Benson Henderson and Frankie Edgar have already spent 25 minutes inside the cage together, so they have a good idea what type of opponent they will be facing when they square off in a rematch at UFC 150. However, both fighters are likely to make adjustments to give themselves the best chances of walking away with the lightweight title.

Saturday’s co-main event also includes a matchup between two lightweights who are very familiar with one another. Donald Cerrone and Melvin Guillard were longtime teammates at Jackson’s MMA, so they know what is going to be thrown at them at UFC 150. It would not be surprising, though, to see one of these fighters switch up their usual fight approach in an effort to throw their opponent off.

Heading into August’s biggest MMA event, let’s take a look at what Henderson, Edgar, Cerrone, Guillard and each of the UFC 150 fighters must do to secure victory.

The UFC hits Denver on Saturday night for UFC 150. Headlining the fight card will be a title bout in the UFC’s lightweight division, as champion Benson Henderson puts his title on the line against the man he defeated for the belt, Frankie Edgar.

Henderson wrested the title from Edgar at UFC 144, earning a unanimous decision victory. The fight was also declared “Fight of the Night,” earning each fighter a tidy $65,000 bonus.

Saturday’s co-main event will also feature a pair of lightweights, as former training partners Donald Cerrone and Melvin Guillard square off.  If you think the friendship between the two fighters is going to cause them to hold back, you can think again: both fighters have made it clear that they will be looking to end this fight early.

UFC 150 will feature eight other bouts, including Jake Shields’ return to the middleweight division as he faces off against Ed Herman.

Though he’s one of the division’s greatest champions, Frankie Edgar continues to field questions about leaving the lightweight division to compete at 145 pounds. At UFC 150, Edgar will have a chance to silence those questions for the time being by regaining his title from lightweight champion Benson Henderson.

Henderson dethroned Edgar from the top of the 155-pound division in February, but a close decision left the UFC with no choice but to give Edgar an immediate rematch for the belt. After all, Edgar had been forced to grant immediate rematches to both B.J. Penn and Gray Maynard during his time as lightweight titleholder.

Also, lightweights Donald Cerrone and Melvin Guillard will meet in the co-main event of UFC 150. At one point in time, Cerrone and Guillard trained together at Jackson’s MMA, but Guillard recently left that camp to train with the Blackzilians in Florida. With an impressive victory at UFC 150, either fighter could put themselves back in the running for a title shot.

Before Saturday’s event, which will take place at the Pepsi Center in Denver, the fighters will hit the scales on Friday at 6 p.m. ET. Video of the weigh-ins will be streamed live on the above video player.

After the weigh-ins, stay tuned to Bleacher Report for all the latest on UFC 150 and the rest of your MMA needs.
