Former UFC light heavyweight champion, Rampage Jackson has reacted to footage of UFC president, Dana White engaging in a physical altercation with his wife on New Year’s Eve last, in which the long-time promotional leader slaps his partner during an argument following a verbal back-and-forth.
Jackson, a former undisputed light heavyweight champion under the banner of the UFC, ended his professional mixed martial arts career under the banner of Bellator MMA, suffering a one-sided first round knockout loss incoming title challenger, Fedor Emelianenko in December 2019.
Winning the undisputed light heavyweight title in 2007, Rampage Jackson stopped Chuck Liddell before unifying the Pride FC middleweight title with the UFC crown with a unanimous decision win over Dan Henderson in September of that year.
In his most recent professional victory, fan-favorite knockout artist, Jackson stopped former Pride FC middleweight kingpin, Wanderlei Silva with a second round TKO at Bellator 206 in September 2018.
Rampage Jackson shares his thoughts on Dana White’s altercation with his wife
“Basically, in my opinion, I don’t think a woman should put her hands on a man,” Rampage Jackson said on the No Jumper podcast. “Just don’t open up that can of worms, ‘cause we’re a lot stronger and bigger than them. I don’t condone domestic violence, but with what Dana White did – what I saw, like kinda smack her back a little bit.”
“Me, personally – I probably just would’ve thrown my drink in her face,” Rampage Jackson explained. “Like pushed her off of me, I probably wouldn’t have smacked her back myself. I’ve been told I’ve got a heavy hand, I probably would’ve knocked the b*tch out.”
Maintaining his punishment should see him labelled and criticized for his actions for the remainder of his life and professional career, White has questioned what punishment he should face beyond reaction to his actions.
“There’s a lot of things that I’m going to have to deal with for the rest of my life that are way more of a punishment than what, I take a 30-day [or a] 60-day absence?” Dana White said. “That’s not a punishment to me. The punishment is that I did it, and now I have to deal with it.”

Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson has recently given some advice to Jon Jones regarding his heavyweight debut while also admitting to a few doubts he has about Jones’ chin at the new weightclass. Jackson also detailed his plans for the remaining twilight of his legendary career, spilling the beans that a foray into boxing might be on the horizon soon.
“Honestly, no cap, Jon Jones is the best person I ever fought,” ‘Rampage’ told a TMZ reporter. “I don’t think I can give him advice, he’s a better fighter then me.”
“I don’t know about Jon Jones‘ chin,” he continued. “There’s been rumors that he doesn’t have a strong chin. Some of them heavyweights man, they hit harder. I feel like Jones is a smart fighter. It was really hard for me to hit him, he wouldn’t let me hit him… Granted, Jones is a dirty fighter, when you get close to him he’s gonna poke you in the eye and kick your knee backwards… Heavyweights, they’re different monsters man. They hit hard.”
Soon, the tide of conversation turned to ‘Bones’ and the quality of opponent he should face on his return. ‘Rampage’ Jackson was deadset on his answer, claiming that Jones truly needs a warm-up fight to adjust to the new division and shake off any lingering ring-rust.
“I would say his first heavyweight fight he should do a warm up. He shouldn’t go in there with the big boys… He should fight somebody like 230lbs. He don’t wanna fight nobody like 265lbs… Not your (Jon Jones’) first fight (in the new division).”
Rampage Jackson speaks on his future career plans
“I ain’t done,” Jackson continued, talking about his own career now. “Im not happy with my performance my last fight. I can’t leave the MMA fans like that… Im in talks with fighting Shannon (Briggs), that fights been like almost a year in the making.”
A professional MMA fighter for over 20 years now, ‘Rampage’ continued to elaborate on his future, indicating that his battle-tested body may be a little too worn down for any MMA fights. Although he would go on to say that such a thing isn’t quite out of the realm of possibility.
“I wanna do some boxing before I retire… I might do MMA… I wanna do boxing. Im getting up there, I’m 44 now man,” ‘Rampage’ concluded, also mentioning that wrestling and his old knees just don’t mix anymore.
Who would you like to see ‘Rampage’ Jackson box, or should he just retire?

As an MMA fighter, Jackson holds the sport as number one but is also a huge fan of boxing. However, he feels as though boxing suffered a dry spell before the Paul brothers stepped in.
“I don’t think about them but I think that they are very entertaining. It seems like they resuscitated boxing. With all due respect to all the boxers even though I’m MMA all day, I represent MMA and we got a war against boxers right now, I don’t hate boxers or the sport of boxing. I think boxing is a great craft that I’ve been trading for 15 or more years now. Once Mike Tyson left boxing wasn’t exciting anymore,” Jackson told SCMP MMA.
As a YouTube star with millions of subscribers, Jake Paul brings a lot of attention to the sport.
Many assumed the social media personality would see defeat against experienced fighters but at 5-0 and wanting more, Paul continues to train and make headlines.
Boxing and MMA fans everywhere tuned in to watch him give Woodley’s first L in boxing, and then finish him by knockout in their rematch.

Even Claressa Shields gave props to Paul for his recent influence in women’s boxing. Though the two have clashed, Shields appreciates the work he has done for getting next weekend’s highly anticipated Serrano v Taylor fight off the ground.
Many fighters are siding with Jake Paul. His stance on fighter pay has a lot of UFC fighters thanking him. And now, even a seasoned mixed martial artist like “Rampage” Jackson is acknowledging the accomplishments of the rising boxing star.

A mysterious Russian MMA fighter is making headlines today after one of the most unusual assaults we’ve seen at a press conference to date.
The whole thing was captured on video, taken from a press conference held by a Russian promotion thought to be called “Arena Fighting”.
The clip opens up with one fighter advancing to the other, flowers in hand. He extends them as a gift, but when the other fighter starts to get up, the man who had the flowers hits him with a roundhouse that appears to get checked.
That doesn’t stop the action, as the original aggressor takes his opponent down, as security and even another random fighter intervened to split them up.
Things seem to calm down once the two get separated, but all of a sudden the MMA fighters get back into it again, and the gift giver seemingly lands or barely grazes the recipient with a spinning back kick. Unfortunately for the man who was given the gift and assaulted, security was about to rough him up too.
One of the security guards can be seen getting the gift recipient in a rear-body lock, before fully raising him up and channeling Rampage Jackson’s aura with a vicious slam.
Russia is known for having some of the wilder MMA promotions. Including Epic Fighting, which is known for putting on purposefully mismatched fights, or “Freak Show Fights”, including male vs female bouts.
One such fight saw a female MMA fighter take on a 530lbs man. While another featured a female fighter named Yulia Mishko who took on a 75-year old man and his 18-year-old grandson at the same time… and she won.
