A bantamweight bout between Brian Kelleher and Cody Stamann is the latest addition to the upcoming UFC 250 pay-per-view event on June 6.

The matchup was confirmed to MMA Junkie following an initial report from BJPenn.com. An official announcement should be expected soon.

Kelleher is coming off an impressive knockout win over Hunter Azure at UFC Jacksonville earlier this month and will have a short layoff as he looks to build further momentum. He is currently on a two-fight winning streak and has also won four of his last six outings overall with the UFC.

Stamann, meanwhile, is coming off a controversial majority decision draw with Song Yadong which some observers felt he should have won. In total, the No. 12-ranked bantamweight contender is 4-1-1 with the UFC since signing with them in 2017.

UFC 250 takes place June 6 and is expected to be held at the UFC Apex facility in Las Vegas pending the Nevada State Athletic Commission’s meeting tomorrow discussing the return of professional sports. Magny

A welterweight clash between divisional veteran Neil Magny and Anthony Rocco Martin is set to take place at UFC 250 on June 6.

That’s according to MMA Junkie citing multiple people close to the situation. The fight is not announced as of yet but official confirmation should come soon with the event just over two weeks away.

Magny, Martin Looking To Make It Two Wins In A Row

Magny returned to action for the first time since November 2018 at UFC 248 in March when he defeated Li Jingliang in impressive fashion in a unanimous decision victory. In total, he has won three of his last four fights and will look to remain active after enduring problems with the United States Anti-Doping Agency that kept him on the sidelines.

As for Martin, he will look to kickstart another winning run. The 30-year-old saw a four-fight winning streak come to an end in a majority decision loss to Demian Maia last year. He rebounded with a unanimous decision verdict against Ramazan Emeev at UFC Moscow in November.

He was initially expected to face David Zawada in April, but that was scrapped due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Instead, he will now get a formerly ranked welterweight in Magny.

UFC 250 will be headlined by a women’s featherweight title fight between Amanda Nunes and Felicia Spencer. Although there is no confirmation, it is expected to take place at the UFC Apex facility in Las Vegas.

Sterling, Cory Sandhagen

A pivotal bantamweight encounter between Aljamain Sterling and Cory Sandhagen appears to be in the works for UFC 250 on June 6.

Sterling recently claimed he was confident in his chances of fighting for the bantamweight title next assuming Henry Cejudo was serious about his retirement. Either it appears Cejudo isn’t or Sterling has decided to face Sandhagen in the meantime as as multiple sources have confirmed the fight to MMA Fighting.

Sterling also posted a photo on Twitter stating that he’s signed a contract for UFC 250.

“Funk Bandits, it’s official! My contract is signed! Quarantine beard and mustache are in prime form! Let’s get FUNKY!”

Sterling was originally set to face Sandhagen at UFC San Diego this month anyway until the COVID-19 pandemic suspended the event.

“Funkmaster” is currently on a four-fight winning streak with his most recent victory coming over Pedro Munhoz.

Sandhagen, meanwhile, is undefeated in the UFC with a 5-0 record that includes notable victories over John Lineker and Raphael Assuncao. The winner of the fight could stake a claim at the bantamweight title next.

UFC 250 is slated to take place at the Apex facility in Las Vegas. It will be headlined by a women’s featherweight title fight between Amanda Nunes and Felicia Spencer.
