MMA Fighting’s Ariel Helwani is reporting that former journeyman middleweight Jason “Mayhem” Miller has been arrested. Again.

Details remain sparse, with Helwani tweeting the following on Friday night:

Obviously, the charges and any information past the fact that he’s arrested are currently unknown.

This is the second time Miller has been arrested in the past two weeks. On August 11, he was arrested for what was eventually revealed to be domestic violence and is currently awaiting trial.

Mayhem has been on a downward spiral since being released by the UFC in May 2012 and has been a steady source of drama and controversy for MMA fans since. In August 2012, he encouraged UFC president Dana White to “kill himself.” He was arrested days later after being found naked in a vandalized church.

He followed that up with an awkward, violent appearance on popular MMA radio show “The MMA Hour” (hosted by Helwani), where he stormed off the set in a fit after getting in the host’s face. Miller made amends with Helwani and became relatively quiet outside of occasional jabs at Dana White.

These largely centered around a curious case of a knee injury suffered during Miller’s at-this-point final MMA fight against UFC vet CB Dolloway. Miller sustained an obvious knee injury during the fight, and claimed the UFC stalled his injury claim with their insurance policy to avoid paying for treatment. White proceeded to refute the claim, saying Miller never followed through on doctors’ requests for further examination.

Unfortunately, that streak was broken with these two arrests. We’ll give you more details on this latest run-in with the law as they become available.

Update:

Bloody Elbow is reporting Miller was arrested for domestic violence once again.
