UFC Fight Pass is home to not only the best action in the Octagon, but also fight content from WEC and Strikeforce as well as other sports such as boxing and grappling.

And UFC president Dana White might be considering adding professional slapping to the library as well.

In a social media post on Thursday, White shared a clip of Russian slapper Vasiliy “Dumpling” Kamotskiy losing for the first time via “knockout” to a rookie named Vyacheslav Zezulya.

You can see the post below:

“These guys SLAP the SHIT out of each other!” White wrote on Instagram. “The guy in the red is the Champ “Dumpling” and he just lost for the first time. I’m thinking about putting these on [UFC Fight Pass] what do u guys think?”

It’s more brutal than one would think. According to reports, “Dumpling” was taken to the hospital as he suffered a mini-coma as a result of the fight-ending slap.

Would you watch men slap each other professionally? Which UFC star would be perfect for this sport?

Greg Hardy Booked For Fight Pass-Aired Bout This Month

Greg Hardy’s next fight is set for a Fight Pass-aired event:

Greg Hardy has his next fight set.

The controversial MMA veteran will continue his pro-MMA journey when he competes in a regional bout at the end of the month. Hardy has been scheduled to face 1-1 competitor Ray Jones (1-1) at Xtreme Fight Night 352 on September 29 from the River Spirit Casino Resort in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The fight was first reported by MMAjunkie. It will air on UFC Fight Pass.

Hardy, of course, brings notoriety from his time as a Pro Bowl NFL players – and the domestic violence scandal that followed. UFC President Dana White has repeatedly stated Hardy deserves another chance in MMA.

The hulking knockout slugger began his fight career in amateur bouts. He dominated all comers with ease. Hardy then graduated on to appear on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series (DWTNCS). Two knockout wins (in 57 and 17 seconds) at DWTNCS 9 and 16 got him signed to a developmental deal with the UFC.

That journey will continue against Jones at Xtreme Fight Night 352.

But many fans will wonder why Hardy isn’t facing an opponent with at least somewhat more skill. He’s beaten all of the lesser-experienced fighters that he’s faced. Hardy may not be ready to take on top-level pros, but he deserves a step up in level of opponents.

This fight will most likely end in another brutal first-round knockout for Hardy. The real questions will start when he actually faces a heavyweight who can make him dig deep.

UFC Fight Night 95 is on our doorstep. Cris Cyborg will fight on home turf in Brasilia, Brazil as she takes on Muay Thai veteran and UFC debutante Lina Lansberg in the main event. Entering the top slot in Brazil doesn’t come without a price for Cyborg, who is currently deep in to a nasty 30-pound weigh cut to make 140 pounds. The catchweight headliner is backed up by a featherweight clash that features former bantamweight boss Renan Barao against Phillipe Nover.

The Brazilian ‘Baron’ had a tough debut at 145 pounds as he lost the decision to Jeremy Stephens last time out. Now without a win since his submission over Mitch Gagnon, Barao will need to step it up against the BJJ black belt Nover. In the heavyweight division Roy Nelson will battle Antonio ‘Bigfoot’ Silva. ‘Big Country’ has that brutal KO power and Silva’s form recently would indicate a likely finish in this clash, but you never know.

UFC Fight Pass Adds Pancrase and Seven Other Promotions, Still Kind of Sucks As a Digital Service

(“What was your question? Are we looking to buy the entire Internet? I mean, yeah, we’ll see what happens.”/Photo via Getty)
UFC’s digital subscription service, Fight Pass, has its fair share of pros and cons. The cost isn’t all that damaging to the wallet, but it’s not exactly the game-changer promotion officials thought it would be.

Without knowing too much about subscriber info and profits, the network allows you to watch free UFC cards, including FOX Sports 1 events, preliminary fights, and exclusive Fight Pass broadcasts that usually take place outside of North America. It also has an extensive UFC library, containing an abundance of full main cards from UFC, Pride, WEC, EliteXC, and those two Affliction MMA cards that were surprisingly fun.

After reports surfaced that hackers stole login info and credit card numbers from tens of thousands of subscribers late last month (which confirms that early security concerns were never fully addressed), fight fans were met with a better announcement, as Zuffa announced hours before UFC 182 it has acquired eight fight libraries from well-known international and regional promotions, including legendary Japanese outfit Pancrase, as well as King of The Cage, HookNShoot, TKO, Cage Rage, Extreme Challenge, UCMMA, and XFO.

UFC Chief Content Officer Marshall Zelaznik announced the news in a press conference on Saturday, revealing that over 13,000 individual bouts are slated to be added to Fight Pass this upcoming spring. The content comes from the brain of UFC matchmaker Joe Silva, who apparently made his own list of what promotions he wanted to see on the digital service (according to MMA Fighting).

But there’s still a lot to complain about, after the jump:

Now, the Pancrase library certainly gets us giddy, seeing that their current events are pretty difficult to find, without the availability to download those events after they take place. The rest is a nice treat, yet we’re still holding out for Yamma and Rhode Island Vale Tudo. With that said, Fight Pass is starting to shape up as definitive library of MMA fights from the most important promotions, and it’s apparently still growing.

This comes not too long after UFC’s inclusion of Invicta FC events, providing streaming of live events and past showcases from the leading all-female MMA promotion. We could really do without exclusive shows like The Ultimate Fighter: Whatever Country We’re In and MMA Mindset, but variety is never a bad thing.

On the other hand, this also means a boatload of free content will likely be pulled from YouTube and other free streaming sites. Zuffa legal teams will be out in full force and prohibiting fans from watching some old Bas Rutten and Frank Shamrock Pancrase fights because they now own that material.

In spite of that, it still feels like Fight Pass is “under construction,” since the search tool is fairly problematic; you’d think the service could at least rank the bouts you’re looking for in chronological order. It’s also incredibly glitchy, with a lot of complaints about getting bounced out of a live broadcast, only to have to sign back in. There are rewind functions, but it’s kind of annoying to be asked to log in again after the site freezes and have to reenter your password during the critical moments of a fight.

Also, for those that think pro wrestling isn’t direct competition to MMA, think again. Fight Pass was overshadowed by the WWE Network days after its launch, which isn’t doing so good itself, according to pundits. The reason WWE stole the glory was their inclusion of the 12 PPV events they put on a year (including WrestleMania, Royal Rumble, and Survivor Series), not to mention countless hours of WCW and ECW footage. By comparison, the UFC didn’t even have their complete fight library posted at first (nor did they have as much Pride material, which is sort of a deal-breaker if you’re going to monopolize the online MMA world). For what it’s worth, Japan’s top wrestling promotion, New Japan Pro Wrestling, launched its own digital network a few weeks ago, called NJPW World. The cost is similar, and since Puroresu is rising in North America, it’s a lot more compelling to watch old Antonio Inoki contests from decades ago, instead of an Ultimate Bigfoot Silva collection.

If that’s not enough, there’s no indication the new additions will help generate more subscribers. It’s a nice bonus for the MMA diehards who are already staying up all night to watch international UFC cards on the Internet, but is it a true selling point for those who are still on the fence? If the UFC was willing to take a little bit of a pay cut to include a couple of PPV events on the network, then the service would be a must for your typical UFC enthusiast. But apparently, PPV isn’t dead, despite more and more people cancelling their cable subscriptions in favor of laptops and HDMI wires.

Oh, and one other thing … word on the streets is that UFC had geoblocked the prelims for Canadian fans this past weekend, presumably in attempt to get Canucks to sign up for specialty channels like The Fight Network. Stemming from the new deal UFC signed for their Canadian broadcasts, this would absolutely suck if you had to pay extra to watch a handful of prelim bouts that you used to watch for free when the UFC was on Sportsnet.

I’d like to think all these issues will be resolved this year, but pessimism is one of my favorite pastimes.

Report: Hackers Target UFC Fight Pass, Releases Passwords and Credit Card Data

If you’re subscribed to UFC Fight Pass, there’s a chance your credit card data and password have been leaked courtesy of hackers claiming allegiance to Anonymous.

A twitter account bearing their name tweeted a link to a document containing tens of thousands of user names, passwords, and credit card numbers. However, other Anonymous members claimed this hack was not the work of the official group.

The hackers — whatever Internet faction they belonged to — targeted more than just the UFC, however. As the Daily Dot noted, the leaks included Xbox Live, Sony’s Playstation Network, Twitch TV, Amazon, Walmart, and Hulu Plus.

We recommend you change your passwords as soon as possible, as well as check for any suspicious activity on the credit card you used to sign up for Fight Pass.

It’s unfortunate, but it a mass data leak from UFC Fight pass was inevitable. As Iain Kidd noted back in January, the UFC’s digital security measures were lax at best. And given that the UFC feuded with Anonymous briefly in 2012, it would’ve been a good idea to strengthen security measures. This incident was preventable, but it’s too late now. So all we can do is just hope for the best, and be careful about giving the UFC any of our information in the future.

Here’s What a UFC Magic the Gathering Set Looks Like

You didn’t hear about Dana White’s latest announcement: An MMA-related Magic the Gathering set?

Well, there’s a reason you didn’t hear about it: It didn’t happen. Thankfully, one of our favorite past times is figuring out what products should needlessly be merged with our MMA obsession. A few days ago, we arrived at Magic the Gathering (MTG for short). We played the addictive card game back in high school. We wondered what a set of MTG that spans the entire MMA world might look like. The below cards–featuring the likes of Dana White, Conor McGregor, Greg Jackson, as well as several “MMA memes”–are the result of our mental meandering.

A few notes: We haven’t played Magic in about 10 years so some of the gameplay semantics might not be totally accurate. Also, some of the abilities are for the purposes of chiding MMA as only irreverent CagePotato can. All real photos in the cards come from Getty Images, save for the photo of “Minowaman” Ikuhisa Minowa, which comes from Sherdog. Another card’s image comes from a YouTube screen capture (you’ll know which one).

With that, here are the cards. We hope you enjoy them:
