Over the weekend (Sat. June 22, 2019) Chris Leben was defeated in bare-knuckle action.

Leben took on Dakota Cochrane in the co-main event of Bare-Knuckle FC (BKFC) 6 from the Florida State Fairgrounds Expo Hall in Tampa, Florida. Unfortunately for the former UFC star, Leben was defeated by Cochrane via unanimous decision. They jerked the curtain for the highly-anticipated main event between Paulie Malignaggi and Artem Lobov.

Shortly after his defeat, Leben took to Instagram to show off his battle scars. “The Crippler” took some nasty damage from his scrap with Cochrane. Check it out here:

“Well you drive a car long enough you go to get in a wreck it was a good fun fight thank you BKFC Way to go @dakotacochranemma I’ve been punched by a lot of people before but I don’t think anybody hit me quite as hard as the guy!!”

Leben was previously undefeated in bare-knuckle competition. He strung together a two-fight knockout streak before going the distance with Cochrane. Prior to this weekend, Leben hadn’t gotten out of the first round against any of his opponents. As for his mixed martial arts (MMA) career, Leben hasn’t fought since 2013 when he was defeated by Uriah Hall under the UFC banner.

Now, Leben has seemed to find a resurgence in his combats sports career at 38-years-old. It will be interesting to see how he bounces back after his first loss in bare-knuckle competition.

Bellator 128 Results and GIF Highlights: Warren Edges Dantas, Page Defeats Burrell

Another Friday night, another Bellator card–Bellator 128, to be specific.

This card wasn’t the best Bellator has put on, but it was good enough. Alexander Sarnavskiy took on pornographic actor Dakota Cochrane. Bubba McDaniel fought Emiliano Sordi. In the co-main event, highly touted prospect Michael Page met Nah Shon Burrell. Eduardo Dantas defended his Bellator bantamweight title against Joe Warren in the main event.

In the co-main event, highly touted prospect Michael Page met Nah Shon Burrell. Eduardo Dantas defended his Bellator bantamweight title against Joe Warren in the main event.

Check out the GIF highlights and the complete results below (all via Zombie Prophet):

Bubba McDaniel vs. Emiliano Sordi:

The GIF tells the entire story of this fight. McDaniel shot in and earned a tight guillotine choke for his efforts. It was a slick submission win for Sordi.

Alexander Sarnavskiy vs. Dakota Cochrane:

Domination was in vogue at Bellator 128. Sarnavskiy vs. Cochrane was just as one-sided as Sordi vs. McDaniel. Sarnavskiy made Cochrane look like he hadn’t boxed in his life. After rocking him on the feet and flooring him, Sarnavskiy sunk in a rear naked choke.

Michael Page vs. Nah Shon Burrell:

The fight many expected to be the fight of the night turned out to be a dud. There weren’t many highlights from this match. Burrell tried to wall-and-stall Page, but Page managed to land far more strikes. He won via decision. The GIF above shows off a post-fight scuffle between the two fighters–or it shows officials trying to break up a hug. You decide.

Eduardo Dantas vs. Joe Warren:

Much to our surprise, Joe Warren managed to defeat Eduardo Dantas! Warren out-wrestled and out-hustled the Brazilian, who seemed disinterested in the fight. To use a terrible cliche, Warren just WANTED IT MORE [barfs from using that phrase]. Warren’s performance was of the gritty wrestler variety. As such, it doesn’t lend itself to GIF highlights. So what we have above is an illegal kick to the head of a grounded Dantas. Big John McCarthy didn’t take a point for this infraction, which caused some controversy among MMA fans on Twitter.

Here are the complete results:

Main Card

Joe Warren def. Eduardo Dantas via unanimous decision (48-47, 48-47, 48-47)
Michael Page def. NahShon Burrell via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)
Alexander Sarnavskiy def. Dakota Cochrane via submission (rear naked choke), 2:32 of round 1.
Emiliano Sordi def. Bubba McDanial via submission (guillotine), 0:58 of round 1.

Preliminary Card

Cortez Coleman def. William Florentino via unanimous decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28).
Andreas Michailidis vs. Jason Butcher via TKO (strikes) at :28 of round 2.
Emmanuel Sanchez def. Stephen Banaszak via submission (rear naked choke) at 2:18 of round 1.
John Teixeira def. Scott Cleve via split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28).
J.C. Cottrell def Jonathan Gary via submission (guillotine) at 3:38 of round 2.
Brandon Seyler def. Demario Cade via submission (rear naked choke) at 2:25 of round 1.

Joe Stevenson Loses to Dakota Cochrane via Rear Naked Choke; Everyone Snickers [VIDEO]

(Fight video props: IronForgesIron. The hot man-on-man action starts at the 7:01 mark.)

By George Shunick

Joe “Daddy” Stevenson’s return to the cage was foiled by everyone’s favorite not-really-gay gay porn star Dakota Cochrane last night, who submitted “Daddy” with a rear naked choke. For Stevenson, this is obviously a disappointment. His losing streak has reached five in a row now, his skills have seemingly peaked, and thanks to Ian McCall he doesn’t even own the best patriarchal nickname in MMA anymore. Though to be fair, that was probably because no one else had one. At any rate, he’s not going to reach the big time again, as the sport has passed him by. It’s a shame, but at least he can always hold on to the fact that his face will always be remembered. Well, at least the parts of it that were not obscured by his own blood.

For Dakota, a win over Joe “Daddy” definitely bolsters his resume. He may never be able to shed his reputation, but being a successful cagefighter probably helps quell any critics he has to deal with. And frankly, while I’m not suggesting that singling out a fighter because of their sexual orientation is a good thing, I do think that Cochrane’s presence and success in the sport bodes well for any future (or currently closeted) gay or bisexual fighters. Even if Cochrane doesn’t consider himself one of them.

In many ways, the MMA, especially the UFC — as a promotion and a sport — is fundamentally rooted in modernity. It has very little history beyond the past two decades. As the sport has evolved in the past few years, so has the moral perception of homosexuality. While these two things aren’t necessarily related, they also mean that the sport hasn’t really had time to cultivate a culture that is oppressive to homosexuals. Sure, Dana White has dropped the other f-bomb occasionally (though, if a word’s offensive, you can bet it came out of his mouth at some point), Big Nog won’t train with gays and there are probably a decent number of fans who are homophobes. But given the complete lack of outrage over Cochrane’s past, the fact that he was allowed to try out for TUF and that he was in a headlining fight last night, it seems that the general MMA community is prepared to adopt a moral standard for sexuality that reflects the modern age during which the sport has developed.

It doesn’t matter who you fuck, just as long as you can fight.

[VIDEO] Dana White Talks Edgar/Henderson Rematch and TUF 15?s Dakota Cochrane

(What transpired that day on Laguna Beach would forever change DW’s outlook on his usage of the F-word. No, the other F-word.)

UFC President Dana White recently sat down with Spencer Lazara among others for a brief interview, and among the topics to come up was that of a possible Frankie Edgar/Ben Henderson rematch. Edgar, who lost his belt to Henderson at UFC 144, has been bombarding White with talks of a rematch since losing the belt, despite the fact that Dana has outwardly stated a desire for Edgar to drop to 145 and face Jose Aldo. When asked if there was any update on the rematch, DW had the following to say:

No, not yet. Frankie Edgar’s manager has been blowing me up for the last two days. I know he flew to Las Vegas and met with Lorenzo. They thought I was going to be there too, but I’m not. Frankie owes me a phone call. I called Frankie again yesterday and he didn’t answer so we’ll see what happens.

When asked if Dana was growing discouraged with Edgar’s persistence, White was quick to commend the former champ:

Frankie Edgar has given every guy a rematch that we said deserved a rematch. Again, my only beef is, with him being at a higher weight class, you have these decisions that are so narrow that people are on both sides of the fence. I’d rather see him at 145.

I mean, look at these guys at 125. Benavidez said it tonight, he said, ‘Listen, I used to crack guys at 135 pounds, and it was tough to put them away at that bigger weight class.’ What do you think Frankie Edgar’s going to do? Everybody thinks there’s no competition for Jose Aldo. I disagree…and I’d like to see [Edgar] go there.

Join us after the jump for the full video, which includes White’s thoughts on TUF 15’s Dakota Cochrane.

As we all know, it has recently been revealed that The Ultimate Fighter 15 cast member Dakota Cochrane came from a somewhat controversial background, which has in turn caused quite an uproar in the MMA world as of late. According to DW, this controversy was not unexpected, as they were aware of Cochrane’s past before they booked him on the show:

Of course I knew. Listen, the kid’s a fighter. He did what he did. He didn’t break any laws, he didn’t do anything illegal. When we do background checks on guys, we look for stuff that’s illegal, we look for criminal stuff, we look for stuff we just don’t like. You can have your own opinion of him…but the kid’s a fighter, he’s got a good record, and he’s earned his way into The Ultimate Fighter.

Well, at least they perform background checks. We’re looking at you, Strikeforce.

Eight MMA Fighters Who Have Done Porn

(Jenna Haze: Pound-for-pound G.O.A.T.)

Yes, friends and neighbors, there’s a fighter on the upcoming season of The Ultimate Fighter who has done porn — and not the normal kind, either. Since it’s a slow news week, this TUF 15 sub-plot has blown up to monumental proportions on MMA forums, but let’s put this in perspective: Dakota Cochrane isn’t the first MMA fighter to pick up some extra cash by appearing in adult films, and he probably won’t be the last. Send the kids out of the room, and follow us on a journey through the porn/MMA continuum…

WAR MACHINE

Sometime between his first Bellator firing and his first prison stint, TUF 6 veteran War Machine (f.k.a. Jon Koppenhaver) decided to transition into the porn game. So, he got his asshole waxed, and made a few flicks with such starlets as Riley Steele and Briana Blair. Sadly, he was 86′d from the industry after he beat up several guests at a porn star’s birthday party, just a month into his new career.

AARON BRINK

Maybe the most successful MMA fighter-turned-porn actor, UFC veteran Aaron Brink has been performing as “Dick Delaware” since 2003. Though a meth addiction temporarily threw his life into chaos, Brink entered rehab to clean himself up. Last year, he played the role of Electro in Spider-Man XXX: A Porn Parody and went 2-2 in the cage.

KIMBO SLICE

Alright, so Kimbo is only here on a technicality. As a former bodyguard for the “Reality Kings” porn production crew, Slice appeared as a featured extra in several of their XXX videos, though never performed himself. For further viewing, here’s Kimbo lurking in the background during a totally legitimate “Money Talks” negotiation (SFW), and here’s Kimbo balancing a glass of champagne in a girl’s ass at the club (NSFW).

DAKOTA COCHRANE

Here’s the story: Before he became an MMA fighter and TUF 15 hopeful, Dakota Cochrane was a college student at the University of Nebraska-Kearney who earned about $80,000 as a gay-for-pay performer in some dude-on-dude porn flicks. Cochrane, who identifies himself as heterosexual, described the situation to MMAFighting: ”It’s definitely a decision I regret. If I would have known what would happen I definitely wouldn’t have done it. But I had money issues and I needed help. I went there to do pictures, and they started throwing pretty high numbers in front of me. I didn’t really think. It was a big mistake…I let [the UFC] know right away so it wasn’t anything that could come back and bite them in the butt. I think maybe they respected that a little bit. I think some people judge against it, some people will be OK with it. Some people will want me to get my butt kicked, and hopefully others will respect what I’m trying to do…People can be shocked, and people can say whatever they need to say, and then we can move on.”
