the UFC 300 headliner on April 13. It will be Pereira’s first defense of the belt since scoring a second-round knockout against Jiri Prochazka to claim the crown in November.

As for Viana, the 31-year-old fighter is a lackluster 4-6 inside the Octagon and is coming off of back-to-back second-round losses against Iasmin Lucindo and Gillian Robertson. Overall she is 13-7 in her mixed martial arts career, though we don’t suspect it’s her work inside the cage that is keeping her under contract with the UFC.

Gillian Robertson got back into the win column with an impressive performance against Polyana Viana at UFC 297 on Saturday night.

Stepping inside the Octagon in her home country of Canada, ‘The Savage’ scored a highlight-reel-worthy finish after coming up short against Tabatha Ricci in June. Robertson entered the bout determined to get back into the win column in emphatic fashion. She did exactly that with a pummeling of Viana.

Working her opponent down to the canvas, Robertson easily moved into mount and began blasting ‘Dama de Ferro’ with a series of strikes and elbows that left Viana with no other option, but to cover up and wait for the referee to step in and save her from the onslaught.

Official Result: Gillian Robertson def. Polyana Viana via TKO (ground and pound) at 3:12 of Round 2.

Robertson has now won three of her last four bouts while Viana is staring down the barrel of back-to-back losses inside the Octagon.

UFC strawweight, Polyana Viana revealed that she has tried to walk out in cosplay, but the UFC has denied her on multiple occasions.

The UFC is far from the times when fighters could wear custom shorts and walk-out gear, adding a flare to the sport. For an individual sport, it seems odd that the athletes in the world’s biggest MMA organisation have such a strict uniform policy – especially considering how little fighters are paid to wear the sponsor’s clothing.

The UFC even went as far to ban fighters carrying their country’s flags, so it wasn’t too much of a surprise that Viana was not allowed to sport any form as cosplay. Viana is a big anime fan and regularly posts photos to social media of her dressed up of characters from shows

“I’ve tried so many times and I’ve actually asked to come in with a bandana,” Viana said to the media. “They’ve never allowed it. I wanted a cape. I’ve tried with like a blank bandana – I can’t. Apparently, Naruto is a brand that does not allow it or something like that. I’ve tried so many times. I’ve asked. They never let me do it, but if I could, I definitely would.”

Viana will take on Iasmin Lucindo on the main card of UFC Vegas 78 tomorrow night and will look to build on her win over Jinh Yu Frey last November. After an 0-3 start to her time in the UFC, Viana has enjoyed a nice 3-1 run in her past four and a win on Saturday could see her get a crack at the top-15.
