Despite losing two in a row, Glover Teixeira is set to meet another Top 10 light heavyweight. On Wednesday, UFC Tonight on Fox Sports 1 announced that the Brazilian would compete against Ovince Saint Preux in the UFC Fight Night 74 main event on August 8.

Since earning a title shot with a knockout win over Ryan Bader, Teixeira hasn’t been able to get his hand raised inside the Octagon. At UFC 172, Teixeira came up short in his bid to dethrone Jon Jones. Then, six months later, he lost to Phil Davis, who has since left the UFC and joined Bellator MMA.

Meanwhile, since losing to Bader in August 2014, Saint Preux has been headed in the opposite direction. The Strikeforce veteran knocked out Mauricio Rua and Patrick Cummins in his past two outings to earn another shot at a Top 10 opponent.

At 35 years old, Teixeira’s prime is nearing an end. If he is to make another run at the belt, and that’s a possibility with Jones out of the picture right now, the Brazilian will need to avoid a third consecutive loss against Saint Preux.

While he only recently entered the 205-pound title-shot picture, Saint Preux is 32 years old. He needs to start asserting himself as a legitimate threat to the winner of this weekend’s championship bout between Anthony Johnson and Daniel Cormier.

Teixeira and Saint Preux will serve as the UFC Fight Night 74 headliners. The event is set to go down on August 8 in Nashville, Tennessee, where Saint Preux currently trains.
