After a split decision in Saudia Arabia inside the Diriyah Arena, Jake Paul and Tommy Fury have inspired a lot of feedback from professional mixed martial artists who’d like to offer feedback on the fight.

Literally, after years in the making, Jake Paul and Tommy Fury have finally met face-to-face in the ring for a match. After going to a decision, the judges scored the bout for Tommy Fury (74-75, 76-73, 76-73).

It was a pretty competitive match when you consider it was a youtube facing down a boxer who comes from literal world champion boxing lineage. Both men scored points, and despite a controversial knockdown later into the fight by Paul, Fury still came away with the win.

One of the most notable to chime in during the fight was none other than UFC welterweight Gilbert ‘Durinho’ Burns, who shared his opinion on how events were transpiring.

A fellow UFC lightweight would take the time to share his opinion, and it was none other than Michael Chiesa. He touched on the rumours that the fight was “scripted” and “fixed”.

Many more fighters took the time to chime in, sharing mixed reactions. The funniest of them all might’ve been from rising UFC featherweight Arnold Allen who said: “Should’ve gone to bed. These guys aren’t bad enough that it’s funny and not good enough that it’s good.”

Former UFC fighter and now UFC analyst Alan Jouban shared his opinion in a series of tweets. Despite the opinion of others, he saw Tommy Fury winning handily over Jake Paul.

After a competitive bout between Jake Paul and Tommy Fury, Dillon Danis has spoken out about his reaction to the fight and who he’d like to fight next out of the two.

Jake Paul and Tommy Fury finally threw down after several cancellations to the fight, and it turned out to be a pretty even matchup. While Tommy Fury looked better throughout the majority of the fight, he did not dominate the Youtubing boxing sensation as some believed would happen.

In fact, both fighters had shining moments during the fight. The decision itself was split, with Tommy Fury garnering the win with scores of 74-75, 76-73, and 76-73 on the judges’ cards. Fury would hand Jake Paul the first loss of his professional boxing career, and while things are leaning towards a rematch between the two: Dillon Danis would like to enter the mix.

While just 2-0 in his professional MMA career, Dillon Danis has garnered a gigantic reputation. While there’s no real reason he’s done so, if anything, it’s been a result of his smack talk and chiming in at opportune moments.

The latest in this series of callouts and insults has now led to his latest of Jake Paul and Tommy Fury. He’s had much history with Jake Paul, and the two men have been trading barbs for years now. However, Dillon Danis now says he’d like Paul to “keep his name out his mouth,” as Paul’s latest performance has been an embarrassment, according to Danis.

In fact, it now seems that Dillon Danis is targeting Tommy Fury for his next fight. Whether that happens or not is highly unlikely, but a man can dream. Calling out Tommy Fury on Instagram, Danis has made his wishes clear, though.

Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury finally happened today, February 26, 2023, at the Diriyah Arena in Saudi Arabia.

This became the first defeat of Jake Paul‘s boxing career, amateur or professional, but didn’t come without it’s controversies.

Tommy Fury opens up the bout with a furious pace, doubling and tripling up on his jab. Paul did a good job of tying up with Fury and nullifying his attack. Paul lands a nice overhand right, and a good straight right to the body in the first round, while Fury ended the round with a flurry of punches.

Fury did a good job landing his jab in the second, though Paul countered two of them with check left hooks. Paul continues trying to land his overhand right, but Fury blocks most of them.

Paul lands his stiff jab throughout the third round, and also continues to land those heavy left hooks and overhand rights. This was by far his best round after a close first and second.

Fury comes out in the fourth throwing a number of heavy combinations, and it appears Paul is beginning to fade.

But, we thought that when he fought Anderson Silva too and he finished that fight strong.

Both talents do well in the fifth, though the referee unfairly deducts a point from Paul. There was no dirty tactic performed, that was quite a ridiculous call.

Paul is visibly tiring in round six, though he’s still landing hard shots.

This is a very close fight after seven rounds; Paul has a slight bruise under his eye, and Fury has a cut above his.

The referee also decides to take a point from Fury in this round, which also was unwarranted. But, at least it evens the score a little.

Paul secures an early knockdown to begin the eighth and final round, a beautiful jab Fury walked straight into.

The remainder of round eight was very close, as was much of the fight.

Considering there was a potential for two 9-9 rounds, not to mention round eight, which would also be scored 9-9 if the judges gave it to Fury, there was certainly some controversy during this fight. The referee didn’t do either man any justice in this one.

Then we have the official scorecards, which read 75-74 Paul, 76-73 Fury, 76-73 Fury, awarding Tommy Fury the split decision victory.

Jake Paul falls to 6-1 as a professional boxer today in Saudi Arabia, while Tommy Fury climbs to 9-0.
