Dominick Reyes Responds To Johnny Walker: ‘Back Of The Regular People Line’

Dominick Reyes fully intends on being the next challenger for Jon Jones’ light heavyweight crown.

Reyes seems to be next in line for a title shot following his impressive TKO victory over Chris Weidman at UFC Boston last week. It took his UFC record to 6-0 while he remains undefeated overall at 12-0.

However, another fighter who wants to challenge Jones is Johnny Walker. The Brazilian has had a meteoric rise in the promotion with three knockout wins so far. He notably takes on Corey Anderson — another fighter who wants Jones — at UFC 244 next month.

Following UFC Boston, Walker called out Reyes on social media. However, with Jones lacking motivation in fighting any light heavyweight contender, Walker decided to reply to him with a friendly warning.

Jones vs. Walker is a fight that many have been intrigued by and it’s certainly a possibility if the latter gets past Anderson. However, Reyes is not having any of it. “The Devastator” believes the fact that he is unbeaten should give him the nod over any other contender:

“You can walk your ass to the back of the regular people line,” Reyes responded. “I’m in the undefeated line. That means front of the line pass, Son!”

Do you think Reyes deserves to face Jones next? Or should he face the winner of Walker vs. Anderson?

Johnny Walker Has A Warning For Jon Jones

Everyone wants a piece of Jon Jones. Everyone wants a piece of Jon Jones. The light heavyweight division in the UFC isn’t stacked with high-profile names the way it used to be, but there are plenty of promising young contenders making names for themselves.

One of those being Johnny Walker, the athletic young Brazilian who has been making quick work of his opponents inside the cage since signing with the UFC. Walker was immediately looked at as a potential problem for “Bones” down the line, and he’ll get the chance to solidify those claims when he takes on top-ranked light heavyweight Corey Anderson at UFC 244 on pay-per-view (PPV) next month inside Madison Square Garden.

Recently, Jones went on a Twitter rant about the lack of depth in the 205-pound division, claiming he wants a “super fight” next, teasing taking on the winner of Stipe Miocic vs. Daniel Cormier III at heavyweight. However, when asking where all the “big names” at light heavyweight disappeared to, Walker responded to Jones, warning him that he’ll be coming for the title after his meeting with Anderson on November 2.

“Don’t worry The biggest name will be Walking into your Twitter feed on November 2nd . Say my name 3X and I might just appear today. #saymyname#beetlejuice

The 27-year-old Walker is currently on a nine-fight win streak in his mixed martial arts (MMA) career. He has won all three of his UFC fights via first-round TKO, finishing his last two opponents in under a minute. If he’s able to do the same to a fighter the caliber of Anderson, there will be no denying him a shot at the 205-pound throne.

Do you think Walker has what it takes to best Jones inside the Octagon?

Dominick Reyes may have cemented his spot as the next challenger for Jon Jones, but not according to Johnny Walker.

Reyes remained undefeated as he enjoyed an impressive first-round TKO victory over Chris Weidman in the UFC Boston headliner on Friday night. He would call out Jones following the fight and based on his performance, it looks like the bout to make.

However, Walker seems to disagree. On Saturday, he would call out Reyes for a fight on Twitter:

“@DomReyes I formally release @stylebender as @JonnyBones new pussy,” Walker tweeted. “You are now the front runner or u can “WALK” this way ????#aerosmith #walkthisway #ufc”

The callout seems to be tongue-in-cheek but it seems clear that Walker wants to face Reyes in a bout that would undoubtedly determine who should face Jones next.

However, the Brazilian has business to take care of first as he has a fight booked against Corey Anderson at UFC 244 next month. It is also entirely possible that an impressive performance against Anderson could see Walker leapfrog Reyes and get the next title shot.

As Dana White says, we’ll just have to see how things play out.

Do you think Reyes and Walker should fight next?

We already knew Johnny Walker was a physical specimen. But the Brazilian continues to amaze spectators with his athleticism as he prepares for his next Octagon appearance.

Walker was recently filmed in training attempting a ridiculous flying knee. One of Walker’s training partner’s got on another’s shoulders, holding up pads level to his head. Walker, standing on the floor, actually nailed a flying knee on the pad, getting himself high in the air.

Check out the footage here:

Walker is preparing to take on Corey Anderson in New York City from Madison Square Garden at the UFC 244 pay-per-view (PPV). The card is one of the UFC’s biggest of the year and will have a ton of eyes on it, especially given the Jorge Masvidal vs. Nate Diaz headliner. The 27-year-old Walker is on a nine-fight win streak.

He has defeated each of his UFC opponents in the first round, with all fights going no longer than two minutes. His last two fights were ended in 15 and 36 seconds, respectively. With a big win over Anderson, Walker hopes to earn himself a shot at light heavyweight champion Jon Jones, who many believe would face a difficult challenge in the form of Walker.

Do you think Walker will get past Anderson? Does he have what it takes to get past Jones?
