PFL lightweight sensation Kayla Harrison will look to extend her unbeaten streak while also continuing her quest to repeat as tournament champion when she collides with UFC and Bellator MMA veteran Cindy Dandois atop the PFL 6 event on June 25 in Atlantic City, NJ.

The main card will air on ESPN2 and ESPN Deportes.

Harrison (9-0) continued her division dominance with a first-round shellacking of Mariana Morais at PFL 3 back on May 6 in “The Garden State.” That’s the same event where Dandois (16-6) came up short on the judges’ scorecards against fellow veteran Kaitlin Young.

“Battlecat” is facing tournament elimination.

Also returning to action on June 25 are heavyweight hurters Fabricio Werdum and Renan Ferreira following last month’s questionable no contest. Werdum (24-9-1, 1 NC) collides with Brandon Sayles (6-1), fresh off his upset over Mohammed Usman, while Ferreira (6-2, 1 NC) takes on the undefeated Ali Isaev (9-0).

PFL 6 Main Card (ESPN2, ESPN Deportes):

155 lbs.: Kayla Harrison vs. Cindy Dandois
265 lbs.: Ali Isaev vs. Renan Ferreira
265 lbs.: Denis Goltsov vs. Mohammed Usman
265 lbs.: Fabricio Werdum vs. Brandon Sayles

PFL 6 Preliminary Card (ESPN+):

265 lbs.: Bruno Cappelozza vs Muhammed Dereese
155 lbs.: Larissa Pacheco vs. Olenda Kolesnyk
155 lbs.: Genah Fabian vs. Julija Pajic
265 lbs.: Ante Delija vs. Hatef Moeil
155 lbs.: Taylor Guardado vs. Laura Sanchez
155 lbs.: Kaitlin Young vs. Mariana Morais

“There were a lot of exciting knockouts that took place during PFL 3 for the heavyweight and women’s lightweight divisions and as the Regular Season concludes, all these fighters will be looking for an early stoppage to secure their spots in the playoffs,” said PFL President of Fighter Operations, Ray Sefo. “Many of our world class athletes can still qualify for the PFL playoffs but just about all of they are facing a win or go home scenario.”

Check out Showtime’s behind-the-scenes documentary on Floyd Mayweather and Logan Paul.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. returns to the ring this weekend. There he meets popular YouTuber Logan Paul, who has an 0-1 pro boxing record. The bout is billed as an ‘exhibition’, but who knows what that means. Paul insists he is there to fight and at Mayweather’s last exhibition he brutalized Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa.

The bout is a farce, but there are some elements from the freak-show days of old MMA that might intrigue you. Mayweather is infinitely more talented as a pugilist. But the neophyte Paul is younger and much much bigger. So Paul might have a puncher’s chance, albeit slim. However, if you’re not invested in who will win this one (since it will almost certainly be Mayweather), perhaps there is some interest to be garnered in how the winner gets the job done.

With both men featured being pretty unlikable there’s also the prospect that seeing either of them lose will be quite enjoyable.

Tyron Woodley has reacted for the first time to news breaking that he is set to box Jake Paul on Showtime pay-per-view this summer.

‘The Chosen One’ will square off against Paul in a 190lb professional boxing bout set for August 28.

Paul took to social media to confirm reports of the fight this morning, he wrote.

“Dear, @TWooodley thanks for being the second MMA fighter on my hit list. August 28th the 5x UFC champion is getting knocked out by a Disney actor.”

Woodley has been speaking to ESPN reporter, Ariel Helwani about his upcoming fight with Paul which he believes will be the easiest of his career.

“”Easiest fight of my career & biggest purse of my career all in one night,” Woodley said. “Basically, they brought me in to take out the trash. Can’t wait to shut this b*tch up. This is getting done for the culture, the whole MMA/boxing community, to rid this guy of combat sports.” – Woodley”

Paul is currently 3-0 as a professional boxer after picking up knockout wins against internet celebrity AnESONGib and former NBA player Nate Robinson as well as former MMA champion Ben Askren who is a good friend of Woodley’s.

Woodley was cut from the UFC after losing to Vicente Luque at UFC 260 in March. The defeat stretched Woodley’s winless run to four. ‘T-Wood’ previously lost against Kamaru Usman, Gilbert Burns, and Colby Covington in consecutive fights. He’ll be making his boxing debut when he squares off against Jake Paul on August 28.

Shogun Rua's Return

MMA legend Shogun Rua has come out and said that he wants two more fights in the UFC and then retire from the sport.

Shogun’s last fight was in November of 2020 at UFC 255 against Paul Craig. He lost that fight via submission to strikes in the second round. Following that loss, UFC President Dana White suggested that the former light heavyweight champ should retire from MMA. However, Shogun does not seem ready to hang up the gloves just yet.

Speaking with AG Fight, Shogun confirmed plans to come back and fight at least a couple more times in the UFC.

“I must do two more fights and stop. That’s my goal. Do one or two more (fights). And the moment I stop, I will be happy with myself and thankful to God. I’m an accomplished guy with my career. My only fear is to stop and then regret that I stopped a little early. But if I do two more (fights), I won’t have this problem,” Shogun said.

At 39 years old, Shogun has seen it all in his MMA career. He first burst on to the scene over in Japan fighting for PRIDE FC. He would go on to win the 2005 Pride Middleweight Grand Prix. After that, he signed with the UFC and started competing in their light heavyweight division. He would become UFC light heavyweight champion in 2010 after knocking out Lyoto Machida in the first round. Shogun would lose the belt in his next fight against Jon Jones and would go on to have a very up and down career since. In his last five fights in the UFC, Shogun has won two, lost two, and drew one.

Do you think Shogun Rua should retire now or after one or two more fights?

Jake Paul has confirmed his next opponent will be Tyron Woodley.

On Monday, MMA Island reported that the former UFC welterweight champion was set to face Paul on Showtime pay-per-view on a date yet to be disclosed.

The YouTuber has now taken to social media to confirm that report to be true and revealed August 28 is the date he and ‘The Chosen One’ are set to square off.

“It’s official??I have a list of people I plan on knocking out and as I enter my fourth pro fight, I am excited to cross the first one off the list by challenging myself against @twooodley a 5 time UFC Champion known for his knockout power,” Paul wrote. “Tyron ran his mouth a little too much in the locker room when I knocked out his best friend Ben and earned himself a top spot on the Problem Child death list. Tyron’s a seasoned striker who has fought the best MMA fighters in the world but will be dropped by a Disney teen star in 2 rounds. Maybe this time Dana White will actually be a man of his word and put his money on his former champion instead of trying to undermine my success like a jealous ex. Influencer vs MMA….let’s get it on. It’s Showtime. @showtimeboxing @mostvaluablepromotions”
