UFC star Jorge Masvidal has taken to Twitter and suggested a potential boxing match up between Middleweight Yoel Romero and Youtuber Jake Paul. Romero recently posted on Twitter a GIF of him ‘DITTYBOXIN’ in response to Jake Paul’s callout of MMA fighters.

Teammates and friends, Masvidal and Romero seem to have enjoyed this potential idea of a boxing match between the stars.

Masvidal tweeted, “Let’s do it (Yoel Romero) vs (Jake Paul)”, acting as a matchmaker for this potential matchup.

Paul is calling the biggest MMA stars out for a fight since his KO win over former NBA player Nate Robinson last weekend. Both Romero and Paul are similar in weight classes.

Romero, one of the most elite strikers in all of MMA carries knockout power in almost every shot he throws. A matchup with Jake Paul would almost certainly end poorly for the Youtube star. Masvidal sees this a great opportunity for his friend and teammate as a fight against Paul can secure a big pay-day for Romero.

What do you think of a potential Yoel Romero vs Jake Paul boxing match? How would it go down?

Jake Paul

One of Boxings most controversial figures Jake Paul has reaffirmed his goal of taking on MMA superstar Conor McGregor.

Following his highlight-reel knockout of former NBA star Nate Robinson last weekend, the YouTube megastar told ESPN that there is one goal on his mind.

“I am dedicating my life to beating Conor McGregor, Financially, it already makes sense. Financially, I’m already one of the biggest prizefighters and there are only a couple more bosses to check off and to beat to conquer,” Paul said.

Following his victory over Robinson, Paul would go on to challenge a slew of different athletes in his post-fight interview including Conor McGregor and his long-time BJJ coach and training partner Dillon Dannis. One other individual from the MMA world also included in Paul’s hit list and that was former Bellator and One champion, Ben Askren who retired from MMA in 2019 after a short UFC run.

While Paul expressed who he wants next, the boxing newcomer is in no rush to get there explaining to ESPN that he wants to take on a few more opponents before receiving the illustrious McGregor money fight.

“I want to fight a couple more people, I think, first,” Paul told ESPN. “We’re figuring that out. I want to prove to the world that, ‘Yo, I’m gonna knock out all these fighters.’ Conor McGregor can maybe be the final boss. If we were playing a video game, he could be the final boss. And then I’ll probably retire after I beat McGregor.”

Currently, Paul boasts two professional Boxing bouts on his record, both ending in Knockout victories for the Problem Child. Before his professional career, Paul had an amateur bout against fellow YouTube star Deji that saw him take victory also.

McGregor entered the professional boxing world in a record-breaking PPV bout against the undefeated Floyd Mayweather. Although he wound up losing the fight via TKO, rumor has been circulating of McGregor making his return to the boxing world to take on Manny Pacquiao.

EXCLUSIVE | Artem Lobov: Conor McGregor vs. Jake Paul ‘Will Never Happen’

Artem Lobov has shut down talk of his friend and teammate Conor McGregor taking on YouTube celebrity Jake Paul.

Paul has transitioned to boxing in 2020 and improved his record to 2-0 this past weekend on the undercard of Mike Tyson vs. Roy Jones Jr. The 23-year-old scored a highlight-reel knockout win over former NBA player Nate Robinson in the pay-per-view co-main event.

In an exclusive interview with LowKickMMA, Lobov revealed he was impressed by Paul and insisted he has no problem with the YouTuber trying his hand at boxing despite the low level of opposition he faced on Saturday night.

“He clearly has been training, so why not? He wants to get in their why not? It was a real fight,” Lobov said. “I know the guy he has fought wasn’t the highest of levels but still they both wanted to get in and both looked in good shape so why not? If people are interested in it and clearly they were judging by the amount of views that card produced. That’s what it’s all about, you know what I mean? If somebody doesn’t like it don’t watch it.”

Post-fight Paul immediately called out McGregor but Lobov dismissed any chance of that fight actually ever happening, he said.

“In terms of him calling out Conor. Who hasn’t called out Conor? The truth of the matter is calling out Conor gives you more in terms of the media than fighting most of the guys in the world. That’s just the truth of the matter. Everybody calls him out. It gives you the extra clicks (and) the extra exposure… Obviously, that fight will never happen. I mean I’m not even gonna answer that question. I don’t think that’s even a question.”

The YouTuber also mentioned a fight with another of Lobov’s SBG teammates, Dillon Danis. ‘The Russian Hammer’ warned that things would not go well for Paul if he stepped in the boxing ring with Danis, he said.

“I’m not sure. I don’t think so. Dillon is a real fighter. He might have fun with it or whatever but come on. At the end of the day Dillon is a high, high level black belt. He has been in martial arts his whole life so it wouldn’t end well for Jake Paul that fight.

“He’s been working a lot on it, Lobov about Danis’ striking. “Of course, he had the knee surgery so that stopped his training a little bit. He’s working hard and I’m sure he’ll be back very soon. He wants to fight and he’ll be ready.

Do you think Artem Lobov is right? Will a fight between Conor McGregor never happen?

YouTube celebrity turned professional boxer Jake Paul has suggested talks have begun ahead of a potential fight with UFC superstar Conor McGregor.

The 23-year-old called out McGregor in the aftermath of his second boxing win on the undercard of Mike Tyson vs. Roy Jones Jr. which took place this past weekend. Paul scored a brutal, second-round knockout victory over former NBA player Nate Robinson after previously taking out fellow YouTuber AnEsonGib inside one round earlier this year.

“I’ve been training my ass off for the past year. I’m taking this seriously,” Paul said in his post-fight interview. “There’s a long list of opponents that I want — Conor McGregor, Dillon Danis. I’m going to knock them both out.

Speaking to TMZ Sports Paul indicated that talks had begun between his team and McGregor’s about the possible match-up.

“My team is talking to his manager but that’s all I’ll say,” Paul said with a smirk. “No other fighter with this big of a platform is calling out McGregor. My dogs have more followers than the guy he’s fighting in January,” he added.

McGregor is currently booked to face off against Dustin Poirier in an eagerly anticipated rematch at UFC 257. The Irishman has boxed just once professionally – losing via tenth round TKO against Floyd Mayweather in 2017.

As of late the former dual weight UFC champion has been talking up his potential return to boxing. A fight with Filipino boxing legend Manny Pacquiao is in play for 2021. Both McGregor and Pacquaio are under Paradigm Sports Management who insist the crossover fight remains on the table despite ‘Notorious’ signing on for a January 23 UFC fight. Bellator fighter Dillon Danis is also under the same management group, so don’t be surprised if it’s he who faces Paul next.

Former UFC heavyweight and light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier believes YouTube sensation Jake Paul would “beat up” submission specialist Dillon Danis in a boxing match.

Jake Paul who is now 2-0 as a professional boxer has been extremely outspoken about his boxing ability. Proceeding to callout numerous MMA stars such as Conor McGregor, Ben Askren, and of course Dillon Danis. The undefeated Bellator star has responded to Paul’s latest callout via Twitter telling him to “be careful what he wishes for.” Adding to a long list of back and forth comments between the two.

But UFC commentator Daniel Cormier has voiced his opinion on what would happen if we were to see Paul vs Danis in the boxing ring. While discussing Jake Paul’s recent victory over Nate Robinson on the DC and Helwani podcast, Cormier stated that he believed Jake Paul would beat Dillon Danis in the boxing ring. However, Danis was not happy with DC’s comments. Taking to Twitter and posting a picture captioned with “watch that fat mouth before I shut it.”

DC responded simply saying “Danis sit your ass down before I call Jake Paul for you!!!” Reminding the Bellator fighter that he believes Paul would defeat him

Dillon Danis has not competed since his submission victory over Max Humphrey. A bout that took place over a year ago in June of 2019. Injuries have kept Danis sidelined. However, could we see the known grappler face Paul on his return? Of course, in boxing as an MMA bout would likely see Danis submit Paul.

It is difficult to know if either Jake Paul or Dillon Danis are serious about facing each other. As the two are known for being very outspoken for the purpose of bringing attention towards them. However, if the pair are eager to meet inside the ring, why not make the fight? In a lot of peoples eyes they do not see Jake Paul as a professional boxer, with his two wins coming against low level competition. And Dillon Danis has been slated in the past for not improving his boxing skills and relying on his high level jiu-jitsu. The pair have an opportunity to silence the doubters, as well as make a large sum of money. With both individuals well known to the public.

Do you think Paul vs Danis will be made and if so who would be victorious?
