Honestly now, did any serious MMA fan expect the verbal warfare between Jason “Mayhem” Miller and Chael Sonnen to only last one day?
Being owned by the the UFC’s premiere trash talker on Twitter yesterday didn’t stop Miller from firing back on Tuesday:
I love the MMA media’s obsession with Fael. After the Brazilian kicks his head in, I’m going to end his career.
— Jason Mayhem Miller (@mayhemmiller) April 10, 2012
While some fans are wondering where Sonnen’s Twitter retort is, readers will be interested to know that “The Gangster from Oregon’s” alter ego, Senor Chael, actually provoked Mayhem an hour prior:
I admit @mayhemmiller is a pretty good fighter… for an MTV host. He should be calling out someone in his league, like Carson Daly.

Looks like the (un)official score is Sonnen three, Mayhem nothing. That number is three instead of two since Sonnen defeated Mayhem in a professional bout way back in March of 2002.
Sonnen rematches UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva at UFC 147, while Mayhem takes on C.B. Dollaway at UFC 146.
Even with Sonnen losing in convincing fashion and Mayhem scoring an emphatic win in their respective upcoming fights, fans shouldn’t hold their breath for Sonnen-Mayhem II happening anytime soon given that the two fighters are on complete opposite ends of the middleweight spectrum.
