Reigning unified lightweight world champion Devin Haney found himself under fire in 2020 after making the claim that “no white boy” could ever beat him in the boxing ring.

“I can tell you this — I will never lose to a white boy in my life,” Haney said in an interview with 78SPORTSTV’s YouTube channel. “I don’t care what nobody got to say. Listen, can’t no white boy beat me, I don’t care, on any day of the week. I fight a white boy like 10 times, I’m gonna beat him 10 times.”

Khamzat Chimaev did not take kindly to Haney’s comments, recently revealing that it prompted him to unfollow the undefeated boxer on social media. ‘Borz’ also went so far as to dub ‘The Dream’ as a racist more than three years removed from the controversial remarks.

“I unfollowed him after that video. He’s too arrogant,” Chimaev said in a video on social media. “He said he’ll never lose to a white boy. That’s racist. If I say I’ll never lose to a black guy, the world will be like, ‘Khamzat doesn’t like black people.’ Black guys can fight white guys. What’s the difference? The goal is the same.”

He continued, “When a black guy says that, it’s no big deal. If I say that, the whole world will discuss it. I got black friends and white friends. I don’t care if you’re black, white, orange, blue.”

Haney Offered an Apology Shortly After Making the Controversial Comment

Shortly following his comments, Haney attempted to mitigate the damage via a couple of posts on social media.

“I’m not racist and I never will be a racist. I’m chasing greatness,” he said in his first post.

He then posted: “I just had a very positive conversation with Mauricio Sulaiman, president of the WBC, and confirmed to him directly my commitment to be a role model and my absolute rejection of discrimination of any kind.”

Though the comments have largely been forgiven and forgotten in the combat sports community, it’s clear that Khamzat Chimaev is still holding onto that grudge.

BKFC star ‘Platinum’ Mike Perry claims Dillon Danis is out, he’s in against Logan Paul on Oct. 14

According to BKFC star ‘Platinum’ Mike Perry, Dillon Danis is out and he is in.

On October 14, Danis was set to step inside the squared circle for a clash with social media sensation Logan Paul as part of Misfits Boxing’s ‘The PRIME’ Card’ in Manchester. However, that no longer appears to be the case if both Danis and Perry are to be believed.

On Thursday, Danis reposted a clip of Logan Paul discussing the legal battle between Danis and his fiancee, swimsuit model Nina Agdal. The comments seemed to spark some frustration in Danis who suggested that he is bowing out of the bout less than two weeks from fight night.

“Logan bragging about lawsuits again he isn’t built for the fight game, this pussy doesn’t deserve me I’m out,” Danis wrote on X.

Adding fuel to the fire was Mike Perry, the official backup for the contest, who posted a video saying, “It’s official guys. I’m in.”

It should be noted that neither Dillon Danis nor Mike Perry have officially confirmed the change, leading some to suspect that this is nothing more than another tactic to get people talking about the bout.

Logan Paul Responds to Dillon Danis and Mike Perry

Logan Paul offered up his response to the situation on social media saying:

“Don’t let Dillon fool you… he knows that pulling out AGAIN would guarantee no fighter, fight organization, or legit brand will ever work with him because he’s an unreliable liar,” Paul posted on X. “Not to mention the embarrassment of pussying out against me. I’m going to break this predator physically, mentally, spiritually, and financially. This isn’t about just winning the fight; I’m going to destroy his entire life. But truthfully, idgaf who shows up on October 14 — the man across from me will be knocked out cold.”

It didn’t take long for Dillon Danis to snap back at Paul online.

“Logan is so delusional he thinks this makes him look good. It’s actually crazy,” Danis replied. “Suing someone isn’t a real fighter move. It’s a cowardly move. Step down from your moral high ground. People still remember you using a suicide victim for financial gain and clout. Also, be a man and turn on your replies pussy.”

The moral of the story? Nobody seems to know what the hell is going on, but it’s safe to say that Dillon Danis, Mike Perry, and Logan Paul have fight fans and the MMA media eating out of the palm of their hands right now.

Logan Paul plans to put liens on every paycheck Dillon Danis earns ‘For the rest of his life’ amid lawsuit

Logan Paul

Jake and Logan Paul believe they’ve got Dillon Danis backed into a corner after the latter’s fiancee, Nina Agdal, filed a lawsuit against the BJJ specialist last month.

Dillon Danis is scheduled to compete for the first time in more than four years when he steps inside the squared circle for a showdown with Logan Paul in Manchester, England. The pair will throw hands in the co-main event of Misfits Boxing’s ‘The PRIME Card’ on October 14.

To try and build hype for the fight with the WWE Superstar, Danis targeted Agdal online, posting NSFW images of the Danish swimsuit model and attempting to slut-shaming her over a series of past relationships. Danis’s trolling tactics caused his social media numbers to skyrocket, but after sharing a sexually explicit photo of Agdal taken during a “romantic encounter” more than a decade ago, Danis finds himself in violation of state and federal ‘revenge porn’ laws that could have him on the hook for hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Speaking about the situation on their podcast BS w/ Jake Paul, the brothers discussed Danis’ potentially dire situation and their belief that the former Bellator fighter is now in desperate need of a payday.

“He has to fight now because he has tons of lawyers to pay for,” Jake Paul said. “Probably for the next… Two, three years worth, and if you have good lawyers, he said 400k in lawyer fees. It’s probably gonna be more than that actually because if he pulls out, he still has to pay the lawyer fees because the lawsuit is still there and he still has to pay the 100k. I bet you in his bank account… I’ve done a little math and I think Dillon Danis has about $60,000 to his name and that’s being generous.”

Logan Paul Wants to Hit Dillon Danis Where It Hurts for the Rest of His Life

The ‘Problem Child’ suggested that without this fight, Danis could very well find himself declaring bankruptcy with all the looming lawyer fees and potential damages he could be liable for.

“Even then, it doesn’t end. You put liens on every paycheck he earns for the rest of his life,” Logan Paul added.

“He doesn’t know that what he did was wrong. I also think people are confused about what the lawsuit is. I think a lot of people think it’s about the photos he’s been posting. The photos that are online. It’s not. It’s about a serious crime he committed and to be honest… I don’t know if I want to or even can or should dive in that much because I don’t want to undermine the justice system. It speaks for itself and I don’t want this to appear like fight promotion.

“The lawsuit has nothing to do with me, bro. This is Nina’s thing. This is her decision. I support her 100 f*cking percent. I love that girl so much and this has been crazy for both of us.”

All hell broke loose during Dillon Danis’ appearance on the FLAGRANT podcast with Andrew Shulz.

On October 14, Danis will return to competitive combat sports for the first time four years when he steps inside the squared circle for a highly anticipated clash with social media sensation Logan Paul. The pair are set to co-headline Misfits Boxing’s ‘The PRIME Card’ in Manchester with a matchup between undefeated prospects KSI and Tommy Fury slated for the main event.

Before strapping on the eight-ounce gloves later this month Dillon Danis made an appearance on Schulz’s popular podcast where things got a little out of hand between the two.

It all started when a scuffle broke out between Danis, Schulz and three other individuals on set. After everything was broken up, Danis and Schulz once again got in each other’s face before cooler heads prevailed.

“You wanna go head to head? You are touching me with your mouth and kissing me! He’s like a f*cking Rhinoceros, this guy,” Schulz said as Danis butted heads with him. “He’s grabbing my t*int! Oh f*ck! I got him right where we want him. I can’t breathe, I got his balls!”

Of course, it was nothing more than the pair having a bit of fun with one another. Before long, Danis put his shirt back on and sat down to resume the podcast.

Dillon Danis Looks Back on His Viral Arrest Video

During their lengthy conversation, Dillon Danis addressed a viral video of him being choked out by a bouncer after failing to get into a nightclub. Danis had forgotten his ID and attempted to Google himself to gain entry. When that didn’t work, Danis attempted to throw a punch leading the bouncer to take him down and wrap him up until local authorities arrived.

“There’s six guys, right? I say, ‘Yo, listen, no one touch me and we’re not gonna have a problem.’ So the guy goes like this to me, ‘What happens if I do touch you?’…I throw a punch, I hit the guy… And I’m one leg on crutches and there are two guys on my arm and two guys are trying to take me down, they can’t take me down,” Danis explained.

He [the bouncer] jumps on my back and the cops come at this point and the cops are in front of me and they’re like, ‘Stop resisting.’ I don’t know who’s behind me, I think it’s a cop and I’m drunk and I’m on percosets… I thought it was a cop [instead of the bouncer] until I saw the footage… That’s why in the video I’m not fighting back.

Dillon Danis recently revealed during his appearance on The MMA Hour that the knee injuries he had suffered around the same timeframe had him drowning his sorrows in alcohol and contemplating taking his own life.

Former UFC middleweight champion, Michael Bisping, discusses the upcoming Francis Ngannou Vs. Tyson Fury fight.

Fury and Ngannou are set to square-off on October 28 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in what will be a ten round boxing exhibition. Ngannou is undoubtedly a hard hitter, and many are happy that he is line for a significant amount of money, but a fairy tale ending is highly unlikely.

Fury is a generational talent, he’s big, tough, hard hitting and moves like a man half his size – Ngannou posses several levels bellow and stands little chance. Fury will likely play with him and with rumours of him recently signing a fight with Oleksandr Usyk accentuates his feeling of fearlessness of Ngannou’s skills.

Michael Bisping talks Tyson Fury vs. Francis Ngannou

Talking via his YouTube channel, UFC commentator Bisping spoke on the upcoming matchup. ‘The Count’ concluded that Fury is ‘mocking’ his opponent and does not feel that ‘The Gypsy King’ is not taking his next test seriously.

“He is mocking him,” Bisping began. “He does not take him seriously, he does not respect the threat of Francis Ngannou one little bit. Why do I say that? It’s pretty simple. He’s already booked his next fight against Oleksandr Usyk, who is the next-best heavyweight on planet Earth. (H/T MMAFighting)

“He’s taking the piss. He doesn’t give him any credit whatsoever. Well, listen. Ngannou’s not a boxer. He’s a mixed martial artist,” Bisping continued. “We know that. He’s not as tall, he’s not as fast, he’s not as skilled. But the man can bang and he can knock people out and I’m telling you, is Tyson Fury making a massive mistake here? Because in the fight game, they always say, ‘Never look past your opponent. Never underestimate your opponent. Always expect the best version of them.’”
