Just because he lost at UFC 196 earlier this month, UFC Featherweight Champion Conor McGregor’s character traits have not changed one bit, according to UFC President Dana White.

White appeared on “The Russillo and Kanell” show this week and revealed that after talking to McGregor, UFC is now focused on finalizing his opponent for UFC 200, as the Irishman insists on getting right back inside the Octagon after suffering his first UFC loss to Nate Diaz.

“I was at his house last night talking to [McGregor],” White said this week. “What do you think his future is? He wants to fight again as soon as possible. He wants to jump back in there and he wants to fight again. We’re working on who the next opponent will be.”

White continued, “This business it has to burn, it has to be a desire inside you to fight. Conor McGregor’s a perfect example. This guy’s going to turn around and fight on (UFC) 200 again. You have to have that burning desire to fight. If you don’t have it, you absolutely should not fight.”

Add Ken Shamrock and Kimbo Slice to the list of names who have made headlines for failed drug tests in the past few days.

Shamrock and Kimbo reportedly failed the pre-fight drug test for their fight against each other back at Bellator 149 in February.

Despite the fact that each man has fought since then, Kimbo beating Dada 5000 and Shamrock losing to Royce Gracie, their failed tests for Bellator 149 just came back this week according to Susan Stanford of the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, which oversees the commission.

The commission currently is in the process of filing a complaint against Shamrock and Slice, Stanford said. The fighters are also administratively suspended for 90 days.

It looks like UFC contender Nate Diaz isn’t taking too kindly to pop star Justin Bieber’s social media efforts to lift Conor McGregor’s spirits following his first UFC loss at UFC 196 this past Saturday evening.

Following the event, which saw Diaz defeat McGregor via second round choke, Bieber started posting messages on social media directed at McGregor. Initially, Bieber posted a photo of McGregor with a caption that simply read, “Still the champ.”

From there, he posted a video where he toasted McGregor saying, “To McGregor. He’s still the champ. That broke my heart,” before adding, “No bandwagon but Conor is a true champion, fights with style and finesse, all the respect to Nate but his style is terrible. Nate has crazy heart respect.”

Diaz had seen enough.

The Stockton native took to social media to post his own photo, one that shows a cartoon Nate Diaz slapping a cartoon Justin Bieber, with some captions of its’ own.

The caption above Bieber’s face in the graphic read, “Nate your style is terr___,” with the one above Diaz reading, “Shut your bitch ass up!!!!”

Well, if Miesha Tate upsetting Holly Holm to become the new UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion wasn’t enough, the main event had quite the shocking outcome at UFC 196 as well.

UFC veteran and former TUF Champion Nate Diaz forced “The Notorious” Conor McGregor to tap out to a rear-naked choke at the 4:12 mark of the second round, ending what was a two-round war up until that point.

McGregor lumped up Diaz with kicks and punches in the first round, opening a big cut near Diaz’s right eye that turned the Stockton native’s face into a crimson mask. Diaz was covered in blood by the end of the first.

In the second round, Diaz’s face was a completely bloody mess after McGregor started putting together an impressive series of strikes only to get caught with some by Diaz that rocked him. McGregor never seemed to completely recover as from that point on, Diaz stayed on McGregor and blistered him with a barrage of shots that led to him getting the Irishman’s back and sinking in the rear-naked choke.

“Hey, I’m not surprised mother f*ckers,” said Diaz when Joe Rogan asked him how it felt to get that victory.

In an epic performance, former Strikeforce Women’s Champion added another gold belt to her trophy closet on Saturday night, as she choked out Holly Holm to become only the third UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion in history.

After nearly choking out Holm in the second round on multiple occasions, but “The Preacher’s Daughter” managed to hang on and survive.

From there, Holm would get back in control of the action only to find herself in deep trouble again in the fifth and final round.

Trouble she would not manage to escape this time.

Miesha “Cupcake” Tate got Holm’s back and once again secured a rear-naked choke. Holm, in an attempt to escape threw Miesha over her head and while she landed awkwardly, Tate held onto the choke and Holm eventually went completely out.

And there you have it. We have a new UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion.

What this means for “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey’s return remains to be seen. Does she prefer getting the win back from Holm, or her title back from another rival of hers?

Only time will tell!
