It’s no secret that Colby Covington and UFC president Dana White are at odds with one another. Covington and White’s relationship seemed to fall apart over the course of the past year. In that time, Covington has struggled to get a 170-pound title opportunity, blaming White for “slave” negotiation tactics.
Now, a fight is booked for UFC 245, where Covington will headline on pay-per-view (PPV) and challenge Kamru Usman for the undisputed welterweight strap. In the lead up to that fight, Covington took his issues with White to a whole other level. Speaking in a recent interview, Covington suggested, should he emerge victorious in Las Vegas this December, he doesn’t want the UFC boss to attempt to wrap the title around his waist.
If he does, he’s going to grab the title and smack White in the face with it.
“I can tell you who’s not wrapping it around my waist, and that will not be Dana White. If he tries to wrap it around my waist, I’m gonna take the belt from him and slap him in the face with it.”
That didn’t sit well with White, who was asked about Covington’s comments at the UFC Boston post-fight press conference this weekend. White was fuming when he gave the media in attendance his reaction to “Chaos’” threat.
“Good luck with that,” White said. “Good luck with that. He’s a big-mouthed f*cking idiot.”
It appears Covington isn’t done, taking to Twitter to take yet another shot at his employer with a humorous meme.

UFC president Dana White did not take too kindly to Colby Covington recently threatening to slap him at UFC 245. Covington recently noted that, should White try to wrap the welterweight title around his waist if he’s victorious against Kamaru Usman, he’s going to slap White with the UFC title.
“I can tell you who’s not wrapping it around my waist, and that will not be Dana White. If he tries to wrap it around my waist, I’m gonna take the belt from him and slap him in the face with it.”
White finally got the opportunity to respond to these comments during the UFC Boston post-fight press conference. The UFC boss called Covington a “big-mouthed f*cking idiot.”

It will be interesting to see how White and Covington interact at UFC 245. Covington will be challenging Kamaru Usman for the 170-pound throne in what will be “The Nigerian Nightmare’s” first career title defense.
The UFC 245 card features three title fights, including Usman vs. Covington, Max Holloway defending his featherweight title against Alexander Volkanovski, and Amanda Nunes defending her women’s bantamweight strap against Germaine de Randamie.

Covington will challenge Usman for the welterweight championship on December 14 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Speaking to Submission Radio recently, Covington was asked about the matchup, and his thoughts on the upcoming one-off BMF Championship being put in place for Jorge Masvidal vs. Nate Diaz at UFC 244. Hollywood megastar and WWE legend The Rock will be wrapping the belt around the winner’s waist.
When asked which professional wrestling legend he’d like to wrap the belt around his waist, if victorious at UFC 245 against Usman, Covington named WWE Hall Of Famer Kurt Angle – whose entrance theme he uses for his Octagon walkouts. However, Covington threatened, if UFC president Dana White attempts to wrap the belt around his waist in Las Vegas, he’s going to slap the UFC boss with it.
“I got a lot of people in my corner. A lot of people on team MAGA. We’re gonna be dropping MAGA bombs December 14th. It’s the Trump train and the Colby train continues. Choo choo. And just like I told you guys after Newark, get off the tracks or you’re gonna get ran over. Marty should have learned the lesson. He should have just waved, stayed off the tracks and waved while it goes by. But he wanted to stay on the tracks, so now he’s gonna get ran the fuck over.”
“It would have to be Kurt Angle because he’s just so American. And letting me use his walkout song, it’s gonna be one of the greatest walkouts again in the UFC history, just like the last one. And it just has so much symbolism. I’m America’s champ and he’s an American Olympic champion and world champion in the WWE, and everything he stands for, I stand for. So, I’d love to have him put the belt around me. But I also got a lot people that are gonna be in attendance.”

In regards to whether or not he cares that a star the magnitude of The Rock will be in attendance to put the belt around the waist of the Masvidal vs. Diaz winner, Covington claimed he couldn’t care less.
“Nah, I could care less. I mean, let him do that, let him hype up these losers that are never gonna sniff anywhere close to the greatness that I’ve sniffed. They’re not getting calls from the president of the United States, they’re not getting texts daily from the first family, they don’t have an open invite to the Whitehouse. Oh cool, you got some pro wrestlers? I know lots of pro wrestlers.
“Actually, I might have to have Kurt Angle show up and beat the Rock’s ass. I mean, let’s be honest, Kurt Angle won the Olympics with a broken freakin’ neck. The guy’s an intense machine. And Bobby Lashley, my friend over at the WWE, Ronda Rousey. I got so many friends over at the WWE. Paul Heyman. I got a lot of friends over there, I could care less about The Rock. He’s all hype, and they probably just had to pay him a ton of money to show up to do that.”

It’s no secret that former interim UFC welterweight champion Colby Covington and MMA manager Ali Abdelaziz don’t like one another. In fact, the pair engaged in a Vegas buffet brawl the day after UFC 239 in Las Vegas.
Abdelaziz has recently gotten himself into more trouble, allegedly punching another MMA manager in Abe Kawa at a recent Professional Fighters League (PFL) show. Speaking to Submission Radio, Covington noted he’s surprised Abdelaziz hasn’t been deported from the country yet. He plans on speaking to United States President Donald Trump on the matter soon.
“Well, first off, you got to get his name right. His name is Ali Abdelasleaze. The sleazeball is a terrorist rat. The guy has no boundaries, I can’t believe he hasn’t been deported yet,” Covington said. “By the way, I’m about to get on the phone with Donald Trump after I get off this interview. That is the second time he has punched someone in the face in the last couple of months.
“He has two charges pending in Vegas against him. Also, I don’t know if you guys, you guys should do your research and do some digging into this, but he also has a sexual assault case against one of the UFC employees for trying to rape one of the UFC employees at an event. You should dig into that and start asking Ali those questions. The guy is a complete scumbag, a dirtbag, and I don’t know how he hasn’t been deported yet.
“He must have definitely ratted all his friends from Egypt and got them life sentences and must still be giving them informant type information to be getting off all the charges he has gotten off. That guy is literally done everything there is to in the book besides kill somebody that we know of. The guy is a sleazeball and that is that.”
As of this writing, there are no credible reports to support the allegations from Covington that Abdelaziz sexually harassed a UFC employee. However, we’ll keep you updated as we learn more. Currently, Covington is scheduled to take on Kamaru Usman in the main event of the December UFC 245 pay-per-view (PPV) for the welterweight championship.
