As always, the latest action on offer inside the Octagon has seen some climb the ladder toward contention and others fall away.

And in the aftermath of UFC 307, MMA News has you covered with this week’s updates to the official UFC rankings.

Men’s Pound-For-Pound: No changes.

Women’s Pound-for-Pound: Julianna Peña’s regaining of the bantamweight title this past weekend was only enough to move her above Manon Fiorot to #4 on the P4P list, keeping her below the other two female champions in the UFC and Alexa Grasso.

Women’s Strawweight: Tecia Pennington ensured that Carla Esparza’s career would end in defeat at UFC 307, falling on the right side of a split decision. As a result, “The Tiny Tornado” has returned to the rankings at #15, with Karolina Kowalkiewicz making way.

Another strawweight victor in Salt Lake City was Iasmin Lucindo, who has climbed a mammoth six positions to #8 following her win over Marina Rodriguez. The defeated Brazilian has slipped three spots to #9, allowing for small boosts for both Mackenzie Dern (#6) and Amanda Ribas (#7)

Women’s Flyweight: No changes.

Women’s Bantamweight: After losing the gold in her first defense, Raquel Pennington has slipped back to top contender status at 125 pounds. She’s one place above Kayla Harrison, whose victory over Ketlen Vieira has seen her become the #2-ranked bantamweight contender.

Flyweight: No changes.

Bantamweight: The backlash toward Mario Bautista for his victorious performance over José Aldo has not prevented a rise into the top 10. The 31-year-old now sits at #9, with his defeated opponent one place worse off than he entered UFC 307 in at #11.

Unrelated to the events of UFC 307, meanwhile, Marlon Vera (#6) has moved above former champion Henry Cejudo (#7).

Featherweight: No changes.

Lightweight: Weeks out from his featherweight title challenge — and months on from his lightweight triumph over Justin Gaethje — BMF titleholder Max Holloway has moved deeper into the top 10 at 155 pounds. “Blessed” has climbed two places to #8, leaving him above Mateusz Gamrot (#9) and Rafael Fiziev (#10).

Welterweight: At 170 pounds, Colby Covington has dropped further from title contention. “Chaos” is now out of the top five and occupies #6, having surrendered his position to Sean Brady.

Further down the pecking order, Joaquin Buckley is up two places to #9 following his late knockout of Stephen Thompson at UFC 307. “Wonderboy” is now down at #11.

Middleweight: He may not have had his hand raised in a desired manner, but Roman Dolidze is still on the up after UFC 307. The Georgian benefitted from a rib injury suffered by Kevin Holland during a grappling exchange and has been rewarded with a one-spot rise to #9, a position he shares with Paulo Costa.

As always, the latest action on offer inside the Octagon has seen some climb the ladder toward contention and others fall away.

And in the aftermath of UFC 305, MMA News has you covered with this week’s updates to the official UFC rankings.

Men’s Pound-For-Pound: Dricus Du Plessis closed out the latest pay-per-view by once again proving his doubters wrong, emerging from a competitive main event against the great Israel Adesanya with the middleweight gold still in his possession. The South African has been rewarded with a five-place rise up the P4P ladder, leaving him one position above his bantamweight counterpart Sean O’Malley at #6.

Adesanya, meanwhile, has fallen two spots to #15, with his and Du Plessis’ former opponent Sean Strickland going the same distance the other way to replace “The Last Stylebender” at #13.

Women’s Pound-for-Pound: There were moves unrelated to UFC 305 on the female P4P list, with reigning bantamweight queen Raquel Pennington suddenly dropping two places to #8, now leaving her below flyweight contenders Rose Namajunas (#6) and Erin Blanchfield (#7).

Women’s Strawweight: No changes.

Women’s Flyweight: At 125 pounds, Viviane Araújo has been pushed out of the top 10 to #11. Her two-spot slide has paved the way for Amanda Ribas and Karine Silva to rise to #9 and #10, respectively.

Women’s Bantamweight: No changes.

Flyweight: Kai Kara-France made an emphatic return this weekend by knocking out recent title challenger Steve Erceg inside the first round. He’s remained unmoved at #4, however. “AstroBoy,” meanwhile, has slipped to #8, swapping positions with Matheus Nicolau (#7).

Bantamweight: No changes.

Featherweight: No changes.

Lightweight: Among the biggest victors to emerge from UFC 305 was Dan Hooker, who is this week’s biggest mover in the rankings. After falling on the right side of a split decision against the highly regarded Mateusz Gamrot, “The Hangman” has climbed six spots to #5. “Gamer,” on the other hand, has fallen three positions to #8. Further down, Hooker’s rise has resulted in drops for Rafael Fiziev (#10) and Renato Moicano (#11).

Welterweight: No changes.

Middleweight: No changes.

Light Heavyweight: No changes.

Heavyweight: Jairzinho Rozenstruik made it back-to-back wins in 2024 this past weekend, outpointing home favorite Tai Tuivasa across three rounds. As a result, “Bigi Boy” has risen by two places to #10. His defeated opponent, meanwhile, finds himself three spots worse off at #13.

As always, the latest action on offer inside the Octagon has seen some climb the ladder toward contention and others fall away.

And in the aftermath of UFC 304, MMA News has you covered with this week’s updates to the official UFC rankings.

Men’s Pound-For-Pound: In addition to reaching the mountaintop at 170 pounds, Belal Muhammad’s title-winning triumph over Leon Edwards this past weekend has seen him join the P4P rankings. The newly crowned welterweight champion has debuted at #6, with his defeated opponent dropping three spots to #7. Muhammad’s arrival has resulted in the removal of former bantamweight champ Aljamain Sterling.

Also on a climb is the other man who left the Co-op Live with gold in his possession, Tom Aspinall. The interim heavyweight kingpin’s rapid knockout of Curtis Blaydes has seen him rise by two places to #9, jumping above Max Holloway (#10), Dricus Du Plessis (#11), and Alexandre Pantoja (#12).

Women’s Pound-for-Pound: No changes.

Women’s Strawweight: No changes.

Women’s Flyweight: No changes.

Women’s Bantamweight: No changes.

Flyweight: After some controversial antics and a lackluster victory at UFC 304, Muhammad Mokaev evidently didn’t do enough to convince the promotion he was worth re-signing. As a result of his departure, “The Punisher” has been quickly removed from the 125-pound rankings. That’s paved the way for Cody Durden to return at #15.

The man he beat at UFC 304, Manel Kape, has fallen by one position to #9, with both Steve Erceg (#7) and Matheus Nicolau (#8) receiving two-spot boosts to jump above “Starboy.”

Bantamweight: No changes.

Featherweight: Arnold Allen’s decision win over Giga Chikadze in the early hours of Sunday morning was enough to secure his return to the top five at 145 pounds. “Almighty” has moved up by one spot to share the #5 place with former opponent Movsar Evloev.

Lightweight: Paddy Pimblett was among the biggest winners to emerge from UFC 304, putting King Green to sleep with a triangle choke to record his first success over ranked opposition. As expected, the result has pushed “The Baddy” into contention, with the Liverpool native replacing Green at #15.

Welterweight: With Muhammad surging to the throne in Manchester, Edwards has slipped back to the #1 position as the leader in the chasing pack. That’s also left former champ Kamaru Usman one place worse off at #2.

Middleweight: No changes.

Light Heavyweight: No changes.

Heavyweight: After falling short in his first UFC title shot, Blaydes has been relegated to #5 in the heavyweight pecking order, with Sergei Pavlovich replacing him at #4 a month on from his defeat to Alexander Volkov in Saudi Arabia.
