Ronda Rousey might not be the only UFC legend poised to appear in the squared circle in 2015. Speaking with fans at a UFC 186 press event, former welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre discussed his previous love of professional wrestling and opened the door to a future WWE appearance.

“It would be something I would really enjoy to do,” St-Pierre said when asked if he was considering a foray in professional wrestling with his MMA career paused. “I used to be a massive fan of the WWF. … My favorite was Shawn Michaels, Bret “The Hitman” Hart. … To make an appearance or something special, I would love it.”

The UFC and WWE have had a great deal of direct crossover over the last 12 months. Last year, the UFC shook up both MMA and professional wrestling by spiriting away Phil Brooks, better known as WWE superstar CM Punk, and signing him to an exclusive MMA deal.

Earlier this year, WrestleMania 31 became the centerpiece in two major stories as Bellator, the UFC and the WWE all entered into a bidding war for the services of Brock Lesnar that, eventually, would be won by the WWE. Not only that, but UFC women’s bantamweight champ Ronda Rousey also made a surprise in-ring appearance during a segment alongside The Rock and left the door open for future appearancesand potentially a WrestleMania 32 match opposite WWE personality Stephanie McMahon.

A guest spot for St-Pierre is certainly within the realm of possibility at this point. While he downplayed the odds of actually competing in the ring, saying he felt like he was undersized in comparison to the enormous wrestlers of old, GSP would be far from the worst celebrity to get some face time in WWE history. Also worth mentioning is that the timing is absolutely perfect, with the WWE set to appear in Montreal in May for a taping of Monday Night Raw. We’ll see if the former welterweight champ swings by the Bell Centre that night.

What say you, MMA fans? Would you like to see GSP in the ring?
