Dillon Danis Jake Paul Tommy Fury

After a competitive bout between Jake Paul and Tommy Fury, Dillon Danis has spoken out about his reaction to the fight and who he’d like to fight next out of the two.

Jake Paul and Tommy Fury finally threw down after several cancellations to the fight, and it turned out to be a pretty even matchup. While Tommy Fury looked better throughout the majority of the fight, he did not dominate the Youtubing boxing sensation as some believed would happen.

In fact, both fighters had shining moments during the fight. The decision itself was split, with Tommy Fury garnering the win with scores of 74-75, 76-73, and 76-73 on the judges’ cards. Fury would hand Jake Paul the first loss of his professional boxing career, and while things are leaning towards a rematch between the two: Dillon Danis would like to enter the mix.

Dillon Danis reacts to Tommy Fury vs. Jake Paul fight, calls out Fury for his next fight

While just 2-0 in his professional MMA career, Dillon Danis has garnered a gigantic reputation. While there’s no real reason he’s done so, if anything, it’s been a result of his smack talk and chiming in at opportune moments.

The latest in this series of callouts and insults has now led to his latest of Jake Paul and Tommy Fury. He’s had much history with Jake Paul, and the two men have been trading barbs for years now. However, Dillon Danis now says he’d like Paul to “keep his name out his mouth,” as Paul’s latest performance has been an embarrassment, according to Danis.

In fact, it now seems that Dillon Danis is targeting Tommy Fury for his next fight. Whether that happens or not is highly unlikely, but a man can dream. Calling out Tommy Fury on Instagram, Danis has made his wishes clear, though.

Who would you like to see Dillon Danis, Jake Paul, or Tommy Fury fight next?

Scott Coker believes Bellator has the best fighters in the world in nearly each weight class: “These guys are exceptional athletes.”

Bellator MMA CEO Scott Coker has stated that his promotion has the best fighters in the world of MMA in essentially each weight class.

It is undeniable that Bellator has some truly elite fighters on their roster. Perhaps most impressive is Yaroslav Amosov, who defended his welterweight title this past weekend against Logan Storley. Amosov looked genuinely incredible, winning just about every minute of the five-round contest. Considering the Ukranian now holds a record of 27-0, there is an argument to be made that he could be the top 170lb fighter in the world right now.

His closest competition would likely come in the form of Leon Edwards or Kamaru Usman, who are set to resolve their trilogy at UFC 286.

However, speaking to the press at Bellator 291, Scott Coker made the claim that his promotion has the very best of the best in each weight class, not just 170 lbs. He stated:

“I think this is the best roster we’ve ever had… If you look at a 205-pound weight class, I think we have the best fighter in the world. 185, we have the best fighter in the world. 170, we have the best fighter in the world. We could fight anybody, any of those, and even the lighter weights, I think ’45, I think ’55. Then whoever wins this tournament, to me, would be the best lightweight in the world. I mean, that’s how I feel.”

“And to have to be able to say that after five, six years of building this roster, it feels really good because these guys are exceptional athletes. And when I first came here, it wasn’t like that. This was not the Bellator it is today. It was a very small organization, small show, and it’s come a long way. And now we’re on a good roll.” (H/T MMA Junkie)

These are bold claims from Coker, especially considering the depth of the UFC’s current roster. Promotions such as the PFL and ONE Championship also have a number of athletes competing at the very top of their respective divisions right now.

Bellator’s current list of champions is as follows:

Heavyweight: Ryan Bader.

Light Heavyweight: Vadim Nemkov.

Middleweight: Johnny Eblen.

WelterweightL Yaroslav Amosov.

Lightweight: Usman Nurmagomedov.

Featherweight: Patricio Freire.

Bantamweight: Sergio Pettis.

Women’s Featherweight: Cris Cyborg.

Women’s Flyweight: Liz Carmouche.

Do you agree with Scott Coker that these fighters are the best in the world?

Bellator welterweight champion Yaroslav Amosov returned to action tonight for the first time in nearly two years to face interim champion Logan Storley for the second time at Bellator 291.

Yaroslav Amosov hadn’t fought since June of 2021 when he captured the title against multi-time champion Douglas Lima due to him defending his home country Ukraine from the Russian invasion.

Their first fight was quite wrestle-heavy from both parties, with each man nullifying the others attack.

Both men exhausted one another, and it was a very, very close fight with Amosov being awarded the split decision victory.

Since then, Amosov had won the title, while Storley had gone 3-0 following, including his interim title victory over 20-1 Michael Page in his most recent bout back in May of last year.

Going into this fight, Amosov had a record of 26-0, while Storley had a record of 14-1, the only defeat of course coming to Amosov.

This fight was much, much different than their first.

Amosov came out like a man possessed and just began piecing Storley up with his boxing from the jump. His kicks would soon follow, snap kicks and push kicks up the middle, as well as round kicks to Storley’s legs, body, and head.

Amosov kept this pace up for the entire 25 minutes, forced Storley to switch stances due to the leg kicks he was enduring, and really just busted him up the whole fight. It was as dominant of a performance as we’ve ever seen from Amosov, which is really saying something considering his universal 50-45 win over Lima in his latest appearance.

Once the bout was said and done, Amosov landed over 250 strikes while Storley landed less than 100, he stuffed all 12 of Storley’s takedown attempts handily, and even took Storley down three times as he was awarded the handed unanimous decision victory.

This was an incredible showcase of mixed martial arts.

Many of us were wondering how Yaroslav Amosov would look upon return, and the answer is even better than when he left.

It looks like Jason Jackson is next for Yaroslav Amosov

Ireland’s Peter Queally came up short at Bellator 291, crumbling under a brutal shot from Bryce Logan in the 1st round.

Peter Queally’s walkout to The Cranberries ‘Zombie’ remains one of the most electrifying moments in modern MMA. Unfortunately, the ‘Showstoppers’ performances have not quite lived up to his walkouts as of late, as he is now 1-3 in his last 4 bouts.

At Bellator 291, Queally once again had the 3Arena on its feet as he made the walk to the octagon. The Irishman faced off against former LFA champion Bryce Logan, who was looking to pick up his first win under the Bellator banner. Queally started strong, landing his early shots and seemingly forcing Logan onto the back foot.

However, after clinching up, Logan would force Queally up against the cage. As Logan broke away, he landed a brutal elbow that essentially ended the night for Queally. Ground and pound shots quickly forced the referee to step in. In the aftermath of the fight, Logan could be seen telling the Irish crowd to be quiet.

Check out the highlights from Bryce Logan’s first-round TKO over Peter Queally below:
