Ronda Rousey isn’t afraid to express her nerdy side as she gets ready for the next stage of her life; being a mother with former UFC heavyweight Travis Browne.

Rousey uploaded a video on Tuesday showing off a Pokemon-themed gender reveal as the couple moves closer to the expected due date of their first child. Many couples around the world have been notoriously involved one some edgier gender reveals as of late, but Rousey and Browne wanted to keep things light-hearted and true to themselves.

“Our gender reveal is finally here,” Rousey said. “We didn’t want to do anything that would set hundreds of acres ablaze or thousands even. Some people are idiots. We didn’t want to do that. So we’re keeping it simple, we’re keeping it safe, we’re keeping it Browsey Acres-style.”

Rousey announced earlier this year on Instagram that she and Browne were expecting their first child. The former MMA standout and now WWE star took a leave of absence from professional wrestling following her last appearance at Wrestlemania 35.

Rousey and Browne have been together since 2015 and were engaged and married in 2017.

Rousey transitioned from her long, accomplished tenure in the UFC to professional wrestling following her devastating loss to Amanda Nunes back at UFC 207. As of right now, it appears that Rousey will return to professional wrestling sometime in 2022, but there’s no clear timetable presented as of right now.

Rousey’s first UFC title defense against Liz Carmouche is considered to be one of the most important fights in UFC history. She is a legend of the sport of MMA and appears to be enjoying life away from the spotlight with Browne by her side, and a baby girl on the way. The couple is expecting their first child to arrive on September 22nd.

Ronda Rousey Travis Browne

After months of speculation and rumors, former UFC star and current WWE standout Ronda Rousey is pregnant and is expecting her first child in September.

Rousey announced earlier today on her Instagram that her and former UFC heavyweight Travis Browne have accomplished the goal that they set out on after taking a leave from WWE after Wrestlemania 35.

In a since-deleted home video, Rousey and Browne announced the heartwarming news.

“I’ve been pregnant since January, so four months,” Rousey said. “I just wanted to share with you guys a little bit of the journey we’ve been on and there’s much more to the story that we’ll be telling later.”

Rousey and Browne have been together since 2015, and were engaged and married in 2017.

WWE executives have talked about Rousey’s return to the ring as recently as just weeks ago, but will need to delay those plans with the recent announcement of her pregnancy. Rousey made the move to professional wrestling after her final bout in the UFC against Amanda Nunes at UFC 207.

WWE also took to Twitter to congratulate Rousey and Browne.

“The Baddest Baby on the Planet is on the way!” the organization tweeted.

Wrestling fans can now expect Rousey to return to the ring some time in 2022, at the earliest. “Rowdy” quickly emerged as one of the biggest stars in professional wrestling alongside female stars Becky Lynch, Charlotte Blair and Stephanie McMahon.

Rousey is considered to be one of the pioneers of MMA as well, competing as the first female UFC champion and defending her UFC bantamweight title six times. Rousey’s first UFC title defense against Liz Carmouche is considered to be one of the most important fights in UFC history.

Rousey comes off a WrestleMania 35 loss to Becky Lynch, where she dropped her RAW Women’s Championship in a Triple Threat main event involving Charlotte Flair, who also lost her SmackDown Live Women’s Title in the match. It was the first-ever women’s match in history to main event a WrestleMania.

Now, Rousey will be sidelined for several months with an injured hand. She’ll be using that time off to start the next chapter of her life. Back in a January interview with ESPN, Rousey admitted that she has aspirations to start a family soon:

“I’ve not kept it a secret that I would definitely want to start a family,” Rousey said. “But how do you go about doing that? I love this way more than I thought that I would. So do you just keep going until you just happen to get pregnant?

“Or should you stop and go try and get pregnant? Or is going and trying to get pregnant putting yourself on the spot and then you’re less likely to get pregnant? I’ve never had a baby before, I don’t know these kinds of things. It would be kind of cool to just keep acting and then one day, ‘Hey, surprise twist, I’m pregnant.’

“That would be fun. There’s a lot of things up in the air. A lot of decisions that we’ve gotta make as a family. I’m trying to figure it out as I go along.”

Travis Browne defends WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart from a crazed fan who decided to attack the legendary pro wrestler.

WWE held a ceremony for the 2019 Hall of Fame class that honored the wrestlers who have had success in the pro wrestling business on Saturday night the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York as part of WrestleMania 35 weekend. The event aired live on the WWE Network.

Hart was making a speech alongside WWE star Natalya as part of the induction for The Hart Foundation (Hart and Jim Neidhart). During the speech, a fan rushed the ring and tried to tackle Hart.

Several people got their hands on the man as he was being taken out. Those involved include Browne, Raw Tag Team Champion Dash Wilder, Davey Boy Smith Jr, The New Day, Titus O’Neil and Bret himself.

The reason that Browne was in attendance is due to him being the boyfriend of Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey. The fan was charged with two counts of assault in the 3rd degree and disorderly conduct. WWE issued a statement on the incident by stating the following:

“An over-exuberant fan surpassed our security at ringside and made his way briefly into the ring. The individual has been turned over to the proper authorities.”

A former UFC champion has been suspended by USADA.

News broke today (Tues., Sept. 11, 2018) that former UFC heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum will be on the sidelines for two years following a failed drug test.

“Vai Cavalo” tested positive for anabolic steroid trenbolone and its metabolite epitrenbolone in an out-of-competition screening on April 25 ahead of his scheduled heavyweight battle with Aleksei Oleinik at this Saturday’s (Sept. 15, 2018) UFC Moscow. Werdum was pulled from the card and replaced, ironically enough, by former opponent Mark Hunt.

Werdum is one of the most decorated grapplers in UFC and MMA history overall. He holds notable submission wins over Fedor Emelianenko, Cain Velasquez, and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira. Werdum won the interim heavyweight title by knocking out Hunt in November 2014 and then unified the titles by submitting Velasquez at UFC 188 the following year.

Now, however, he’ll be on the sidelines until May 22, 2020, at the earliest, as his suspension retroactively dates back to May 22, 2018 – the date he was first provisionally suspended for the infraction.

If and when “Vai Cavalo” does return to the UFC, he will be 43 years old at that time, seriously putting his career in jeopardy.
