The UFC Nashville main-card continues as John Makdessi meets Jesus Pinedo in an exciting lightweight contest.

As always, LowkickMMA will have you covered with all the results from UFC on ESPN+ 6 as they happen.

Makdessi (16-6) has won two straight and three of his last four fights in the Octagon. He defeated Ross Pearson via decision in his last outing. As for Pinedo (16-4-1). The 22-year-old Peruvian fighter defeated Devin Powell in his promotional debut last November. Pinedo will make it eight straight with a win in Music City.

Round One

The fighters touch gloves. Makdessi throws a sidekick in an attempt to find his range. Pinedo is pumping his lead hand for the same reasons. Not much action thus far. Makdessi chops at Pinedo’s legs. The 22-year-old fires back a leg kick of his own. Makdessi closes the distance and both men exchange some punches. Pinedo throws a sidekick as he leaves the pocket. Two minutes left in the round. Makdessi throws a spinning high kick but the young fighter blocks it. The American goes to the body with a hard kick. Both fighters continue to faint as the crowd grows bored. Makdessi chases and lands a leg kick. The round ends.

Round Two

Makdessi takes the center of the Octagon and lands another leg kick. Pinedo slips and gets back to his feet quickly. Makdessi goes right back to the leg kick, Pinedo answers with a straight right hand. This time, Makdessi goes to the body with a hard kick. Pinedo throwing his lead and like a faint. Fairly useless thus far. Makdessi lands another sidekick. He goes to the head but Pinedo blocks it for the most part. They trade leg kicks and Pinedo goes to the head. Makdessi answers with one of his own. Pinedo lands a left hook, right-hand combo. Again, Makdessi lands a leg kick. 45 seconds left and thus far it has been a point fight. Pinedo throws a switch kick but misses the mark. Makdessi catches his kick. Pinedo lands a head kick. The round ends.

Round Three

Both fighters look to have more urgency to start the final round. Makdessi takes the lead and lands another low kick. Pinedo starts to limp. Makdessi goes straight back to the well that has been the leg kick. He switches it up and goes high but Pinedo blocks it. The 22-year-old moves forward and lands a nice one-two followed by a kick. Makdessi throws a spinning back kick but catches air. Pinedo clips Makdessi with a right hand. The crowd begins to boo again. Makdessi lands a nice one-two-one. He catches Pinedo’s kick but the young fighter escapes. A hard body kick by Makdessi. Pinedo starts to talk and lands a hard right hand. He lands a body kick. Makdessi flurries, the round ends.

Luis Pena and Steven Peterson will throw down in a featured featherweight bout on the UFC Nashville main card.

As always, LowkickMMA will have you covered with all the results from UFC on ESPN+ 6 as they happen.

Pena (5-1) is looking to rebound from his first loss as a professional fighter. He will do so in a new weight class. As Pena has opted to drop down to 145 pounds. (He missed weight 148.5) As for Peterson (17-7). The Contender Series alum has gone 1-1 in the UFC. “Ocho” will look to put his first winning streak together since July of 2016.

Round One

Peterson launches to the center with a superman punch. It misses the mark but he presses forward to clinch Pena against the cage for a takedown. Pena defends with a kimura and sweeps. Peterson transitions to an armbar and Pena slams him on the canvas. Pena ends up in Peterson’s guard and moves to half guard. Both men scramble for position and Peterson eats a right hand as he gets to his feet. He presses Peterson to the cage and lands a hard elbow. Pena lands a knee and another hard elbow. Peterson lands a right hand. Pena throws a flying knee that just misses Peterson’s dome. 30 seconds left in the round. Peterson forces the issue and gets Pena to the cage. The round ends with Pena cracking a hard right.

Round Two

Both men meet in the center and fire. Pena moves forward and lands a combo. Peterson closes the distance with three straight jabs and lands a takedown. He jumps on Pena’s back and gains a standing body triangle momentarily. Pena shakes him off and lands a hard right hook. They clinch and both men scramble for position as Peterson lands a quick takedown. Pena gets back to his feet. He trips Pena again and jumps on his back. Peterson is wearing on Pena here in round two. Pena breaks free with a flurry of punches. He lands a hard elbow followed by another flying knee attempt. Peterson throws a spinning back elbow. Both men throw kicks at the same time but Peterson moves in to clinch Pena against the cage. Pena reverses, both men unload as the round ends.

Round Three

Pterson moves forward with a purpose and meets Pena. Pena lands a right hand and backs off. he lands a lead uppercut and a head kick. Pena lands a forearm shiver. Peterson moves in for a takedown but Pena hits a switch. He works his way to the back of Peterson and lands a knee as he breaks. Peterson lands a heavy right hand followed by an inside kick. He presses Pena against the cage as Pena attacks a kimura. He settles in and looses the submission. Peterson ends up on top but Pena reveres like it was no big deal. Peterson looks for an armbar and transitions to a leg lock. Pena defends with punches to Peterson’s head. Both men get to their feet and Pena lands a head kick. Peterson is hurt as he looks for a takedown. 30 seconds left and Peterson is trying to hold on. Pena lands a flurry as the round ends.

The UFC Nashville main card will kick off when “The Future” Maycee Barber meets JJ Aldrich in a featured flyweight contest.

As always, LowkickMMA will have you covered with all the results from UFC on ESPN+ 6 as they happen.

Barber (6-0) will be fighting for the first time in her new weight class of 125 pounds on Saturday night. The 20-year-old phenom most recently defeated Hannah Cifers at UFC Denver last November. As for Aldrich (7-2). She has won five of her last six fights, with her most recent victory coming against Polyana Viana at UFC 227.

Round One

Aldrich quickly takes the center of the cage and presses the action. She lands a straight right hand that floors Barber. Barber gets back to her feet but looks shaky. Aldrich lands another left hand but Barber seems to have regained her wits. Barber finds her offense as she lands a hard leg kick. She throws another leg kick but eats a right hand from Aldrich. Barber continues to work the leg kicks but Aldrich is landing a counter punch for every leg kick. Both women flurry but neither landing anything significant. Aldrich lands another jab. Barber throws a head kick that misses. Barber misses a combo and eats a right from Aldrich that drops the 20-year-old. Barber gets back to her feet and eats an elbow. The round ends.

Round Two

The women meet in the center of the Octagon to start round two. Aldrich presses forward as Barber lands a body kick. She fires a left-hand cross that lands straight down the pipe. Barber throws a looping left and tries to get int he clinch. Aldrich avoids and continues to press forward and land. Barber lands a nice left hand, she follows it up with a hook. She begins to move forward but Aldrich pumps the jab to shut it down. Aldrich lands a couple of elbows that cause the fighters to break. Barber cracks Aldrich with a left hand. Aldrich is hurt. She stumbles back as Barber closes in for the kill. She backed up and unloads a combo that sends the referee in to stop the fight. Perhaps a bit early.

UFC Nashville preliminary card results are underway as the Las Vegas-based promotion holds this latest event on television for fight fans around the world to watch the show.

It’s once again fight day here at LowKickMMA, and the talent on display tonight (Saturday, March 23, 2019) will come from in the form of UFC Nashville. Headlining the card are Stephen Thompson and Anthony Pettis, but there’s a whole bunch of great fights also taking place on the preliminary section of the card.

Bryce Mitchell vs. Bobby Moffett in a featherweight bout closes the preliminary card on ESPN+ in what should be an interesting fight.

Frankie Saenz vs. Marlon Vera is next in a bantamweight bout.

Alexis Davis vs. Jennifer Maia is next in a women’s flyweight bout.

Angela Hill vs. Randa Markos is next in a women’s strawweight bout.

Chris Gutierrez vs. Ryan MacDonald is next in a bantamweight bout.

Opening the ESPN+ is Jordan Espinosa vs. Eric Shelton in a flyweight bout.
