While it may have taken a couple of months, UFC star Ronda Rousey finally congratulated Holly Holm on her victory at UFC 193 in November.

A new promo released to hype tonight’s episode of Saturday Night Live, which features UFC’s Ronda Rousey as the host, has led to speculation regarding the relationship status of the former Women’s Bantamweight Champion.

As seen above, Rousey is featured in a new promo for this week’s edition of SNL, which shows the UFC star alongside musical guest Selena Gomez and SNL cast member Cecily Strong, wearing an interesting piece of jewelry.

While it should be taken strictly as a rumor until reported otherwise, there is speculation that the ring Rousey is seen wearing in the above video (see 0:13 mark) is an engagement ring from UFC Heavyweight contender Travis “Hapa” Browne.

The recent ESPN The Magazine feature on Rousey detailed the closeness of her relationship with the fellow UFC star. You can read Rousey and Browne talking about their relationship from the article in the aforementioned issue at ESPN.com.

While it will be a while before fans see her back in the Octagon again, you can watch Ronda Rousey debut her sketch-comedy chops this Saturday evening, as the former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion becomes the first UFC fighter in history to host Saturday Night Live.

On Wednesday, SNL released the above video promo for this Saturday’s episode, which features Rousey as the host of the legendary late night program, becoming only the third fighter in general, boxers included, to take to the famous Studio 8H stage.

Later this year, Rousey will team with former SNL Head Writer and star of 30 Rock, Tina Fey, in “Do Nothing Bitches,” a movie based off of Rousey’s infamous catchphrase for non-independent women that has been green-lit by Universal.

As far as her fighting career is concerned, Rousey recently told TMZ that rumors of her walking away from the sport are untrue, and that she still fully intends to compete for the UFC Women’s Bantamweight Championship in a rematch against Holly Holm at some point in the 2016 calendar year.

That is, of course, provided Holm gets past Miesha Tate in March.

Ronda Rousey lashed out at her endless supply of haters with a cryptic Instagram message today….

The world has seen very little of former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey since her shocking UFC 193 loss to new champion Holly Holm, but that’s all about to change very soon.

Despite being knocked off her perch as arguably the most devastating and dominant fighter in the UFC, ‘Rowdy’ has actually seemed to up her exposure in terms of the Hollywood spotlight, as she’s been signed to host January 23’s ‘Saturday Night Live’ and agreed to star in a movie titled with her her own catchphrase, ‘Do Nothing Bitches’ with star actress Tina Fey.

And while she won’t be rematching Holm at UFC 200 as originally hoped, Rousey did proclaim she does want to fight ‘The Preacher’s Daughter’ in 2016. Fans are forced to wait and see if that actually happens, but it looks like Rousey has addressed her many haters that have relished her downfall online.

Former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey spoke to TMZ this past weekend about the recent news regarding her asking the UFC for more time off, which led to the UFC signing current UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Holly Holm vs. Miesha Tate instead of waiting for Holm vs. Rousey II.

Rousey told TMZ that she plans to fight before the end of the year. As noted, she asked the UFC for additional time off, as Dana White announced that she would not be fighting at the landmark UFC 200 event in July as they had originally hoped.

“Some time later in the year,” Rousey told TMZ. “They haven’t told me an exact date or location or anything yet.”

Despite having time off from her “day job” as a professional MMA fighter for the UFC, Rousey has a busy schedule as she will be hosting Saturday Night Live this weekend and currently has two movies scheduled heading into the summer.

As noted this past weekend, Universal has purchased the rights to “Do Nothing Bitches,” with Rousey and Tina Fey attached for the movie based off of Rousey’s infamous catchphrase, which she made famous via an episode of UFC 190 Embedded.

Despite the loaded Hollywood schedule, Rousey insists she plans to not only continue fighting, but do so at some point before the calendar year is up.

“It’s a decision we’re all gonna make together, but I’m kind of waiting to hear from them what options they’re gonna give me,” Rousey said.

According to Rousey, she still fully intends to fight UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Holm in an immediate rematch for her next fight, as long as “The Preacher’s Daughter” can get past “Cupcake” Tate in the co-main event of UFC 197 in March.

“Of course,” said Rousey. “That’s what I want to do.”

During the UFC Fight Night 81: Dillashaw vs. Cruz event at the TD Garden in Boston, Mass. on Sunday evening, UFC announced the coaches for the next season of The Ultimate Fighter.

The 23rd season of the regular Ultimate Fighter series, not counting the various international TUF seasons, will be coached for the second time in history by women fighters, as UFC Women’s Strawweight Champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk and the number one contender in the division, Claudia Gadelha, will be the opposing coaches for the upcoming season, which will air on FOX Sports 1 (FS1).

Following the live announcement on FOX Sports 1 last night, UFC issued the following press release with all of the important information regarding plans for TUF 23.

UFC® CHAMPION JOANNA JEDRZEJCZYK AND TOP-CONTENDER CLAUDIA GADELHA COACH LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT AND STRAWWEIGHT HOPEFULS ON THE ULTIMATE FIGHTER®

New season debuts Wednesday, April 20 on FS1

The Ultimate Fighter® will put mixed martial arts’ global dominance on display again as UFC® strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk will coach opposite No. 1 contender Claudia Gadelha. The coaches will lead a group of eight light heavyweights and eight strawweights who will compete for a UFC contract and the title of The Ultimate Fighter.

The Ultimate Fighter®: Team Joanna vs. Team Claudia will kick-off on FS1 on Wednesday, April 20 with a two-hour season premiere airing at 10 p.m. ET as 32 competitors fight for one of 16 slots – eight in each weight class – available to be coached by two of the sport’s best. The season will continue with 11 one-hour shows Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET. The series is the highest rated and most watched original program since the network’s inception in August 2013.

Poland’s first UFC champion, Jedrzejczyk (11-0, fighting out of Olsztyn, Poland) stormed onto the scene in 2014 with her first Octagon® appearance. Since then, she’s gone on to win five straight, won the strawweight title, cemented her place on the top pound-for-pound list and is widely considered as one of the best strikers in the sport. She’ll now lend her expertise to the next generation of athletes who hope to follow in her footsteps and one day wear UFC gold themselves.

Gadelha (13-1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) trains at the renowned Nova Uniao gym, home to former champions Jose Aldo & Renan Barao. The Brazilian jiu-jitsu specialist hopes to get another crack at current strawweight champion, Jedrzejczyk, who provided Gadelha with the only blemish on her record – a three-round split decision loss in late 2014. Their contrasting styles should provide for an entertaining season between the two teams. The Brazilian’s comfort zone is on the canvas and will provide a stark contrast to the Pole’s highly skilled striking attack brings a completely different skillset to the show.

The series culminates on live on FS1 Friday, July 8 in Las Vegas as part of International Fight Week and will be headlined by Jedrzejczyk and Gadelha in a championship bout for the strawweight world title.
