Sucker Punch Management founder, Brian Butler-Au was forced to intervene in a prank set up for his client, UFC light heavyweight contender, Jamahal Hill – after the latter almost found himself involved in a physical altercation.

Jamahal Hill, who improved to 10-1(1) as a professional back in February in the main event of UFC Vegas 48, landing a first round knockout win over Johnny Walker in a Performance of the Night bonus earning finish. The win also earned Hill the #10 rank in the official light heavyweight stack.

Slated to return in August, Jamahal Hill headlines for the second time consecutively, tackling one-time light heavyweight title challenger, Thiago Santos in a high-stakes main event bout.

Butler-Au, who is pictured with Hill sitting outside, appears to have organized Tik Tok prankster, ImReddTTV to carry out a prank on his client, who pretends to be on his phone, taking a call, offering to fight Hill.

Signalling to Butler-Au, the prankster is quickly grabbed by Hill near his neck, before Butler-Au intervenes and corrals Hill – who is informed repeatedly that he is the subject of a prank attempt from ImReddTTV

Jamahal Hill has been touted as a future top contender at 205lbs

Before his February knockout win over Brazilian prospect, Walker, Hill managed to stop his fellow division prospect, Jimmy Crute with a similarly devastating first round knockout victory.

Suffering just a single professional loss, the Illinois native dropped a first round strikes stoppage defeat to Paul Craig during a grappling scramble in the early stages of their UFC 263 matchup in June of last year.

Embarking on a three-fight undefeated run to quickstart his UFC tenure, Hill, a product of Dana White’s Contender Series – defeated Darko Stosic, and recent UFC 274 victor, Ovince Saint Preux, in between a knockout win over Klidson Abreu which was later overturned to an official ‘No Contest’ after Hill tested positive for marijuana.

Canelo Alvarez

Undisputed super middleweight champion, Canelo Alvarez failed in his attempt to land the WBA super light heavyweight championship in a division leap last night against champion, Dmitry Bivol – suffering a unanimous decision loss over the course of 12 rounds in the pair’s Las Vegas, Nevada headliner.

Suffering just the second professional loss of his career following a prior judging defeat to former world champion, Floyd Mayweather back in September 2013, Canelo Alvarez had entered his light heavyweight division return off the back of a successful eleventh round finish over Jacob Plant back in November of last year – adding the IBF super middleweight title to his stacked and decorated mantle.

Failing to ever really mount any significant offense against the undefeated Russian, Bivol – Canelo landed a career-low number of strikes over the course of 12 total rounds, forced to fight from the outside as Bivol countered and defended expertly. Landing a successful title retention, Bivol landed a unanimous judging win on all three judge’s scorecards, who inked 115-113 on their official papers.

Managing to roll and stick up a persistent guard throughout the 12 round main event despite Canelo’s best efforts, Bivol admitted that he had felt the power coming from the Jalisco pound-for-pound king, but pointed to visible damage to his shoulder and arm – rather than his head.

“I felt his power,” Dmitry Bivol said post-fight. “As you can see from my arm, he (Canelo Alvarez) beat my arm up but not my head. It’s better. He had a good speed and power. Maybe his mistake was he threw only hard punches. After hard punches, he relaxed and (was) tired. I was feeling great. This was the biggest fight of my career and I enjoyed this fight. When the people booed me, it gave me more energy.”

Last night’s ‘Sin City’ defeat for Canelo snapped a whopping 16-fight winning streak for the Mexican puncher, who had previously made the light heavyweight limit back in November 2019 to land the WBO light heavyweight crown with a eleventh round knockout success against Bivol’s compatriot, Sergey Kovalev.

Below, catch the highlights from Canelo Alvarez’s upset defeat against Dmitry Bivol

Shakur Stevenson

Off the back of his WBC super featherweight championship win last night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, undefeated uber-prospect, Shakur Stevenson was forced to intervene in an alleged brawl involving his mother, drawing an abrupt close to his post-fight press conference.

Headlining the Las Vegas, Nevada card in a monumental night for professional boxing, Stevenson managed to land his eighteenth professional victory – remaining undefeated with a dominant unanimous decision victory against Sonora native, Oscar Valdez – landing the WBC and The Ring super featherweight championships as well as defending his own WBO super featherweight crown.

Stevenson, an Olympic silver medalist at the 2016 summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro made his professional debut just five years ago, and has been tipped to land in the official pound-for-pound rankings off the back of last night’s success against Valdez in ‘Sin City’.

Shakur Stevenson was forced to call a halt to his post-fight press conference

However, the 24-year-old’s impressive unanimous decision win over Mexico native, Valdez, was briefly hampered by a post-fight brawl broke out during his press conference, forcing him to cut short his media dealings in order to attempt to intervene.

Whilst details of the altercation are limited at the time of publication, reports suggest Stevenson’s mother and members of his team were involved in the post-fight scuffle, with video footage emerging of the brawl at the press conference.

“And a fight broke out just outside of the press conference,” Andreas Hale tweeted. “Shakur Stevenson darted off stage, world titles on his shoulders, into the fray.”

“Crazy scene at @MGMGrand interrupting @ShakurStevenson press conference #ValdezStevenson,” The Schmo tweeted, accompanied by brief video footage of the post-fight brawl.

“Apparently two women are accused of attacking Shakur Stevenson’s mother, which abuptly (sic) concluded the news conference when Shakur rushed to her aid,” Mike Coppinger tweeted. “Was unclear what was happening in real time #ValdezStevenson.”

Joe Rogan Mike Tyson Plane Assault

After viral news of Mike Tyson assaulting someone on a plane surfaced, the world was shocked and caught totally unaware. Now, Joe Rogan has weighed in on the incident. Giving his opinion on the assault and how Tyson was provoked into it.

“That’s real simple, that dude was a douchebag,” Rogan said on his podcast. “He was annoying one of the baddest motherf*ckers that’s ever walked the face of the earth… that’s not even (like) kicking a beehive, that’s like headbutting a beehive,” he would conclude.

As far as the assault situation goes, video and witness evidence all seem to show that Mike Tyson was indeed provoked into the attack. He was being harassed and ridiculed by the seemingly-drunken fan, and almost lured into the ordeal.

In fact, most people’s opinion on the assault was that they didn’t “blame” Tyson for what he did. Many say they would’ve done the same thing in that situation, basically insinuating the man who harassed the boxing legend “deserved” what he got.

Joe Rogan Gives Details on the Man Mike Tyson Assaulted

Joe Rogan and his guest for the show would continue discussing the situation, talking about how foolish the guy was to provoke Mike Tyson in such a manner.

“That guy was probably on a bunch of sh*t. The guy who Mike Tyson punched, according to the New York Post, has a lengthy criminal history…” Rogan said. “If you find yourself (in a situation) where Mike Tyson is reaching over the back of an airline seat to punch you in the face, I think you’ve probably earned it.”

“The guy was super annoying… People get crazy, they think that just because he’s Mike Tyson, he’s famous, he can’t just punch you… he’s just gonna hit you like a normal person would.”

Boxing Hall of Famer Mike Tyson lost his cool when a passenger on the airplane kept provoking him.

On Wednesday night, Mike Tyson boarded a flight to Florida from San Francisco International Airport around 10.30 PM PT. Along with ‘Iron’ Mike were fellow passengers and the victim, who have been reported to get along well with the boxing legend initially. A witness reports taking selfies with the retired boxer and recalls Tyson being patient with the overzealous fan.

Sitting just behind Tyson on the flight, the enthusiastic man kept trying to talk to the 55-year-old fighter. He was rebuked by Tyson for his provocative behaviour but continued to repeat his actions even after he was told to chill out.

As per the witness report, Tyson lost his cool and attacked the man when he did not take heed to his advice as he attempted to bother him again. He landed several blows in the man’s face as he let on an onslaught of punches.

In a video obtained by TMZ Sports, Mike Tyson can be seen punching the man seated behind him multiple times causing him to bleed from the face.

Mike Tyson was reported to have walked off the plane seconds after the incident. The man who was assaulted received medical attention and went to the police with a bloodied forehead. No comments have been made by the cops, JetBlue, or Tyson’s team yet.

Gun pulled on Mike Tyson in recent controversies

Earlier in March this year, Mike Tyson was at a comedy show in Hollywood, California when a man pulled out his gun and challenged him to a boxing fight. Once known as ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’, Tyson has worked hard to transform himself into a new identity, much different from his past self.

His most recent controversy surrounds him against another man who didn’t seem to understand proper boundaries. The man was reported to have been quite drunk during the incident which may help explain his stubborn behavior.

No developments on the filings or any pressing of charges have been reported at this time.

Spike Carlyle has enjoyed a stunning run of five consecutive victories and finishes since his departure from the UFC two years ago – and last night, turned in a second round guillotine choke win over Koji Takeda – choking his opponent unconscious, before planting a kiss on his head from guard.

Spike Carlyle, a native of San Diego, California – featured three-times under the banner of the UFC in 2020, managing to amass a 1-2 promotional record.

Debuting in February of that year against Aalon Cruz, Spike Carlyle would land a first round knockout win, before dropping a unanimous judging loss to Billy Quarantillo – and then a November decision blemish against Bill Algeo.

In the time since his departure, Carlyle, a renowned finisher, has competed under the notable banners of LFA, Cage Warriors, Bellator MMA – and last night – landing in Japan for Rizin FF 35, tackling Takeda.

Riding a run of four wins over Batsumberel Dagvadorj, Gil Guardado, J.J. Ambrose, and Dan Moret into the Chofu event, Carlyle secured a five fight winning run for the second time in his professional career – in quite impressive fashion.

Last night’s submission win for Spike Carlyle came as his seventh professionally

Featuring on the preliminary card of the event at the Musashino Forest Sport Plaza, Carlyle – from guard, wrapped a guillotine on the aforenoted, Takeya – eventually choking him unconscious, and then kissing his fallen opponent on the head

Last night’s card featured a championship tripleheader to boot – with super atomweight, Seika Izawa defeating champion, Ayaka Hamasaki with a unanimous decision win to land the title.

In the night’s co-main event, featherweight champion, Juntaro Ushiku successfully defended his title with a unanimous decision win over Yutaka Saito.

Rounding out the promotion’s return, Brazilian grappling sensation, Roberto de Souza – otherwise known as Roberto Satoshi avenged a knockout loss to Johnny Case – stopping the lightweight title challenger with a spectacular opening round armbar – improving to 14-1 in the process.
