Bobby Green hits out at Paul Felder he knows what time it is UFC commentary

Off the back of his official ‘No Contest’ against Jared Gordon at UFC Vegas 71 last weekend, lightweight veteran, Bobby Green has issued a warning to promotional color-commentator, and former contender, Paul Felder, taking umbrage with his emotional commentary of his former teammate’s knockdown at the hands of Green.

Green, a staple of the promotion’s lightweight division, featured on the main card of UFC Vegas 71 last weekend against New York native, Gordon, fighting to an eventual official ‘No Contest’ after an accidental headbutt saw the latter dropped, before he was finished on the ground with follow-up strikes.

Complaining in emotional fashion regarding the stoppage and ‘No Contest’ ruling amid the accidental clash of heads, Felder was heard on air assuring the broadcast team that he was calm, as former Roufusport teammate, Gordon made his way back to his feet.

Taking issue with Felder’s incensed response to the stoppage, Bobby Green claimed that himself and the Philadelphia native would speak about things when they meet face to face.

“We’re going to have some words when I see him,” Bobby Green said of Paul Felder during an appearance on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani. “I’m gonna wait until we see each other face to ace. When we see each other, he knows what time it is, too. It’s just like, bro, stop with all that emotional bullsh*t.”

Replying to Green’s comments, Felder, a former perennial contender at the lightweight limit, claimed he was awaiting their confrontation.

“Look forward to it, king,” Paul Felder tweeted

“I understand the criticism,” Paul Felder tweeted. “I got emotional. It was a friend. But it was also a pretty awful clash of heads that almost resulted in a TKO. I respect (Bobby) Green as a fighter. I do apologize for letting my emotions into play, but there is no need for threats. You don’t have to like me.”

Sergei Pavlovich willing to wait for UFC title shot with Jon Jones Stipe Miocic I'll eat

UFC heavyweight Sergei Pavlovich believes he has done enough to earn a title shot, and is willing to wait for his opportunity.

This past weekend at UFC Vegas 71, Pavlovich faced what was predicted as his toughest opponent thus far in his UFC career, but once again the Russian succeeded.

If there’s one thing Curtis Blades has achieved in recent years, it is the fact that he has out-wrestled almost every heavyweight presented his way, but yet again Pavlovich was able to make quick work of his opponent.

The 18-1 heavyweight made it a total of 15 career knockouts, finishing off Blades to make it a streak of 6 consecutive first round knockouts.

Following Jon Jones masterful return at UFC 285, the scene was set in stone for an opening title defence against Stipe Miocic, who Jones personally requested.

Although with Pavlovich tearing through the heavyweight division with shades of Francis Ngannou during his come-up, it is undeniable that the 30-year-old has one goal in mind in the shape of a belt.

Not only did Pavlovich make it look easy in the octagon, but he was seen as cool as a cucumber sitting alone playing slots in a Las Vegas casino just hours before his fight.

Sergei Pavlovich willing to wait for his shot at UFC gold

As Sergei Pavlovich quickly grows as a fan favourite, he said he is not in a rush to demand his title shot despite his goal of achieving it.

“I’ll rest, I’ll eat. I’ll sleep. I’ll rest some more. I’ll wait,” Sergei Pavlovich said following UFC Vegas 71.

Former heavyweight champion Miocic has not fought since his devastating knockout defeat to Ngannou, but he has a major task ahead of him against the heavily acclaimed MMA goat, Jones.

In his long awaited return, Jones handed Ciryl Gane the first loss by finish in his MMA career, and Dana White said the next heavyweight battle for gold will likely be held at Madison Square Garden.

Pavlovich may become increasingly confident in his abilities with yet another win in the column, but he does not downplay the achievements nor the capabilities of the two collosols fighting later this year.

“I wouldn’t say that either of them would be an easy fight,” Sergei Pavlovich said. “I mean, they’re both hard warriors, so I would have to prepare for whoever it is, then be ready for whoever they give me.”

However, upon review, the Nevada State Athletic Commission officials Octagon-side confirmed that the bout would be overturned to an official ‘No Contest’ – due to the clash of heads, with Green denied his first round KO win.

Bobby Green demands his fight pursue from the UFC

Speaking with media backstage following his walk to the Octagon – albeit, briefly, Green called for the UFC to pay him his fight pursue, accusing them of “sliding” him on his money.

“We’re going to let some feelings out today,” Bobby Green told assembled media following UFC Vegas 71. “F*ck this, f*ck this, and f*ck this. Like, I get it – we f*cking clashed heads. I was trying to go for an elbow, and he (Jared Gordon) kind of dipped his head and we kind of clashed, but he was still f*cking moving. He was trying to put me into a f*cking triangle. I fought the triangle sh*t off, and he was still moving fine, and then after – when I busted his ass – he was f*cked up.”

“They (the UFC) want to try to slide me on my money,” Bobby Green explained. “That’s what I’m mad about. I need my money, bro. I need my money.”
