UFC heavyweight Tai Tuivasa shares some Instagram DMs with Jon Jones and claims that Jones has blocked him.

Tai Tuivasa’s most recent win over former title challenger, Derrick Lewis, has now found him on a five-fight win streak and ranked No.3. The Australian is on the precipice of potentially challenging for the heavyweight title and could find himself across the cage from an array of big names.

One of which could be Jon Jones, the former light-heavyweight champion who has been preparing himself for the move up heavyweight over the past two years in hopes of achieving double champ status.

It seems as if Jones will be facing former champion, Stipe Miocic for the vacant title while current champion Francis Ngannou recovers from a knee injury.

Still, that wouldn’t stop Tuivasa from goading and engaging in some sort of confrontation over social media with Jones. ‘Bam Bam’ would post a screenshot to Instagram of a conversation between him and ‘Bones’.

“You sound off ya head,” Tai Tuivasa began. “I’d out party ya too I reckon. Just sayin but yeah Mary had a lil lamb too and I smoked her (smoke and laughing emojis) whatever whatever bra when you come back I’ll still be around you want a warm up lamb roast I’ll be waiting.”

“Good luck with your beer company,” Jones would reply.

“Cheers I’ll send you some” Tuivasa countered.

“I don’t need it, you keep it. Lol.  Stop writing.” Jones wrote.

“Sweet. You stop writing,” Tuivasa concluded.

Tuivasa would caption the post “B WEEEEZZZZZZZYYYYY #bones you know I love you man add me back uce you know he want dat @drinkwest.”

Tai Tuivasa recently started a beer company called ‘Drink West’ alongside fellow UFC fighter Tyson Pedro and rugby league player Nathan Clearly.

UFC bantamweight, Jessica-Rose Clark has claimed that Julija Stoliarenko held on to the armbar after Clark tapped. She also notes that she will now likely require surgery.

The first bout of UFC 276 saw Jessica-Rose Clark and Julija Stoliarenko square off in the early prelims in Las Vegas. Clark would find some success early on the feet, but Stoliarenko’s grappling was evidently superior, taking her down and quickly submitting Clark with an armbar.

The replay of the first-round finish would show a clear break or dislocation of Clark’s arm, with the Australian feeling her opponent had held on for the submission for too long.

“Well, that sucked. I just got back from the hospital,” Clark stated in an Instagram post. “I am probably going to need surgery on my elbow, she did a really good job of continuing to armbar me after I tapped, but that’s fine. It is what it is. I felt great.”

“I cried the entire time I was at the hospital, but I’m feeling all right. I’m understandably heartbroken, but I did everything right this camp. I’m going to have this surgery and heal up and then come back and be better – and that’s all I can do.”

Julija Stoliarenko Responds To Jessica-Rose Clark Injury

Last Saturday saw Stoliarenko earn her first UFC victory afte going 0-4 in the promotion and she did it using her signature armbar, a technique that has won her over half her fights.

During a post-fight press conference, Stoliarenko would react to the gruesome injury. “If I get a submission, I’m going to snap it until people stop it,” Stoliarenko said. “Of course, I don’t want to injure my opponents, but it’s up to them when to tap. If she’s not tapping, I’m going to do my work.”

Do you think that Stoliarenko held on to Jessica-Rose Clark’s arm for too long?

Dwight Grant Sean Strickland Sparring

Before his fight on July 16th at UFC on ABC 3, Dwight Grant stopped by to spend some time with LowKick MMA, where he talked about his first meeting and sparring session with Sean Strickland, who of course, had something wacky to say.

‘The Body Snatcher’ also talked about his upcoming fight against Dustin Stoltzfus, where he’ll look to end a two-fight skid and get back into the win column. Detailing his first meeting with Strickland, Dwight Grant also described that when they first met, he had no idea that the top-ranked middleweight was a UFC fighter.

Dwight Grant Describes Meeting and Sparring Sean Strickland

“The thing about it is,” Dwight Grant began. “I didn’t know that he was like a high-level guy in the UFC before I trained with him. I met up with this dude and we were going to spar, and he was like: ‘Just so you know, we’re going to give each other brain damage today,’ and I was like, ‘Ok, this sounds like fun.’ And he was like, ‘Are you cool with that?’ and I’m like, ‘Yeah man, let’s go.’”

“I like sparring… If you’re telling me ahead of time we’re gonna spar hard, I’m fine with everything,” Dwight Grant continued. “I don’t like when people are like ‘Hey man, let’s go light,’ and then all of a sudden the fight is crazy. It’s like, hey man, what you doing?”

“So, the fact that he just met me, didn’t know me, and was off the bat like: ‘Hey, this is gonna be crazy just so you know,’ was perfect. We had great sparring sessions… It was cool, I would definitely train with him again,” Grant concluded.

‘The Body Snatcher’ would go on to add that Sean Strickland may be a bit misunderstood, as well. “I think a lot of the other stuff people get into with him, is just based on how people react to him. They probably think about stuff ahead of time, and base that pre-judgment on how he’s gonna be. I didn’t have any because I didn’t know who he was at the time. I was like, ‘this guy’s been straight up and honest with me, so we’re gonna have a good training (session).’”
