Undefeated women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey will put her title belt on the line Saturday in Brazil as the biggest betting favorite of her career against unbeaten No. 5 contender Bethe Correia in the main event at UFC 190.

Rousey (11-0) will be fighting outside North America for the first time and is at -1600 (bet $1,600 to win $100) against the Brazilian Correia (9-0), who is a +800 underdog (bet $100 to win $800) at sportsbooks monitored by Odds Shark with victories over two of the champ’s training partners in her past two bouts.

The challenger Correia will be attempting to become just the second opponent to ever take Rousey to the second round, as the past two have lasted a combined 30 seconds in the Octagon with her before being finished.

Miesha Tate made it to the third round in her championship fight with Rousey back in 2013 at UFC 168 before tapping out via her infamous armbar submission for the second time in as many bouts. The previous time came for the Strikeforce title in 2012.

Of her 11 MMA fights, Rousey has submitted nine opponents with an armbar, including six within the first minute of the first round. Previously, the biggest number on Rousey was -1000 when she fought Liz Carmouche in her UFC debut on Feb. 23, 2013. That UFC 157 bout ended with a Rousey armbar at the 4:49 mark of the first round.

In the co-main event at HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, former light heavyweight champ Mauricio “Shogun” Rua (22-10) will take on Antonio Rogerio Nogueira (21-6) in a rematch of their PRIDE battle from 10 years ago. Rua won the first bout by unanimous decision in what was named Fight of the Year, and he is a solid -200 betting favorite to win the second matchup as well.

Nogueira is a +160 underdog and has gone 2-3 in his past five fights with wins over Rashad Evans and Tito Ortiz, but he is coming off a first-round knockout loss to Anthony Johnson last July 26 in just 44 seconds. However, Rua has struggled even more recently, dropping four of his last five bouts, with the lone victory over James Te Huna via first-round knockout two years ago.

UFC 189 Conor McGregor vs. Chad Mendes Matchup Odds and Betting Preview

UFC 189 features two championship fights on Saturday in Las Vegas, but one of them will be for an interim title, as No. 3 featherweight contender Conor McGregor takes on No. 1 Chad Mendes as a solid betting favorite in the main event.

McGregor (17-2) has received a lot of early backing from MMA bettors, jumping to minus-175 (bet $175 to win $100) at sportsbooks monitored by Odds Shark against Mendes (17-2), who is the plus-145 underdog (bet $100 to win $145) despite suffering the only two losses of his career to UFC champion Jose Aldo.

Aldo was originally slated to face McGregor but had to pull out of the fight because of a rib injury, giving Mendes his second title shot in three bouts. Mendes and Aldo battled in what was named 2014 Fight of the Year at UFC 179 last October 25, with the champ doing just enough to earn a unanimous-decision victory over five rounds and defend his championship for the seventh time after being promoted from the WEC.

But McGregor is the UFC’s newest star, and he will have sizable eight-inch reach and three-inch height advantages against Mendes when he steps into the Octagon at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

The brash Irishman is riding a 13-fight winning streak and owns a perfect 5-0 mark in the UFC following three consecutive TKO victories that also won him Performance of the Night bonuses.

In the co-main event, UFC welterweight champ Robbie Lawler (25-10, one no-contest) will meet challenger Rory MacDonald (18-2), whose lone loss in his past nine fights came against Lawler in 2013.

Lawler was on the right side of a split-decision victory against MacDonald at UFC 167 and went on to win three of his next four, including a split decision over former champ Johny Hendricks last December for the title.

Regardless, much like McGregor, MacDonald is viewed as a future UFC champ and has been tabbed as a minus-185 betting favorite by oddsmakers in the rematch with Lawler (+150).

Both fighters have won three in a row, with MacDonald scoring a third-round TKO victory in his most recent bout against Tarec Saffiedine last October 4 in a Performance of the Night.

UFC 187 Betting Preview: Anthony Johnson vs. Daniel Cormier Odds, Matchup Stats

Jon Jones’ relinquished light heavyweight title belt will be on the line Saturday night at UFC 187 as No. 1 contender Anthony Johnson faces No. 3 challenger Daniel Cormier, who will get his second shot to win that championship this year.

Despite being the higher-ranked UFC fighter heading into the championship bout, Johnson is the even-money underdog, while Cormier is the 10-13 favorite (bet $130 to win $100) for the main event.

Cormier lost a unanimous decision to Jones at UFC 182 on January 3, suffering the first setback of his MMA career after 15 consecutive wins.

The former Olympic wrestler is best known for winning the Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix tournament as a replacement entry for Alistair Overeem three years ago, and he will be fighting at 205 pounds for the fourth time in the UFC.

Meanwhile, Johnson (19-4) is coming off an impressive first-round knockout of former No. 1 contender Alexander Gustafsson on his home turf in Sweden on January 24. That event was billed as a light heavyweight title eliminator bout with Gustafsson a 1-3 favorite coming off a tough UD loss to Jones in his previous fight.

Johnson has won three in a row since returning to the UFC following six combined wins outside the organization, including three in the World Series of Fighting.

Johnson’s last loss came against top middleweight contender Vitor Belfort, who will be battling champion Chris Weidman for the title belt in the co-main event. Johnson fought Belfort at a catchweight of 197 pounds after missing weight at UFC 142 and was submitted via rear-naked choke with 11 seconds left in the first round.

Belfort (24-10) has been installed as a 7-2 underdog against the unbeaten Weidman (12-0), who is a massive 1-5 favorite.

The two have been trying to put together this matchup for more than a year, as Belfort was banned from using testosterone replacement therapy for UFC 173, and then Weidman had to postpone fighting new opponents since beating his replacement, Lyoto Machida, there due to hand and rib injuries.

At UFC Fight Night 59, Conor McGregor will look to take another step closer to the featherweight championship in a showcase matchup against Dennis Siver, who has his sights set on spoiling the party.

With four wins in as many UFC appearances, McGregor has had a meteoric rise in the 145-pound division. His showmanship has expedited his trip toward the top of the featherweight rankings, but the Irishman didn’t get there without big wins, as he’s coming off a knockout victory over Dustin Poirier.

In October, Siver returned from a suspension and defeated Charles Rosa. It wasn’t the type of win that would normally earn a fighter a bout of this magnitude, but Siver might just be a sacrificial lamb of sorts heading into UFC Fight Night 59 and will have to play spoiler to earn some respect.

Also featuring a third meeting between Donald Cerrone and Benson Henderson, Sunday’s event is one that MMA fans won’t want to miss. Here are the current main card betting odds, via OddsShark.com, along with predictions for each matchup.

In the co-main event, Myles Jury will attempt to continue his climb upward in the lightweight rankings against Donald Cerrone. With five straight wins, Cowboy is still looking for his first UFC title shot and could take a big step closer by halting Jury’s advancement.
