The UFC will make its way back to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for UFC 153 Saturday night.

What was originally supposed to feature a featherweight title fight, the main event will now feature Anderson Silva returning to light heavyweight to take on Stephan Bonnar

Also featured on the card is Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira taking on Dave Herman, Erick Silva vs. John Fitch and Glover Teixeira.

There are many exciting fights on the card. But here are the fighters that will take home Fight Night bonuses.

Submission of the Night: Antonio Nogueira

There are many great Brazilian jiu-jitsu fighters on Saturday’s cards. In fact, a few are multi-degree black belts.

But there may not be any greater than “Big Nog.”

With 20 submission victories on his resume, it’s hard to go against him for Submission of the Night.

As great as Nog‘s submission game is, he has actually never won a Submission of the Night bonus.

The last time he fought in Rio, he got Knockout of the Night. Expect Nogueira to come out Saturday night and look for a submission any chance he gets.

Knock Out of the Night: Anderson Silva

There aren’t many people giving Stephan Bonnar a chance Saturday.

I am one of those people.

Bonnar is as tough as they come. He has never lost by submission and does not have a true knockout on his record.

But he’s taking on Anderson Silva, the greatest MMA fighter of our time and maybe the history of the sport.

Silva has 19 wins by KO. I’ll take that over just about anybody’s chin any day.

Fight of the Night: Teixeira vs. Maldonado

There are many great fights on this card.

But I believe the one that will steal the show is Glover Teixeira vs. Fabio Maldonado.

Between the two, they have 23 wins by KO and eight by submission.

Considering this is the only fight that features two Brazilians taking on each other, both men should be highly motivated to put on a good show for the hometown crowd.

Little more than a day before the UFC 153 fight card in Brazil, no one really knows what to make of light heavyweight Stephan Bonnar.

Even though he’s a massive underdog and no one expects him to put up much of a fight, Bonnar still insists that he can beat Anderson Silva, the greatest fighter in MMA history.

That kind of confidence is admirable, if strange.

Does Bonnar know something we don’t? What makes him so confident?

And if he does defeat MMA’s pound-for-pound king, what then?

As we go further into fight weekend, here are five big questions we still have about “The American Psycho” that won’t be answered until UFC Rio 3 is in the books.

UFC 153: Which Fighter Has the Most to Gain?

This may be one of the easiest questions to answer heading into UFC 153. The card has been salvaged due to injury concerns and now features a colossal mismatch in the main event.

Without a question the fighter with the most to gain is Stephan Bonnar. Nobody, not even Bonnar‘s own mother believes he will walk away from this without some serious battle scars. He is after all facing one of, if not the greatest fighter of all time.

A fighter will often fight to the best of their abilities when they have nothing to lose. Such is the case for “The American Psycho” on Saturday night at UFC 153.

Bonnar created a career for himself with one fight, the finale to the first season of The Ultimate Fighter. His bout with Forrest Griffin is universally accepted as being the match to kickstart MMA into the popular entity it has become.

He will have another chance to define his career with a single fight at UFC 153.

Silva has reigned over the UFC middleweight division since joining the company. He’s either destroyed or toyed with every opponent put in his path sans Chael Sonnen. Silva has made mincemeat of his opponents when jumping up to 205 lbs.

Silva’s victory over Griffin was awe inspiring of what a talented fighter he is.

Bonnar will have the chance to stain or possibly even erase all that at UFC 153. He enters the contest on a three-fight win streak but none of those men will have prepared Bonnar for what awaits him against Silva.

For a man whose career has been pedestrian at best, the fight against Silva could be a godsend. It gives Bonnar that chance to walk away from the sport he helped grow with the ultimate trump card, a victory over “The Spider.”

It’s an honor very few men have in life and for Bonnar, it would be a miraculous end to a career.

If Bonnar walks out of the Octagon with his head still on his shoulders it will be viewed as a moral victory at the least. Bonnar has absolutely nothing to lose and everything to gain against Silva. It’s Silva’s legacy on the line at UFC 153.

Will Bonnar seize the moment and pull off the biggest upset in MMA history?
