Snoop Dogg Predicts Mike Tyson Will Enter the Ring High for Jake Paul Showdown

As Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson nears their boxing match, rapper Snoop Dogg has offered some insights into the smoking habits of the heavyweight legend ‘Iron’ Mike.

Snoop Dogg on Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson

‘Iron’ Mike Tyson is a heavyweight boxing icon who collected world titles in the 1980s. He was feared for his striking power, knockout record, and controversy outside the ring. According to Miek Tyson, regular CBD usage has helped him heal mentally and physically. In an interview, Tyson explained:

“I’ve been fighting for over 20 years, and my body has a lot of wear and tear. I had two surgeries and I used marijuana to calm my nerves, and it would take the pain away … But before, they had me on those opiates, and those opiates had me all screwed up … I thought about how much good I could do by helping people with cannabis. It was a no brainer

While Tyson has not fought professionally since 2005, he did take an exhibition boxing match against Roy Jones Jr. in 2020. Reflecting on this fight, Snoop Dogg spoke to Joe Rogan and said: “The fact that he can still do that at 55, and he’s smoking Weed, Joe.

Joe Rogan said, “I think he said he fought Roy Jones high.

Snoop Dogg responded, “I know for a fact he did.

Roy Jones Jr. Reveals Jake Paul’s Big Challenge Against Mike Tyson: “I don’t fear for Mike

A notable rule change has Roy Jones Jr. firmly believing that Jake Paul could be in for some trouble in his rapidly approaching battle with the grizzled legend Mike Tyson.

The fight will occur on November 15th at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. It will supposedly be live-streamed to Netflix, and anybody with a subscription can catch the action.

Despite the gigantic 31-year age gap between the fighters, the fight has also been sanctioned by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation to be an official professional heavyweight boxing match. However, there have been a few alterations to the rules of the fight, which has Roy Jones Jr. believing that Jake Paul could be in for a long night.

Roy Jones Jr. Speaks on the rule changes for the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight

The fight’s rule change will see Paul and Tyson fight in 14-ounce gloves instead of the standard 10-ounce mitts. The duo will also box over eight two-minute rounds as opposed to the traditional three-minute rounds.

Mike Tyson was said to want the shorter rounds, as he said it would cause “more action. Roy Jones Jr., who faced Tyson back in 2020, doesn’t think these rule changes will suit Jake Paul very well.

“That’s the real question: how much can Jake survive?” Jones Jr told talkSPORT Drive (H/T Talk Sport). “That’s the real question because Mike has what it takes to get anyone out of there.”

“And I’m going to tell you this, when I boxed him four years ago it was only two-minute rounds but surprisingly he didn’t decline, he stayed the same the whole fight. And that surprised me. If they are doing two-minute rounds then Mike is not going to tire out, I already know that because I watched him do that.”

Jones Jr. is pretty confident that Tyson has got this one in the bag but doesn’t foresee any knockouts. Instead, he’s calling for the old legend to win via points.

“Well, I like Mike, probably by decision,” he said. “But if he chooses to go out and take him out, I think he can. However, I feel like if he feels comfortable, he will just box and enjoy himself. Why get in shape to go one round?”

“I don’t fear for Mike and how old he is. Mike is still hard to hit and Mike still hits hard as hell.”

‘Like a Baseball Bat’ Oleksandr Usyk Names Hardest Hitter He’s Battled

Oleksandr Usyk

The heavyweight boxing king Oleksandr Usyk is now on top of the world after defeating Tyson Fury in May to add the WBC belt to his esteemed collection.

The fight with Fury was a brutal war. Things went back and forth, and both men suffered each other’s wrath. Things looked pretty close heading into the ninth round, where Usyk landed a knockdown on Fury that would later prove highly pivotal on the judges’ scorecards.

After the battle, Usyk held the WBC, IBF, WBA, and WBO belts and was truly on top of the heavyweight boxing world. Unfortunately, Oleksandr Usyk has since had to relinquish his IBF title, which Daniel Dubois now holds.

Dubois is also a former victim of the Ukrainian heavyweight phenom. The two fought back in 2023, and Usyk scored a beautiful knockout over his opponent.

Oleksandr Usyk opens up about which of his opponents hit the hardest

While speaking with the Three Knockdown Rule podcast, Usyk spoke on his many trials as a boxer. He told the hosts how the Tyson Fury fight was definitely his toughest so far, but did mention that Fury wasn’t the hardest hitter that he has ever faced. In fact, Derek Chisora holds that honor.

“Toughest fight?” Usyk said (H/T Seconds Out). “Yes, it was [Fury]. Biggest punch – no. Because Derek Chisora, very tough guy. [A punch landed] on the gloves, and I said: ‘Oh my God.’ Like a baseball bat.”

Oleksandr Usyk fought Chisora in 2020. It was just his second fight in the banner division after deciding to move up from cruiserweight. Usyk ultimately won via points, but he can probably still close his eyes and imagine Chisora’s fearsome power.

Were you surprised by Usyk’s answer, and do you think it would change if he fought somebody like a Deontay Wilder or Francis Ngannou?

Vogue Arabia’s November 2024 issue, titled “Made in Arabia,” features Algerian boxer Imane Khelif on its cover. Khelif, who won a gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics, faced controversy when her gender was questioned during her competition.

The magazine cover story delves into Khelif’s background, revealing her humble beginnings in Tiaret, western Algeria. She shares her struggles, including selling bread on the roadside and collecting recyclables to fund her training. Ultimately, this would lead to her earning a gold medal in the Olympics.

Imane Khelif was the center of controversy during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games as her gender was brought into question. A story was misreported that she failed a gender test, which was false. No test occurred and the organization never disclosed what test they had done. People on social media were ready to attack a target. But, it was all false. As Chael Sonnen explained:

“Alleging that this Algerian boxer Imane Khelif had a test showing she had the XY chromosome, which would indicate biological maleness. But this is simply not true. The test never happened. The IBA never claimed such a test was done.

“The claim that the boxer submitted a genetic test that came back with an XY chromosome—indicating that she is biologically male—is simply not true. The IBA, which initiated this whole controversy, never said such a test was done. They only mentioned that they found something, which was then appealed.

But if you care about the truth and the reality, I’ve just laid it out for you.

Speaking to Vogue, she said:

“My country stood by me with great conviction, led by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, who was the first to support me. All the authorities and the entire Algerian people were on my side, and I am very proud of that. These difficulties are part of every successful person’s journey, but no one has been able to shake my self-confidence – and that’s the secret to my success.”

Mike Tyson’s Top 5 Boxing Picks Before His Comeback: Who Made the Cut?

Before making his long-awaited return to the ring on November 15, legendary pugilist ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson revealed his five favorite boxers from today’s crop of world-class talent.

Emanating from the 80,000-seat AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, the former undisputed heavyweight world champion will compete in his first professional boxing bout in nearly 20 years when he meets YouTube sensation Jake Paul.

Before making the most anticipated comeback in the sport’s history, Tyson appeared on the Pound-4-Pound podcast with former UFC champions Kamaru Usman and Henry Cejudo to preview his showdown with ‘The Problem Child.’ Along the way, Tyson revealed who he considers to be the five best boxers in the business today.

“[David] Benavidez, ‘Tank’ [Gervonta Davis], Shakur [Stevenson] when he’s got that kind of guy, like if ‘Tank’ was fighting him. Something like that. Who else? Of course we’ve got [Terence] ‘Bud’ Crawford, and listen, I like [Errol] Spence Jr. too. I think Spence Jr. could come back and still get his title back. I really think so, I think Spence Jr. is an underrated fighter.”

Mike Tyson weighs in on usyk vs. fury 2

Interestingly, Tyson left Oleksandr Usyk off the list. In May, the Ukrainian became the first unified heavyweight titleholder in more than two decades when he defeated Tyson Fury via split decision in Saudi Arabia.

Usyk and Fury will run it back on December 21 in what may very well be the biggest rematch of the decade. Offering his take on the sequel scrap last month, Tyson suggested that ‘The Gypsy King’ played around a little too much the first time around.

“Hey, listen, Usyk surprised everybody. I think Tyson Fury played around too much,” ‘Iron’ said while speaking with Talksport.  “I think he needs to be taking fights serious and hopefully he’ll get a different result.”
