UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic is more intrigued by the prospect of facing Tyson Fury than a trilogy fight with Daniel Cormier.

Fury — the lineal boxing heavyweight champion — has signaled his intent of making a mixed martial arts (MMA) debut and even called Miocic out. To make matters even more interesting, recent footage was released of Fury sparring in MMA with Darren Till.

Miocic, meanwhile, is set to face Cormier in a trilogy fight. But while he’s not sure if Fury is serious about facing him in MMA, he would love to welcome him. Even better, he would love to box him too:

“Maybe, maybe not. I don’t know,” Miocic said on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show on Monday when asked if he though Fury was serious. “Good for him. But if he wants to step in the Octagon, I’d love it. I’ll step in the ring. I would love to box him. I would love to box him. He’s a great fighter. He’s a good dude, I think we’d put on a good show.”

Miocic even says he’d be more intrigued by the prospect of facing Fury than Cormier simply because he believes his win over him at UFC 241 was decisive:

“100 percent,” he added when asked if he would be more excited by fighting Fury. “I mean with DC, I didn’t fluke knock him out. I beat him. I decisively beat him. First fight… he caught me with a punch. But second fight, I won.”

There is no update on when a Miocic vs. Cormier trilogy will happen but it’s in the works according to UFC president Dana White.

What do you make of Miocic’s comments?

Francis Ngannou wants to compete against Tyson Fury regardless of the sport.

Fury recently outlined his plans of making his mixed martial arts (MMA) debut in the future. He even proceeded to call out Stipe Miocic and Ngannou. “The Predator” would respond by challenging Fury to a boxing match instead.

But to make things even more interesting, Fury was recently seen training in MMA with UFC middleweight Darren Till. So what did Ngannou make of the footage?

“He’s good,” Ngannou said of the training footage on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show on Monday. “He’s good with his elbow. Obviously, he’s a great boxer. Even the way he moves in there is perfect. There’s nothing to say about it.”

It certainly seems like Fury is serious about competing in MMA at some point in the future. But as of now, Ngannou has no preference on which sport he wants to face “The Gypsy King” in — he doesn’t even mind a fight in each sport:

“Both,” Ngannou added when asked which he would prefer. “I want to return the favor in the ring because I would like to fight him in the ring either way. If he comes to MMA or not, I would like to fight him sometime for sure [in boxing].

“That [fighting Fury in MMA and boxing] would be cool. At some point, I’m going to do boxing. That’s clear in my mind. 100 percent sure. Sooner or later, I don’t know yet. But it’s always been my dream and I feel like I need to fulfill this dream.”

Do you think we will see Fury vs. Ngannou at some point?

Boxing lineal heavyweight champion Tyson Fury seems to be serious about a potential career in mixed martial arts (MMA). Fury recently met up with top-ranked UFC middleweight Darren Till to get some training in.

Footage of Fury hitting pads; throwing knees, punches, and elbows with Till, recently made the rounds online. Even UFC president Dana White shared the clip on Twitter. This garnered a reaction from UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic.

Miocic posted the following in response to Fury’s training footage.

. @Tyson_Fury be careful what you wish for…”

Fury is currently one of the top heavyweights in the boxing world – along with other stars such as Deontay Wilder, Andy Ruiz Jr., and Anthony Joshua – and has a few fights to get out of the way before he’s ready to jump to MMA.

However, it’s for this very reason that Dana White doesn’t understand why “The Gypsy King” would even want to compete inside the Octagon. Speaking in a recent interview, White said he can’t understand why Fury would want to fight in MMA given all his success in the boxing world.

“Tyson Fury had a tough time in his last fight in a boxing match. Coming over to MMA is a whole ‘nother story,” White said. “… Listen, anything’s possible. If Tyson Fury wants to fight in MMA, I’ve got a ton of guys that would love to fight him.

“I just don’t know why. I can’t wrap my head around why. …He’s an incredible fighter. Promoted the right way, [he] could be a part of three or four of the biggest fights in heavyweight [boxing] history. Why come over here and get smashed when you could stay there? Tyson Fury, your time is now. You’re the man in boxing. You’re one of the top four guys in the world in boxing. Why even think of coming over here?”

What do you think about an eventual potential fight between Miocic and Fury?

Fury has been very vocal about wanting to challenge the UFC’s heavyweight division after he’s done boxing the top names in his own sport. However, when asked about this, UFC president Dana White said he simply doesn’t understand why Fury would want to come over to MMA when he’s doing so well for himself in boxing.

“Tyson Fury had a tough time in his last fight in a boxing match. Coming over to MMA is a whole ‘nother story,” White said. “… Listen, anything’s possible. If Tyson Fury wants to fight in MMA, I’ve got a ton of guys that would love to fight him.

It looks like Tyson Fury’s mixed martial arts (MMA) training will begin this weekend.

The boxing lineal heavyweight champion took to Twitter and revealed he’ll be training with UFC middleweight competitor, and former welterweight title challenger, Darren Till, over the weekend.

“Good news everybody, I’m going to go training with Darren Till this weekend, we’re going to smash it!” Fury said. “He’s going to get me started on my MMA career!”

Fury has been talking about a potential career in MMA for some time now. His talk has picked up so much steam that even former UFC heavyweight title challenger Francis Ngannou is interested in fighting Fury. Ex-NFL star-turned-UFC heavyweight Greg Hardy is also interested in fighting Hardy.

However, one skeptic regarding Fury’s MMA aspirations is UFC president Dana White. He simply can’t understand why Fury would want to venture into MMA given his current success inside the boxing ring.

“Tyson Fury had a tough time in his last fight in a boxing match. Coming over to MMA is a whole ‘nother story,” White said. “… Listen, anything’s possible. If Tyson Fury wants to fight in MMA, I’ve got a ton of guys that would love to fight him.

What do you think about Fury actually beginning his MMA training with Till this weekend?
