Anderson Silva’s son Gabriel got a brutal beatdown by Anthony Taylor at Misfits Boxing 17 in a shocking turn of events. After securing the big win, Taylor wasted no time before making some big callouts.

The fight between Gabriel Silva and Anthony Taylor came to fruition because YouTube personality turned boxer KSI withdrew from a two-vs.-one boxing match that was set to feature Taylor. So, the son of MMA legend Anderson Silva was added to the mix, and suddenly, the Misfits Boxing 17 card was saved.

The fight between Taylor and Silva was an interesting one. On the one hand, you had Taylor, who floundered about the MMA scene, from fighting for brands like Bellator to becoming a largely exhibitionist boxer under organizations like Misfits Boxing. On the other hand, there is Gabriel Silva. Largely untested but still the son of one of the greatest champions and mixed martial artists ever to grace this planet.

Sadly, the challenge proved too great for Anderson Silva’s boy, and Taylor walked away as the victor after only three rounds. It was an impressive showing from the MMA journeyman, and it will likely help pave the way for fights in the future against bigger and better names.

The damage was largely done in the third round, as Taylor dropped Silva three times to end the battle. On the second to last knockdown, a picturesque right hand found a home and sent Gabriel Silva into a different realm momentarily.

Although Silva managed to answer the count, it wasn’t meant to be. He would go on to get dropped again, and the fight was officially over. Taylor was undoubtedly thrilled to have scored such a big victory for his resume, and he made the most of his mic time to make some potentially unreasonable but nonetheless exciting callouts.

Darren Till, I know you watching!” Exclaimed Anthony Taylor after the bout. “Hey, If you see this message, bring it! Floyd Mayweather, I’ll knock you little skinny a** out too. Bring it, ’cause best believe I ain’t going nowhere!”

What do you think the odds are that Anthony Taylor could actually land himself a fight with Darren Till, or Floyd Mayweather?

Tai Emery Told Conor McGregor and BKFC that She Wouldn't Flash The Crowd ... Again

Tai Emery is getting a lot of attention these days.

The Aussie burst onto the scene under the BKFC banner in September 2022 following an impressive first-round TKO against Rung-Arun Khunchai in Thailand. But as impressive as her performance was, it was her post-fight celebration that had everyone talking.

Immediately following the win, Emery hopped up onto the ropes and flashed the crowd, giving fans in Bangkok a little something extra. The incident was caught on camera and quickly went viral on social media.

A recently formed partnership between the BKFC and RIZIN sent Emery to Japan in July for a bare-knuckle scrap with Charisa Sigala at Super RIZIN 3. Emery once again scored a quick finish, leaving Sigala with a badly broken nose following a first-round TKO.

Before Emery was allowed to step inside the ring at Saitama Super Arena, she had to make some promises that her jaw-dropping celebration in ‘The Land of Smiles’ wouldn’t be repeated.

“100 percent,” Emery told MMA Mania, promising not to flash the Saitama crowd. “In every single email, every single phone call from David Feldman. I literally had to learn how to say, ‘No, I promised David Feldman and Conor McGregor that I wouldn’t flash and I wouldn’t be naughty.’ I learned how to say that in Japanese just for the sheer fact that I knew they’d ask me that.

“I had to pull that [phrase] out in some of the interviews and they were impressed.”

Tai Emery sets sights on BKFC gold and potential boxing debut

After making her big debut in Japan, Emery has a host of options, but her goal of one day claiming BKFC gold remains a top priority. With that said, Emery is more than willing to strap on a pair of boxing gloves should the opportunity present itself.

“I want the belt. I want what’s mine. That will be the moment I can finally go (exhales), okay, on top of the mountain, let’s smell one flower, and let’s get back to work,” Emery said. “Outside of that, I really want to put on the gloves and box whether that’s with RIZIN or Misfits or both. I think it’s exciting times for fighters right now.”

Exclusive: Leah Gotti Eyeing MMA After Boxing Win: “I’ve wrestled and fought my whole life”

Leah Gotti

After a TKO victory in Misfits boxing, Leah Gotti may be looking at taking up MMA next. She defeated model and ring girl Amber Fields by TKO and was unimpressed with the challenge. With boxing experience, plus her collegiate wrestling background, Gotti could be a great fit for MMA.

After her debut victory in boxing, Leah Gotti sat down for an interview with LowKickMMA’s Tim Wheaton on MMA After Dark. Gotti is a lifetime athlete. In college, she competed in football and softball but was a standout in wrestling. In preparation for her boxing match, she moved to Colorado to dedicate herself to training. Whatever she does, she commits herself fully to it. Right now, she is training for a half-marathon.

In an interview, Leah Gotti explained:

They kept asking me questions like, ‘How do you feel about her experience in the combat world?’ The thing is, she has no real experience in combat sports—she’s been a ring girl, and that’s not the same. I’ve wrestled and fought my whole life, and that is real experience in combat sports.”

She continued and explained that whatever she does next, it will be taken with the utmost gravity:

“A lot of different fight promotions have been asking if I’d be interested in fighting. I’m open to trying a different style of fighting if the opportunity arises, but they need to give me time to train properly. I’m not going to just say, ‘Yeah, I’ll take an MMA fight right now.’ No, I need to get back in the gym and practice the basics—single legs, double legs, and all that. I need to get my fundamentals right.

“Training for one sport is one thing, but when you’re competing at this level, you have to be on point. I’ve always been good at learning different mechanics in sports because I’ve played multiple sports, but this level of competition requires meticulous preparation.”

She concluded by saying:

“You need to be able to tap into your anger and aggression. At the beginning of my boxing and wrestling training, I was often timid. It usually took someone slamming me or hitting me hard enough to bring out that aggression. Being able to channel that intensity is crucial for success.”

Exclusive: Leah Gotti Unimpressed with Amber Fields’ Weak Punches: “Is she joking?”

Just this past week, Leah Gotti took out Amber Fields, defeating her opponent in an impressive TKO victory. However, one thing that shocked the model and influencer Gotti was how weak her opponent hit.

Leah Gotti vs. Amber Fields

In Misfits Boxing, performer Leah Gotti was booked to take on model Amber Fields in a boxing match with 16 oz gloves. Gotti does not do anything halfway. She committed herself to boxing and trained with serious intent. She moved her life to Colorado to have a dedicated training camp in preparation for this fight.

Additionally, Leah Gotti is no stranger to hard work in athletics. In college, she received a scholarship in wrestling. Plus, she was competitive in both softball and football. In addition to her boxing fight, she is currently preparing for a half marathon.

Leah Gotti was disappointed when she stepped in the ring against Amber Fields as she was ready for war. Speaking with LowKickMMA’s Tim Wheaton on MMA After Dark, Leah Gotti explained:

“I trained so hard. I took this seriously for it to turn out to be the worst sparring match I’ve ever had. I was sparring with girls who are actual fighters, so they weren’t treating me like a princess. They’re f*ing me up. They were really giving it to me—bloody noses, black eyes, and punches that had me falling to the ground, feeling like I was dying, especially in the stomach. They weren’t just shoulder-checking me or light sparring; they were really going at it.”

Then, when she faced Amber Fields:

“When she hit me in the first round, I was like, ‘Is this for real right now? Is she joking?’ She hit me so lightly that I don’t even have to block this. I could just throw punches wildly if I wanted to because this isn’t going to hurt me; this isn’t going to cause any real damage.’”

“When I finished the fight, I wasn’t even really sweating it. I was like, ‘Damn, this just feels like I trained so hard.’ That’s what it felt like.”

Leah Gotti was victorious with a TKO in her Misfits Boxing debut. Now, she is speaking with various organizations to book her next fight which could be in boxing or MMA. See the full interview below:
