The UFC Uruguay weigh-in results have been released as the fighters took the stage to get ready for battle inside of the Octagon under the promotion banner.
UFC Uruguay (also known as UFC on ESPN+ 14) is set to take place on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Antel Arena in Montevideo, Uruguay. The main card will air on ESPN + at 8 p.m. ET. The preliminary card will air ESPN + at 5 p.m. ET.
Valentina Shevchenko vs. Liz Carmouche in a women’s flyweight title bout will headline the show. In the co-headliner, Vicente Luque vs. Mike Perry in a welterweight bout will take place.
Rounding out the six bout main card is Humberto Bandenay vs. Luiz Garagorri in a featherweight bout, Ilir Latifi vs. Volkan Oezdemir in a light heavyweight bout, Oskar Piechota vs. Rodolfo Vieira in a middleweight bout, Enrique Barzola vs. Bobby Moffett in a featherweight bout.

This past weekend, UFC Newark took place from the Prudential Center in New Jersey. In the main event, Colby Covington picked up a dominant victory over former champion Robbie Lawler.
Now, Covington has solidified himself as the next challenger for Kamaru Usman’s championship. We have a UFC rankings update to pass along after the Newark event. Following Covington’s big win, he remains still at the No. 2-ranked position in the Las Vegas-based promotion’s 170-pound rankings.
As for who is a number one, former champion Tyron Woodley remains at the top spot. “T-Wood” does not have a fight booked as of this writing. Check below for the full UFC Fighter Rakings update.

Francis Ngannou strikes fear into the hearts of many within the UFC’s heavyweight division. However, former champion Fabricio Werdum believes he’d finish “The Predator” if they met inside the Octagon.
Speaking to Sherdog recently, Werdum revealed that he has visualized finishing the knockout artist, as he has done before several of his UFC victories. He pointed out he did the same thing before defeating Cain Velasquez. (via BJPenn.com)
“The big guy, Francis Ngannou. He is a huge guy, a very strong guy. But, I visualize the fight with him and I saw when I finish him. I do this a lot, I visualize all my fights,” Werdum said.
“When I fought Cain Velasquez, remember when I won the belt? I visualized everything. I would go to Mexico, stay there for two months. And become very focused. I like the fight against Francis Ngannou. A big challenge for me, I know he is strong, but I believe I finish him on the ground.”
A potential fight between Werdum and Ngannou will have to wait. The Brazilian is serving a United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) suspension that is up in May of 2020. As for Ngannou, he is on a three-fight win streak, all victories coming by way of knockout. Those victories came over the likes of Curtis Blaydes, Cain Velasquez, and Junior dos Santos.
“The Predator” does not have a fight lined up as of this writing, but it’s possible he gets the winner of Daniel Cormier vs. Stipe Miocic at UFC 241.
