The flyweight ranks have a new contender. Former UFC strawweight best, Jéssica ‘Bate Estaca’ Andrade snaps a two-fight skid at her own 125-pound home, with a vicious body-shot combination to lay waste to one-time title challenger, Katlyn ‘Blonde Fighter’ Chookagian in the closing stages of the first round. Utilising her frame at flyweight, Andrade scored […]
Utilising her frame at flyweight, Andrade scored a couple of early takedowns, using the fence to dominant Chookagian in the clinch. Scoring barrage after barrage from the clinch at the Octagon fence, a particularly heavy right hook to the body grabbed Chookagian’s attention – with the Quakerstown native immediately turning her back.
Following up with a flying knee to the mid-section, Andrade swarmed to force Chookagian to the canvas, forcing the referee to wave off the tie with five-seconds remaining in the opening frame. Speaking with UFC colour-commentator, Daniel Cormier – Andrade explained how her team had called for body shots, believing Chookagian had endured a tough weight cut.
Catch highlights from Andrade’s swift first-round win over Chookagian, below.

The 24-year-old division prospect got the Lithuanian born striker’s attention in the opening couple of exchanges, clipping the recent July feature to counter leg kicks. Now sitting at 12-1 as a professional, the Dana White‘s Contender Series product can now add Bukauskas to a winning résumé which includes other Octagon victories over Michal Oleksiejczuk, veteran, Sam Alvey, and Scottish submission threat, Paul ‘The Bearjew’ Craig.
Catching Bukauskas off another counter just over the two-minute mark, Crute fired off a massive overhand right, dropping the former Cage Warriors gold holder, before following up with another knockdown, forcing the issue. Following the win, Crute called for a pairing with former Fight Nights Global 205-pound best, Nikita Krylov next.

One-time UFC featherweight title challengers, Brain ‘T-City’ Ortega, and ‘The Korean Zombie’ Chan Sung Jung look to finally settle their differences, and subsequently earn a crack at Alexander ‘The Great’ Volkanovski’s throne.
Originally scheduled to headline UFC Fight Night Busan in December of last year – Ortega was forced to withdraw after he suffered a knee injury. In his place stepped former lightweight champion, Frankie ‘The Answer’ Edgar – with Jung scoring a quickfire opening-round knockout win.
Limited to just one Octagon appearance since UFC 231 in December of 2018 – Ortega dropped his first professional defeat in a one-sided fourth-round doctor’s stoppage defeat to former featherweight kingpin, Max ‘Blessed’ Holloway.
In a reworked co-main event, one-time flyweight title challenger, Katlyn ‘Blonde Fighter’ Chookagian welcomes former strawweight titleholder, Jéssica ‘Bate Estaca’ Andrade to the 125-pounds ranks in a high-stakes pairing.
Returning to winning ways at UFC Vegas in September, Chookagian managed a one-sided unanimous decision win over Antonina ‘La Pantera’ Shevchenko – following a title challenger loss to her younger sister, Valentina ‘Bullet’ Shevchenko.
Testing the flyweight ranks for the first time in her promotional stint, Brazilian powerhouse, Andrade has dropped two on the trot; a strawweight title defence defeat to Zhang Weili, and a rematch loss to fellow former champion, Rose Namajunas at UFC 251 also on ‘Fight Island’ in July.

In the main event two ranked light-heavyweights will do battle as former title challenger Anthony Smith attempts to get back in the win column by defeating Aleksandar Rakic. Smith recently fought in the main event bout against Glover Teixeira that saw him finished late in the fight. Rakic is also coming off a loss back in 2019 when he was edged out in a decision against Volkan Oezdemir. With a win one of these fighters will be able to position themselves closer to the currently vacant light-heavyweight title. In the co-main event will see the return of former welterweight champion Robbie Lawler as a short-notice replacement to take on Neil Magny. After Geoff Neal was forced to pull from the fight due to illness, Lawler was booked as the replacement taking on ranked Magny who is currently coming off a two-fight winning streak.
