Drew Dober finished Rafael Alves in an exciting affair at UFC 277.
Coming off a first-round finish of Terrance McKinney in his last outing, Dober faced Alves in a preliminary lightweight bout at UFC 277 on July 30 at American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.
In a thrilling display of quick striking mixed in with some grappling early in the fight, the two put on a great show for the fans. Dober eventually landed a massive shot to the body that sent Alves crashing down to the canvas.
Dober won the fight by knockout in round 3, 1:30.

Michael Morales continued his undefeated run in the featured preliminary bout of UFC 277.
Morales was initially scheduled to face off against Ramiz Brahimaj at UFC 277. However, after Brahimaj was forced to drop out, Adam Fugitt stepped in. Morales was a massive favorite, with some bookmakers having him as high as -700. However, the fight was much closer than these odds implied.
Fugitt was as game as they come, implementing his wrestling in round one, whilst going strike for strike with Morales in round two. However, the power of Morales would eventually shine through, as he landed a clean strike in the third round, sending Figitt crashing to the canvas. Whilst he may not have been fully out, the referee likely saved him from any unnecessary damage. This win improved Morales’ record to 14-0, with the future looking bright for the 23-year-old.

Nicolae Negumereanu put on a brutal display of violence in the early prelims of UFC 277. The Romanian immediately put his name in the hat of a potential post-fight bonus with a clinically savage TKO victory.
Negumereanu faced off against Ihor Potieria in the second fight of the night. In the first round, ‘Nick’ utilized a heavy wrestling gameplan, that appeared to sap the cardio of Potieria. Negumereanu could be seen mocking Potieria at the start of round two, holding his mouth comically open as if gasping for air.
Round two played out almost entirely in the stand-up realms. Potieria showed moments of skill, but his cardio had clearly deserted him. Negumereanu began landing a series of brutal knee strikes from the clinch that backed the Ukrainian up against the cage. From here, Negumereanu began letting both hands and knees fly, knocking Potieria’s mouthpiece flying. He continued to land after this, eventually forcing the referee to step in.
