Floyd Mayweather had no trouble making quick work of Japanese kickboxing sensation Tenshin Nasukawa at RIZIN 14 on New Year’s Eve.

Mayweather was the bigger, stronger, and more experinced fighter heading into exhibition with Tenshin. And according to the 50-0 pugilist, he did very little training for this fight.

“Did I have a training camp for this fight? No,” Mayweather said during the post-fight press conference via Bloody Elbow. “I went to the gym a few times and moved around with Daquan (Mays), a young champion on the rise. Now, I’mma call him a champion now — he could be a champion, which I believe he can, with experience, and if he listened. He’s young, he has a lot to learn, but he will be okay.

“I’m just happy he was able to move around with me, just a little bit, just to get the kinks out, so I can come out here and perform for you guys.”

Many fans have criticized the fight saying it was fixed. Regardless, Mayweather dropped the 20 year old three times and finished off the kickboxer in under one round.

In typical “Money” Mayweather fashion, he then went on to flaunt his earnings.

Floyd Mayweather smashes Tenshin Nasukawa in their exhibition bout at RIZIN 14 on December 31st from the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan. The boxing legend was able to score the knockout win after the corner of the rising prospect threw in the towel after the first round.

After the fight, Mayweather talked on the microphone about how he is still retired as a professional boxer, and this exhibition was all about entertainment. Highlights of this contest have surfaced online, which you can see here:

History

Before this fight, Mayweather was last seen when he beat former UFC lightweight and featherweight champ Conor McGregor once he defeated him by TKO last year.

On the flip side, Nasukawa came into this fight after he took on Taiki Naito in a highly-anticipated rematch at RISE 129. Nasukawa beat Naito by first round TKO. Before that, he came off a victory over Rizin bantamweight champion Kyoji Horiguchi. This came by unanimous decision. He’s gone 4-0 in MMA while he holds an undefeated record of 28-0 in kickboxing. It’s impressive, to say the least.

Chael Sonnen Sees Big Red Flag With Floyd Mayweather’s RIZIN Fight

Chael Sonnen has revealed why there is a major problem with Floyd Mayweather’s RIZIN fight.

Chael Sonnen sees a big red flag in the plans for boxing legend Floyd Mayweather as he is supposedly set to fight in RIZIN. The former UFC and Bellator MMA title contender is never afraid to speak his mind. He’s been doing just that about this fight involving one of the biggest names in the boxing game.

Tenshin Nasukawa might fight Boxing Legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. on December 31st at Rizin 14. After Mayweather backed out of the fight, he has since said that the fight is on.

Sonnen recently posted a video on his official YouTube channel where he compared the pro wrestling scandal, “Montreal Screwjob,” to this fight. He thinks that Mayweather should be very careful not to be screwed over by RIZIN in this fight.

“There is a chance the promoters have sold him on the idea.,” Sonnen said (H/T to MMANews). “Even put it in the contract, ‘hey this is an exhibition. This is just for fun and you’re gonna come in and move around with this guy.’

Chael Sonnen Has A Warning For Floyd

Sonnen brought up how Floyd may think that this is just an exhibition. But when it comes fight night, Mayweather will learn the hard way.

“When he gets to Japan where he does not have a commission. He is quickly going to find out the other guy has not been told that. The other guy is coming out to fight. The other guy is coming out to try to win and knock him out. Fine, Floyd will adjust on the fly.”

However, the current Bellator star isn’t worried as he thinks Mayweather will adjust to it. The only problem with this fight is the potential outcome.

“What I would remind you and Floyd about is if he thinks even if he has a legally written contract that it’s going to be an exhibition meaning at the end of three rounds. Or at the end of nine minutes they’re going to smile and hug and walk away. He’s wrong.”

How To Avoid Such An Issue

That outcome could be the fact that the judges might give the rising prospect the win should it go the distance. Thus, Mayweather must win this fight by a finish.

“They will 100 percent announce a winner that night no matter what they have told Floyd. At the end of this contest if Floyd does not get the jump on this guy for the better part of three rounds. They will raise the other guy’s hand.”
