UFC Fight Night 128 emanated tonight (Saturday, April 21, 2018) from the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, NJ. The headliner saw two 155-pound contenders, Kevin Lee and Edson Barboza, duke it out for supremacy.

Apart form the main event, former World Series Of Fighting (WSOF) two-division champ David Branch made an emphatic statement against Thiago Santos with a first round knockout.

This was several months removed from his second round defeat to ex-UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold. Branch took home an extra $50,000 for his efforts and Performance Of The Night.

Our second recipient of Performance Of The Night goes to none other than welterweight Siyar Bahadurzada. He pulled off an amazing second round TKO over opponent Luan Chagas by way of body kick.

It was one of the more dramatic finishes of the night and earned the 34-year-old $50,000 more to take home.

Finally, fight of the night goes to the bantamweight scrap between Merab Dvalishvili and Ricky Simon. Simon made his Octagon debut in Atlantic City, and what a debut it was.

The end of the fight brought a ton of controversy as Simon locked in a choke that seemed to render Dvalishvili unconscious. The referee never called the fight off and it seemed as though the fight would go to the judges’ scorecards.

Instead. the decision was made to award Simon the fight for rendering his opponent unconscious with the choke. They’ll both take home an extra $50,000 for their amazing performances.

Tonight’s (Sat., April 21, 2018) UFC Fight Night 128 from the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey, features a variety of potentially exciting bouts across several weight classes, but the upcoming match-ups may have trouble topping one of the early fights on the card.

Experienced knockout artist Siyar Bahadurzada took on Luan Chagas on the second bout of the FOX Sports 1-aired preliminary card, and even though Chagas held his own throughout the first frame and half of the second, ‘The Great’ came out victorious.

Landing an absolutely brutal front kick to the solar plexus, Bahadurzada followed up on a badly hurt Chagas with a brutal uppercut to seal the deal. Watch the exciting finish here:

The UFC returned from an extended hiatus today (Saturday, September 2, 2017) at the Ahoy Rotterdam in Rotterdam, Netherlands. The European card was headlined by two massive heavyweights in Stefan Struve and Alexander Volkov in a heavyweight slugfest.

The main event was a foul-laden affair, with Struve poking Volkov in the eye multiple times and receiving one of his own, without any points being deducted. Struve opened a big gash under Volkov’s eye late in round one with a flying knee, but Volkov answered that with a takedown and stiff ground and pound.

“Drago” gradually took over in the second and third rounds, as he repeatedly snapped back Struve’s head with punches and chewed up his legs with kicks. Struve started to slow down and Volkov’s hand speed began telling, as he countered effectively and punched around Struve’s guard in combination when “The Skyscraper” put up his defenses.

Volkov finally forced Struve to his seat behind a final barrage of blows against the fence, and referee Marc Goddard was not far behind him.

The co-main event featured middleweights, as Siyar Bahadurzada welcomed undefeated Australian Rob Wilkinson to the UFC. It was a rude welcome, as Bahadurzada battered the newcomer with power punchdes for a second-round TKO.

In the co-main event of tonight’s (Sat. September 2, 2017) UFC Fight Night 115 event from the Ahoy Rotterdam arena in Rotterdam, Netherlands, middleweights Siyar Bahadurzada and Rob Wilkinson but on quite the contest.

Bahadurzada came into the bout off a third round submission win over Brandon Thatch at UFC 196 in March of last year. Since then he has been nursing an injury but made his Octagon return earlier today against Wilkinson. Prior to his win over Thatch, Bahadurzada suffered back-to-back losses to Dong Hyun Kim and John Howard.

Wilkinson made his UFC debut tonight as he came into the fight undefeated in his mixed martial arts (MMA) career. The 25-year-old had finished his previous six fights after going the distance for the first and only time in his career back in 2013. The young man is extremely well rounded, having won six of his 12 career wins via submission and four via knockout.

The bout between Bahadurzada and Wilkinson was fairly back-and-forth early on as Wilkinson was able to get a couple of takedowns under his belt while Bahadurzada ripped off some heavy wild shots. It was in the second round, however, when Bahadurzada landed a massive combo that floored Wilkinson – and it was all downhill from there.

Bahadurzada continued a flurry of an assault on a wobbled Wilkinson before the ref stepped in to wave the fight off. After the fight Bahadurzada declared his intentions to challenge for the title soon, and noted he’s ready to step into the cage against the best 185 pounds has to offer. Here’s the fight’s finish:
