Paddy Pimblett eyes fight with Renato Moicano next I would smoke you easily UFC

Promotional-perfect lightweight, Paddy Pimblett has played up the possibility of a fight with recent UFC Vegas 85 co-main event winner, Renato Moicano following the Brazilian’s win over the course of the weekend, claiming he would “smoke” the former if they share the Octagon.

Pimblett, who is yet to crack the official lightweight top-15 rankings, most recently featured on the main card of UFC 296 back in December, landing a one-sided unanimous decision win over former interim lightweight champion, Tony Ferguson.

The win came as former Cage Warriors featherweight champion, Pimblett’s fifth consecutively under the promotion’s banner, following prior wins over Luigi Vendramini, Kazula Vargas, Jordan Leavitt, and Jared Gordon.

As for Moicano, the Brazilian fan-favorite co-headlined UFC Vegas 85 over the course of the weekend, landing a bloody back-and-forth decision win over Drew Dober, following a prior rear-naked choke submission win over Brad Riddell in his most recent bout.

And suggesting a fight with perennial lightweight contender, Beneil Dariush at a return to home soil at UFC 301 in July in his native Brazil, Moicano also played matchmaker for foe, Dober, urging him to secure a fight with polarizing Liverpudlian, Pimblett.

Paddy Pimblett vows to easily beat Renato Moicano

Himself remaining non-committal on a fight with Dober, Pimblett instead suggested a showdown with Moicano himself – claiming he would “smoke” the grappling talent, and quite easily to boot.

“Why would I fight (Drew) Dober when I could smoke u much easier? @Renato_Moicano_UFC,” Paddy Pimblett posed on his official Instagram Stories.”

And sharing his thoughts on Pimblett’s claims, Moicano immediately offered to fight him at UFC 00 in April, welcoming the bout.

“Paddy is calling me out, I fight you any day of the week,” Renato Moicano posted on his official X account. “There’s your UFC 300 main event ladies and gentleman: Moicano vs. Paddy. I want to fight (Beneil) Dariush, but if Paddy wants the smoke… he can have it.”

Who wins in a future grudge fight: Paddy Pimblett or Renato Moicano?

Charles Radtke UFC Vegas 85 knockout

After a highlight-reel knockout over Gilbert Urbina at UFC Vegas 85, Charles Radtke let it be known that his time is precious, and he needs to get paid for it.

Now riding a six-fight win streak, Radtke came into his matchup with Urbina as the underdog. He made pretty quick work of his opponent and found home with a beautiful left hook toward the end of round one to finish his opponent. Radtke was hyped after such a turn of events and delivered a very fiery promo during his post-fight interview, and even took a jab at the infamous Colby Covington.

‘Chuck Buffalo’ wouldn’t stop there, though. During his post-fight press conference, Radtke took an aggressive stance toward media members and seemingly let some of his true colors show.

Charles Radtke Blasts Media at UFC Vegas 85: “How Much Money You Got?”

The tension with Charles Radtke almost started immediately, as he told reporters to “hurry up with these questions”, as he wanted to get some pizza. He received the next few questions pretty mildly but did start to genuinely sound a little irritated at his situation.

“…Give me that fifty thousand dollars,” He said emphatically, towards the tail-end of answering a question about his game plan leading into that fight. “I’m broke… I’m deserving of that fifty thousand dollars and I won’t stop talking about it until I get it.”

“With a knockout like that, you know people are going to be talking, wanting to see more of you,” the reporter went on to ask (H/T MMA Fighting). “How soon do we get you back in that cage? Is there anybody that you would want to match up with?”

“How much money you got?” Charles Radtke sneered. “That’s what it is. You guys get these interviews for free. I need to get paid. Let’s go!”

The reporter must have thought it would be a good time to end there and bid ‘Chuck Buffalo’ another congrats on the win. Radtke replied with a thank you, before asking: “Up next is?”

He waited a bit, and things grew a little uncomfortably silent. When it became apparent that nobody wanted to pay him to fulfill his work obligations, he sneered: “Good,” before getting up and walking away to presumably get the pizza he’d been wanting so badly.

Do you think Charles Radtke is wrong for wanting to be paid for interviews when the large majority of athletes do them for free?

Renato Moicano calls for a fight with Beneil Dariush at UFC 301 see you in Brazil

Off the back of his decision win over knockout artist, Drew Dober at UFC Vegas 85 overnight, Brazilian fan-favorite lightweight Renato Moicano has already called his shot for a return – in the form of a UFC 301 clash with perennial contender, Beniel Dariush in a Brazil homecoming in July.

Moicano, who entered last night’s UFC Vegas 85 co-main event fight with Dober as the number thirteenth ranked lightweight contender, turned in his second straight win in the form of a decision win over the former – following a rear-naked choke submission win against Brad Riddell at UFC 281 most recently.

And vowing to get his wife pregnant in celebration following last night’s win over Dober, Brazilian contender, Moicano revealed his 62-year-old father welcomed the birth of a child over the weekend, before announcing plans to join a SWAT force after retiring from mixed martial arts.

Renato Moicano calls for Beneil Dariush after UFC Vegas 85

Calling for his return to the Octagon following his hard-fought win over Dober last night, Moicano claimed he wanted to fight Iranian contender, Dariush in his return – eyeing a UFC 301 clash in his native Brazil.

“Beneil Dariush see you in Brazil…” Renato Moicano posted on his official X account. “If you support Merica… retweet this sh*t and tag @ufc modaf*kers.”

Sidelined since he headlined UFC Fight Night Austin back in December, Dariush suffered his second consecutive stoppage loss, in the form of a first round knockout defeat to surging contender, Arman Tsarukyan in ‘The Lone Star State’.

Over the course of his Octagon tenure, Moicano has landed wins over the likes of Jeremy Stephens, Calvin Kattar, Cub Swanson, Jai Herbert, and Alexander Hernandez to name a few.

Chris Curtis and Nassourdine Imavov

Middleweight standout Chris Curtis was left fuming after his teammate, Roman Dolidze, was on the wrong side of a series of illegal blows in his UFC Vegas 85 headliner with Nassourdine Imavov.

While the bout between Dolidze and Imavov was largely lackluster, things began to heat up in the fourth round when Imavov delivered a brutal head kick to Dolidze. The only problem was that Dolidze had his hand planted on the mat establishing him as a downed fighter.

Dolidze’s corner — which included Curtis — erupted in protest. Taking exception to their comments, Imavov nearly started a cageside brawl before referee Herb Deal pulled him back, threatening to disqualify him if the outburst continued.

Once the bickering stopped and Dolidze had some time to recover, the fight was restarted without issue. In the end, Nassourdine Imavov went on to win the bout via majority decision, but it’s safe to say the feud between Imavov and ‘The Action Man’ is far from over.

Shortly after the contest, Curtis took a dig at Imavov on X, noting all the infractions he claims to have witnessed during the heated main event.

Imavov Wants to Settle Things with Chris Curtis Behind Closed Doors

The rivalry between Chris Curtis and the ‘Russian Sniper’ goes back to their June 2023 clash at UFC 289. The bout was called off in the second round and declared a no-contest after an accidental clash of heads.

During his appearance at the post-fight press conference on Saturday, Imavov offered Curtis an opportunity to settle things with a “real sparring session” at Xtreme Couture. “I’m going to destroy him as I did in the cage,” Imavov added.

Conor McGregor congratulates Renato Moicano

Lightweight standout Renato Moicano scored yet another impressive victory in his return to the Octagon on Saturday night, but all anyone could talk about was his absolutely insane post-fight interview.

After locking down a unanimous decision win over Drew Dober, Moicano revealed to the world that his 62-year-old father just brought a new baby to the world 24 hours earlier.

“Hey [Daniel Cormier]…. I love you motherf*cker,” Moicano shouted. As Cormier tried to resume, Moicano quickly interjected, “…. My father is 62 years old, and he had a baby yesterday — So! Tomorrow when I get home I’m gonna get my wife pregnant another time! …. ‘Money Moicano’ three is coming.

“I wanna tell you another thing, I love f*cking America, you know?” Moicano said. “I’m not an American… but in two years I will be an American. And after I am done with fighting I will serve [as a] police officer. I want to be a SWAT team and I want to kill the bad guys” (h/t MMA Knockout).

Conor McGregor Congratulates Renato Moicano

Reacting to Moicano’s hilarious overshare, Irish megastar Conor McGregor took to social media to congratulate ‘Money’ on his new sibling. “Wow! He has a new little baby brother! That’s awesome! Fair play Moiciano Snr hahaha,” McGregor wrote on X.

That prompted Moicano to respond, showing respect to the former two-division titleholder. “Mcgregor im your fan… I used to hate you because the trash talk but you change the game I respect you,” Moicano replied.

In an interview with MMA Fighting ahead of his UFC Vegas 85 headliner with Dober, ‘Money’ Moicano offered his take on McGregor’s evolution from professional fighter to global icon.

“McGregor is full crazy nowadays,” Moicano said. “He’s making videos eating food and he looks drunk or on drugs or something, I don’t know. But I like McGregor, to be honest with you. I think he’s funny. I think he’s entertaining.”
