The “I Love Jake Paul” tattoo that Tyron Woodley got branded on him was not the rematch-sealing gesture Woodley had hoped it would be.

Prior to the Jake Paul versus Tyron Woodley boxing match on August 29, the tattoo stipulation was clear: the loser gets tattooed with “I Love <Insert Winner’s Name>.” Immediately after the fight ended, the stipulation was amended: Should Woodley get this tattoo, it would secure him the rematch that he demanded in the ring when Paul was announced the winner.

After Paul stated that the tattoo window had elapsed, Woodley got and displayed his brand-new tattoo anyway.

Before Woodley got the tattoo and one day after their fight, Paul took to Twitter to lay out the following guidelines to ensure all the expectations for the tattoo were aboveboard:

1. 3×2 inches at least

2. Can’t get it covered

3. Permanent

4. Must post on social media

5. Has to be visible with shorts and shirt on

In a recent interview with TalkSport.com, Paul pointed out a loophole that he believes Woodley is trying to create, and it’s one that isn’t associated with the above guidelines.

“Let’s see what happens,” Paul said of a rematch against Woodley. “He was like three or four weeks late on the tattoo, he let the hype die down,” the 24-year-old explained. “I think he had a call with his accountants and he saw how much taxes he had to pay and he was like ‘oh, man, I need to get this tattoo right now.’

“The weird thing about it, and I’m saying this on record right now, is the tattoo is on his middle finger and it’s done in a way where he can change it to say ‘f*** Jake Paul’. He did it so the I looks like an F or could be changed to that, so I think personally he’s going to change it to say f*** Jake Paul on his middle finger.

“It goes perfectly with that, so I’m calling it out right now. He’s trying to find loopholes and be slick but he’s not as smart as he thinks he is,” Paul said.

This response to Woodley’s tattoo goes into much more depth than Paul’s previous, trollish one from last week. Nevertheless, it still falls shy of confirming that a rematch between the two will take place. You can therefore chalk this up to being the second consecutive response from Paul that Woodley won’t want to hear and one that may make “The Chosen One” choose to modify his “I Love Jake Paul” tattoo to the explicit remix that Paul suspects is already coming.

Do you agree with Jake Paul? Is Tyron Woodley trying to be slick with his interpretation of the “I Love Jake Paul” tattoo?

Recently, former UFC welterweights Tyron Woodley and Dan Hardy had a heated exchange on social media, and it now appears that their spat continued into the DMs.

Dan Hardy has been among the most critical of Tyron Woodley’s performance against Jake Paul in their August 29th boxing match. To be specific, Hardy thought Woodley looked like a “sack of shit” in the fight. Hardy’s roasting of “The Chosen One” only picked up after Woodley followed through on the “I Love Jake Paul” tattoo bet, which is what ignited their heated social media exchange this week.

Now, Hardy has released the alleged DMs between himself and Woodley that immediately followed their public bickering. Below you can find a screenshot of the exchange courtesy of Submission Radio, accompanied by the transcript.

Woodley: “Keep my name out your mouth. You stay smiling in my face and the quickest to talk shit behind cameras and keyboards.”

Hardy: “Mate, I’d talk shit to your face. You talk a big game and then shit the bed. You stood and stared at the kid for eight rounds and then call for an immediate rematch. Laughable.”

Woodley: “You never tasted gold. You are a mosquito. I’m glad your post got you a little taste of greatness. When was your last fight? Don’t worry. No one cares.”

Hardy: “When was the last time you showed up to fight?”

Woodley: “Key words….when I step in there. You washed. I’ll mail you a dryer for Christmas. Be well, mate. You been trying to tell me how to behave at the top for ages. I’ll add a (signed) t-shirt, too.”

Hardy: “You’re jokes, mate. Good luck with the rematch. Try hit him this time.”

There currently is no update on whether Jake Paul will rematch Woodley or not. Hardy himself has expressed an interest in returning to completion by fighting Woodley, and the mutuality of that interest may be growing every time the two legends interact.

Who do you think “won” this alleged war of words between Tyron Woodley and Dan Hardy?

Jake Paul doesn’t appear to be very impressed by Tyron Woodley‘s “I love Jake Paul” tattoo that he recently got earlier this week after days and weeks of anticipation.

Paul and Woodley came to a loosely-made agreement on a rematch if Woodley would get the tattoo, which he shared on his social media and got it on his middle finger. Woodley has been calling for a rematch with Paul ever since their boxing match last month.

Despite Woodley getting the tattoo and posting it on his Instagram, as promised, Paul didn’t seem to think much of it as he posted an immediate reaction on his YouTube channel.

“No way did a grown-ass man just get a tattoo that says ‘I love Jake Paul’,” Paul said in a recent video. “This is my official response to Tyron Woodley getting the tattoo,” he then pulled a small post-it note out of his mouth that read “I love you too”.

Paul has turned his attention towards Tommy Fury in recent weeks for his next boxing match, although contract negotiations have appeared to stall after Fury allegedly turned down a $1 million fight contract. Now, Woodley has continued to push for an immediate rematch after his split-decision loss to Paul last month.

The tattoo idea surfaced after the two of them made a bet leading up to their fight, with the loser of the bout agreeing to get an “I love” tattoo followed up by the winner’s name. Woodley appeared to have come close to earning a stoppage win after stunning Paul in the fourth round and nearly knocking him off his feet on the ropes.

Woodley was easily Paul’s biggest challenge in the boxing ring, after knockouts over former NBA star Nate Robinson and former UFC welterweight contender Ben Askren. Time will tell as to whether or not we’ll ever see Paul and Woodley square off once again in the ring.

Jake Paul has a special message for former UFC champion Tyron Woodley.

Yesterday, Tyron Woodley got the “I Love Jake Paul” tattoo that was required of him after losing to Paul on August 29. The tattoo was a requirement based on the handshake agreement made prior to the fight and also if Woodley wanted to have any chance at rematching the YouTuber.

With the tattoo now complete and posted on social media for the world to see, Paul took to his YouTube channel to offer a public declaration of his own that corresponds with the viral tattoo.

“No way did a grown-ass man just get a tattoo that says, ‘I love Jake Paul!’ Paul said in feigned disbelief. The former Disney actor then dramatically spit out a paper ball that was hiding in his mouth, unfurled it, and then displayed the sentimental message for the world to behold that read, “I love you too.”

Paul would then close with a final request to “The Chosen One.”

“Can I grab those cheeks now, Papi?” Paul asked.

This is in reference to Paul incessantly complimenting Woodley’s buttocks in a face-to-face interview conducted days prior to their fight. Paul even warned Woodley that he might decide to grab Woodley’s cheeks in the clinch if his opponent was not mindful when in close proximity to The Problem Child.

Suffice it to say, this response does not lock in a rematch between the two athletes, but we will certainly keep you posted if Paul issues a follow-up response or if there is other movement towards a Paul/Woodley II engagement.

What, if anything, do you take away from Jake Paul’s response to Tyron Woodley?

After Dan Hardy continued to roast Tyron Woodley in connection to Woodley’s linkage to Jake Paul, Woodley’s return-fire led to a fierce exchange.

Following Tyron Woodley’s loss to Jake Paul in an August 29 boxing match, one of the people to offer their take on the fight was UFC legend and MMA analyst Dan Hardy. In fact, Hardy’s take was among the most memorable, strictly due to how harsh his take was on Woodley’s performance. Here’s a snippet of what “The Outlaw” had to say about it.

“I’d fight Tyron Woodley if he fancied it as well. He looked like a sack of shit the other week. That was very embarrassing.”

Now, after Woodley has followed through on getting the “I Love Jake Paul” tattoo, Hardy was back at it again with more relentless shots at his former UFC colleague.

“Anyone who has a tattoo knows that’s not a tattoo. What a dork,” Hardy wrote.

There was later a video posted of Woodley getting the tattoo so as to put all doubts to rest regarding the authenticity of the tattoo. Rather than respond by referring Hardy to this video, Woodley decided to instead reply with the same venomous energy presented by the Englishman.

“Keep my name out your mouth. Name aint dick. I told you once. you haven’t fought in a century. you are a spectator and fan now. just watch buy event t-shirts.”

“you can’t get cleared to thumb wrestle,” Woodley added, in reference to Hardy’s documented health issues that led to his early MMA retirement.

After Hardy elaborated on why Woodley’s tattoo was “embarrassing,” Woodley would then retort that the Brit’s entire career was an embarrassment. Woodley also went on to provide a screenshot that showed he is currently trending, with the implication being that Hardy, in contrast, is irrelevant.

“your ufc career is embarrassing. You claim to fame is you got stomped by GSP and didn’t die. everything was by design. i’ll keep setting trends while you tweet.”

Dan Hardy would then offer the following response to “The Chosen One.”

“You’re trending because you’ve got @jakepaul tattooed on your finger. Well done. Congratulations on your championship success. I remember the crowds booing in appreciation as you wore your heel out against the fence, backing up and avoiding the fight,” Hardy wrote.

As of this writing, the last word went to Woodley, who closed with this:

“Belt and titles. Things you dreamed of. They cheered as you were carried out on a stretcher. Champs now were in diapers last time you fought. Keep living your dream on the bag in your garage. From Outlaw to Uber Black driver.”

Going back to Hardy’s initial comments about liking the idea of potentially returning in a bout against Woodley, if that fight were to somehow materialize, it already has a proper buildup just from one day’s worth of tweets.

What are your thoughts on this intense social media exchange between Dan Hardy and Tyron Woodley?

On Monday, former UFC 170lb king Tyron Woodley revealed a new finger tattoo, inscribed with the words “I Love Jake Paul” – coupled with the tagline:

“I love you son. Now come and get this ass whippin cause i heard you been talking back to your elders. @jakepaul #ManOfMyWord

WHERE YOU AT!?”

Prior to the 39-year-old Woodley’s split decision loss to loudmouthed Youtube sensation Jake ‘The Problem Child’ Paul, the two pledged a pre-fight wager with the loser of the bout required to get a tattoo of the victor’s name on their body. After some initial resistance from ‘The Chosen One’ Woodley, it now appears he has conceded to make good on his pre-fight promise.

Always with his finger of the Twitter trigger, Cleveland’s Paul was quick to respond to the 5’7” Woodley’s stunt:

“1) Tyron got the wire from the fight. 2) Tyron bought a used Bentley. 3) Tyron got on a call with his accountant. 4) His accountant told him how much money he had to pay in taxes. 5) Tyron got the tattoo.”

While the tattoo was pre-agreed upon, Paul appears to indicate that Woodley only got his new body art as a ploy to angle for a future rematch. Whether or not the fresh ink will be Woodley’s golden ticket to another lucrative showdown is yet to be seen. Woodley is yet to comment on Paul’s retort.

Will Tyron Woodley’s new ink get him a rematch? Or does Jake Paul have bigger things on his horizon?
