Light heavyweight champion Jon Jones and Anthony Smith faced off today during the UFC 235 media day staredowns.

“Bones” Jones will defend his light heavyweight title for the second time in three months this weekend as he faces the massive underdog Smith. It’s interesting to note, this is the first time Jones has competed within five months of his previous fight. The last time he did that was back in 2013.

The main event participants faced off with each other for the first time this week earlier today at the UFC 235 media day (courtesy of ESPN’s Brett Okamoto on Twitter):

UFC 235 takes place March 2 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
