Junior Dos Santos calls out title contender Francis Ngannou for his next fight under the UFC banner. This comes after the latest win in a string for the former UFC heavyweight champion.

JDS picked up a second-round win over Derrick Lewis by TKO in the headliner of UFC on ESPN + 4. This show went down on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Intrust Bank Arena in Wichita, Kansas.

Before this fight, the former UFC heavyweight champion scored a second-round TKO win over Tai Tuivasa in the UFC Adelaide headliner. This fight went down in December at Adelaide Entertainment Centre in Adelaide, South Australia on FOX Sports 1.

After the fight, he laid out the challenge to Ngannou as he thinks that fight makes sense and gets him one step closer to a title shot.

“I think that would be great,” Dos Santos said on the UFC on ESPN+ 4 post-fight show (H/T to MMAJunkie). “It should’ve happened in the past, but because of something weird it didn’t happen. Maybe now it can happen.”

“Right now I need a break,” Dos Santos said. “I need to stay active that’s the most important thing right now. Before my career comes my family. My daughter is born in May. I need to get ready to receive her. … I’ll fight again maybe at the end of August.”

Also, Niko Price pulled off an amazing comeback against Tim Means. After seemingly being out-done on the feet for the majority of the first round, Price uncorked a hellacious hook that planted Means to the canvas. After some follow-up shots, the referee waved the action off with just 10 seconds to spare. Price’s knockout win will also earn him a $50,000 Performance Of The Night bonus.

Finally, in the main event of the night, UFC heavyweights Junior dos Santos and Derrick Lewis put on a great slugfest. Both men landed some vicious shots, but “JDS” landed the final sequence in the second round to pick up his third-straight victory. For their efforts, both men will receive a Fight Of The Night bonus worth $50,000 each.
