UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones made his fourth successful title defense at UFC 152, but that doesn’t mean former two-time middleweight title challenger Chael Sonnen is impressed.

Shortly after the event ended, Sonnen tweeted some serious smack talk Jones’ way:

Hey Jon, What do you think will cost more? Your hospital tab or the settlement you made with the two broads from the backseat?@jonnybones

Despite another dominant performance, Jones actually looked human for a matter of seconds when Vitor Belfort surprised the champion with a deep armbar from his guard early in the first round.

While “Bones” managed to eventually escape the submission hold, he admitted he may have suffered nerve damage in his right bicep and had his arm in a sling at the post-fight presser.

The more venomous remark Sonnen made refers to reports that Jones had two female passengers in his 2012 Bentley when he crashed the car in a drunk driving accident in May.

According to Sports Illustrated, which cites the accident report released by the Binghamton Police Department, the female passengers received cuts, bruising and swelling as a result of the crash.

They also received medical attention at the hospital, the report says.

Ever since Jones refused to fight Sonnen as a last-minute replacement for Dan Henderson at UFC 151, “The American Gangster” has laid off the verbal jabs, claiming Jones has “relinquished his belt” to him.

However, Sonnen is clearly back at it again and is clearly looking for blood. As of late Wednesday morning, Jones has not responded to the tweet.

With a win over Forrest Griffin at UFC 155, is Sonnen making a title bout with Jones the inevitable next step?
