Dana White has admitted a huge error was made and resulted in Donald Trump not being featured on the UFC 264 broadcast.

Ahead of the biggest MMA event of 2021, White had talked up the list of stars expected to watch Dustin Poirier vs. Conor McGregor III live.

The UFC boss named checked several celebrities including Justin Bieber, Dave Chappelle, Kourtney Kardashian, and the former U.S president.

On fight night, many assumed Trump was a no-show because all of the other A-listers got their moment on the big screen, and he did not.

After the event, video footage emerged of Trump and his secret service detail sat directly behind White at UFC 264 to watch the last two fights of the card.

As per usual with a Trump public appearance, the fan reception was ranged from “USA” chants to audible boos for the 45th president of the United States.

In an interview with TMZ Sports, White was asked why Trump was omitted from the UFC 264 broadcast.

The UFC boss explained that it was the result of a “massive f*ck up” by his production team.

“What happened was, we was getting ready to show him (Donald Trump) right between the co-main and main event. I think you remember we showed OBJ (Odell Beckham Jr.) then it was supposed to go to David Spade, 2 Chainz, and then the president, White said. “We had some kind of glitch in the truck and then the Conor fight ended up ending in the second round, so, we never got a chance. Let me tell you what, massive f*ck up by my production team but, you know, it’s live TV and these things happen.”

Do you agree with Dana White? Was it a “massive f*ck up” to not show Donald Trump on the UFC 264 broadcast?

Whether you support him, hate him, or are indifferent, the crowd at UFC 264 had a little bit of everything when it came to their reaction to former U.S. President Donald Trump entering T-Mobile Arena to watch the fights.

Trump became the first U.S. President to attend a UFC event back at UFC 244 when welterweight stars Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal fought in the main event for the BMF belt. At the Conor McGregor-Dustin Poirier trilogy, Trump and his secret service detail sat directly behind UFC president Dana White to watch the last two fights of the card.

As per usual with a Trump public appearance, the fan reception was ranged from “USA” chants to audible boos for the 45th President of the United States.

Politics aside, it’s certainly a milestone that the UFC is able to garner the attention of politicians and high-level celebrities for their events. It seems like yesterday that former Arizona senator John McCain (R. AZ) referred to mixed martial arts as “human cockfighting”.

Nowadays, as the sport of MMA increases sharply in popularity, so does the notoriety of people in the seats.

Trump and a full-capacity crowd were treated to quite an eventful night at UFC 264. In the main event, Poirier earned a wild doctor’s stoppage victory after McGregor fractured his left ankle towards the end of the opening round. Just hours after the event, McGregor would undergo surgery on a fractured tibia at a nearby hospital.

Trump is apparently a massive fan of combat sports, and more specifically the UFC and White. He has a true fan in the form of UFC welterweight contender Colby Covington, who visited the White House on numerous occasions during Trump’s time in DC.

After losing the 2020 Presidential Election to Joe Biden, Trump is still receiving mixed reviews from the general public. But one thing is for certain, he’ll more than likely continue to be a presence at UFC pay-per-views in the future.

Were you surprised by Donald Trump’s reception at UFC 264?

According to Dana White, The 45th President, Justin Bieber and comedian Dave Chappelle are only a few names to expect amongst the UFC 264 celebrity guest list.

Ahead of the blockbuster trilogy match between Poirier and McGregor taking place this weekend at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Dana White (President of the UFC) spoke with TSN’s Aaron Bronsteter, where he dropped a few names of celebrities we can expect to see this weekend.

White told TSN that amongst the 45th US President Donald Trump, Bieber, Chappelle, Kevin Durant, Odell Beckham Jr, Machine Gun Kelly, Megan Fox, Mel Gibson, Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker are others to expect with the celebrity guest list growing by the minute. White went on to state his excitement for the bout urging fans to purchase their pay-per-view in advance due to the increasing demand.

Trump recently made an appearance at UFC 244 back in Nov 2019 in New York where he was spotted cage side. Trump had been in attendance for the BMF (Baddest Mother F**ker) Title bout between Masvidal and Diaz. The 45th President became the first U.S. President to attend a UFC event. With Trump being a fan of the UFC, it is no surprise that he will be making an appearance this weekend with the stacked sold out card bringing life back to Vegas.

In an interview with Brett Okamoto of ESPN, White had confirmed that UFC 264 was not only set to be one of the most spectacular events to take place in Vegas but that it was also set to have more celebrity fans in attendance than any other UFC event in all of the companies history.

Amongst those already mentioned, who would you like to see at UFC 264, and furthermore, who would you like them cheering on?

UFC welterweight contender Colby Covington has sent a thank you message to Donald Trump who finished his four-year stint as the American president on Wednesday.

Trump left the White House and was replaced by Joe Biden yesterday. Covington took to social media to praise the divisive figure for “always putting America first.”

“Thank you for always being the champion the people of America need Mr. President! God bless you and the entire Trump Family for always putting America First!,” Covington wrote.

Covington has been a very visible and vocal Trump supporter for some time now. He is usually sporting a MAGA hat and played a role in the former president’s failed bid to retain office in 2020.

Following his capture of the interim welterweight crown opposite former lightweight gold holder, Rafael dos Anjos back at UFC 225 in June of 2018 – Covington visited The White House with his interim crown upon invitation by president, Trump.

Prior to his most recent win over Tyron Woodley ‘Chaos’ was sitting front row at a Trump rally in Nevada where he met with the President. Post-fight he received a call from Trump and later sat front row again alongside the President’s family and advisors as he debated Joe Biden for the first time.

Covington is currently being linked to a fight with fellow Trump supporter and former friend, Jorge Masvidal. The pair previously trained together for many years at ATT but the relationship soured and Covington has since branched out on his own.

‘Chaos’ has been publicly pursuing the fight for some time and is now waiting on Masvidal to sign the contract to make this match-up official. As of right now, ‘Gamebred’ has failed to commit to the fight, negotiations between the BMF champion and the UFC continue.

Do you think Colby Covington & Jorge Masvidal will fight in 2021?

By now you’ve probably heard that Joe Biden has been announced as the president elect for the United States of America. However current President, Donald Trump has refused to concede the election, claiming the Democrats have committed voter fraud and rigged the election, something Trump has not backed up with evidence. (H/T Bloody Elbow)

Trump has been supported by a whole list of MMA fighters who have taken to social media to back the President in his claims.

Trump has made a series of claims on Twitter, which have since been censored by the social media company as potentially misleading.

There has been no evidence of any voter fraud committed in the United States election, Trump has still not provided any evidence since initially making the claims.

It is no secret that Donald Trump has a lot of support within the UFC, he is friends with UFC President Dana White and has recently had public endorsements from fighters Jorge Masvidal and Colby Covington, a pair who are supposed to fight in January.

Trump recently made claims that President-elect, Joe Biden would be a terrible UFC Fighter.

Colby Covington, Jorge Masvidal, Eddie Alvarez, Michael Chandler and Tito Ortiz are all amongst the list of MMA fighters who have supported Trump since it was announced he had lost the election.

Masvidal uploaded an image from the 2000 election in which Al Gore was projected to win Florida, which he eventually lost with the UFC fighter hinting something similar will happen with this election.

Colby Covington also tweeted to call the election fake news, insisting that Florida should be declared whilst Trump was in the lead.

Former UFC Lightweight Champion, Eddie Alvarez claimed there was a lot of ‘dirty deals’ being done.

Tito Ortiz, Michael Chandler and Gina Carano all backed up Donald Trump as well.

Chandler later deleted this now screenshotted tweet.

What are your thoughts on MMA fighters backing up Trump’s claims of a rigged election?
