The next two UFC cards have underdone some intensive re-modeling and that continued here Tuesday.

First, UFC on FOX 21 will now include the debut of Alex Ricci, as he steps in for Josh Emmett to meet Jeremy Kennedy. That card goes down Saturday night from Vancouver and includes Carlos Condit vs. Demian Maia in the main event.

Next Saturday afternoon on UFC Fight Pass will be UFC Fight Night 93 and that card now boasts former Cage Warriors champion Alex Enlund going up against Martin Buschkamp.

UFC Fight Night 93 features a heavyweight main event from Hamburg, Germany with Josh Barnett battling Andrei Arlovski.

Ricci (10-3) replaces Emmett on short notice to battle fellow UFC newcomer Kennedy (8-0) in an early prelim contest.

Enlund (14-2) and Buschkamp (9-0) will compete in the featherweight division. Of Enlund’s 14 wins, 11 have been submissions, while Buschkamp has finished seven of his nine opponents.

Demian Maia put his Brazilian jiu-jitsu skills on full display back at UFC 153, submitting Rick Story in the first round.

Maia returns to the Octagon this Saturday night in a key welterweight contest against former interim UFC champion Carlos Condit in the main event of UFC on FOX 21.

The 38-year-old Maia has won five consecutive fights, including a pair of submissions vs. Matt Brown and Neil Magny. Overall, he is 23-6 in his career and has finished 14 opponents total.

The UFC announced late Monday night that a planned prelim bout between Ning Guangyou and Marlon Vera has been scratched from Saturday’s UFC on FOX 21 lineup.

Due to issues with the timing of Ning Guangyou receiving his visa, Guangyou’s bout with Marlon Vera will not take place this Saturday in Vancouver.

The bantamweight bout was expected to be part of the early UFC Fight Pass prelims from Vancouver. The card features Demian Maia vs. Carlos Condit and Anthony Pettis vs. Charles Oliveira.

The headliner will feature a crucial welterweight main event between No. 4 Demian Maia and No. 5 former interim champ Carlos Condit. The winner of the bout will find themselves in prime position for a title shot, although it may be a title shot they find hard to secure with rumors of Georges St. Pierre’s return and Nick Diaz expected comeback from suspension.
