Jon Jones is arguably the greatest fighter of all-time, but his brother, Chandler who is an NFL player thinks he would win in a fight.

Why he thinks so is simple. Jon uses his reach to dominate his opponents, but Chandler says his arms are longer than Jon’s.

“Listen, he has the longest arms in the UFC,” Chandler said to TMZ Sports. “My arms are longer than his. That’s my brother, I love him to death, but I’ll kick his ass!”

Add in the fact that Chandler is a professional football player and has to get past 300-pound offensive lineman, and he says that would play a factor in the fight. And, the NFL star has a wrestling background and is just stronger than his brother.

“I would wrestle him. I’m more strong than he is,” Chandler adds. “Listen, I’m not trying to brag, but I go against 300-pound men every day. Jon Bones is like, what, 235?”

In the end, Chandler Jones is confident he would be able to beat up his brother Jon Jones, who is currently the light heavyweight champion.

Who do you think would win in a fight between Jon Jones and Chandler Jones?

Daniel Cormier Blasts Jon Jones’ Power: He Can’t Punch

In just a few weeks, a bitter rivalry will be renewed, as Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones are set to square off in their highly-anticipated light heavyweight title rematch at July 9’s UFC 200 from Las Vegas, Nevada.

The two men met for the first time in January 2015 at UFC 182 where Jones defended his then held 205-pound strap in decisive fashion, cruising to a unanimous decision victory.

This time, however, the circumstances are reversed. Cormier is now the champion looking to get revenge on the only man to ever defeat him, and he’s as confident as ever that he will indeed do so.

Cormier is well aware of how talented Jones is, as many consider “Bones” to be the very best mixed martial artist of all-time.

In terms of pure punching power, however, DC was never impressed by the ex-champion:

“He cannot punch,” Cormier laughed as he spoke to Opie & Jim Norton (HT: MMA Digest). “He hit me, and I’m like ‘Wow! This is actually him punching me as hard as he can.’ He can’t punch, so he has to throw elbows, kicks, and knees, because he can’t punch. He doesn’t hit very hard, so he has to do something.”

“He does not punch very hard, I’ll be honest with you, man. He kicks very hard, he knees very hard, and he elbows hard, but he can’t punch.”

As far as who he believes is the division’s most feared puncher, Cormier was quick to note Anthony “Rumble” Johnson, the man he beat in April 2015 to become the undisputed champion:

Anthony Johnson, 100 percent,” he said. “Anthony Johnson hits harder than any other person, no doubt. Every time he hit me, it made me kind of like fly all over the place. He was trying to take my head off. Even when he’d miss, you can hear it.”

Jones has said many times leading up the rematch that he is coming for the finish, but does he have the power to put the former Olympian away?

UFC 200 is just around the corner as the blockbuster event is slated for July 9, 2016 from the brand new T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The main event will play host to a long-awaited rematch between bitter rivals Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones as “DC” puts his light heavyweight strap on the line against the ex-champion in Jones.

The two have been going back and forth since the fight was booked, and even prior to that as the two originally met at January 2015’s UFC 182 with Jones defending his then held title in decisive fashion.

Recently, Cormier took yet another jab at “Bones”, posting a video of himself hitting a heavy bag with the former champion’s face planted on it.

Apparently Jones has gotten wind of the video, and to no surprise has fired back at the ‘paper champion’ as he referred to Cormier as.

Check out “Bones’” response below via his official Instagram account:

Using the term ‘paper champion’, Jones is alluding to the fact that Cormier never technically took the title from him. After being arrested on felony hit-and-run charges in April 2015, Jones was stripped of his long-held title and suspended indefinitely.

Cormier would go on to choke out Anthony Johnson to secure the vacant title before defending it in a five round war against Alexander Gustafsson last October.

“DC” and Jones were set to settle the score at April 23’s UFC 197 in “Bones’” return, but Cormier was forced to withdraw with an injury. Jones would go on to score a rather lackluster decision over late replacement Ovince St. Preux to become the interim 205-pound title holder.

How do you see the rematch playing out?

It may not have been vintage “Bones,” but it sure was classic Jon Jones…

Former UFC light-heavyweight champion Jon Jones returned to action last night (Saturday April 23, 2016) to take on Ovince St-Preux in the UFC 197 main event. Daniel Cormier was originally scheduled to defend his title against Jones in the top spot, but was forced off the card due to injury. Replaced by OSP with two weeks notice, Cormier took up  sport with Joe Rogan and Mike Goldberg in the commentary position. He watched his rival “Bones” defeat Saint Preux by unanimous decision in a reasonably one sided affair.

Jones was unable to get the finish, making it the fifth decision win in a row for the consensus pound-for-pound number one fighter. While calling the action, “DC” pointed out that Jones looked ‘rusty’ and joked he should have stayed on the card.

After 15 months out of action, perhaps the ex-champion was looking to get some rounds in, or maybe he was just a little rusty, but he tasted victory all the same. Undoubtedly he didn’t look completely like his former self, but maybe he just needed to blow the cobwebs away and get a solid victory in the books. Once the fight was over, we saw the vintage Jon Jones once again, as he flipped off Daniel Cormier on the way out of the octagon.

We saw a brief part of Daniel Cormier reacting to getting flipped off, but now his full conversation with Joe Rogan and Mike Goldberg has been released. Needless to say he had a message for “Bones,” right before Mike Goldberg chimed in with possibly the lamest comment ever…

UFC 197 took a massive hit this week in a strange change of circumstances. After it was originally jeopardised by Jon Jones’ drag racing and subsequent probation violation arrest, the mixed martial arts community was relieved to learn that ‘Bones’ wasn’t going to prison. Receiving more community service and instructed to attend anger management following the vulgar viral video of the traffic stop, Jones was a green light for UFC 197 once again.

With just three weeks until the fight goes down, suddenly the light-heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier pulls out injured. It’s the first time in the Olympian’s pro career that he’s dropped out of a fight, and it’s possibly the biggest rematch he’ll ever face, after the bitter rivalry before UFC 182 with Jones. Now sidelined, the UFC (well, Ariel Helwani really) announced Cormier’s replacement at UFC 197. In steps Ovince St-Preaux, and the interim belt is on the line!

MMA: UFC 159-Villante vs St. Preux

So what do you think, will OSP stand a chance against arguably one of the greatest fighters to have graced the UFC octagon? St-Preaux’s record is far from unblemished, but he certainly has some very impressive wins. He KO’d former champion from the Pride era and UFC, Mauricio Shogun Rua, and he’s also got wins over Ryan Jimmo, Nikyta Krylov and Rafael Cavalcante.

With Jones though, it’s a totally different story, the guy is just a monster, so it will be interesting to see how OSP approaches such a huge leap in competition in this fight, taken on short notice too.

Former UFC light-heavyweight champion Jon Jones has faced some serious trials and tribulations over the past year. He was stripped of his title following an April 2015 hit-and-run that left a pregnant woman injured, and faced media backlash following a random 2014 drug test fail, the results of which weren’t made public until after his UFC 182 title defense against Daniel Cormier. A PR fuelled two-hour stay in rehab did little to help Jones’ reputation, and it truly laid in tatters once he got caught up in the following legal woes.

He ended up being served 18 months probation with a $5K fine, but there was a time that ‘Bones’ was facing a potential five year prison sentence. Now back on the trail to another big fight with his rival ‘DC,’ Jones now finds himself as the challenger. Cormier defeated Anthony Johnson for the vacant title at UFC 187 last year, and after one defense against Alexander Gustafsson, the AKA wrestler was once again paired with the reinstated ‘Bones.’

But then the news broke that Jones had potentially violated his probation, after being caught breaking the speed limit and not having his driving license present. At first it was reported that he was driving without a license, but that was later shot down by the official police reports. Still, Jones would receive a far more harsh penalty than his original sentence if he was judged to be breaking the terms of his probation.

The official ruling is now in, as first reported by FOX Sports:

New Mexico authorities opted not to treat the altercation as a probation violation so Jones only had to face the citation for driving without a license, insurance or registration.

Once he provided that documentation to the court, Jones agreed to donate $100 to the New Mexico Animal Humane Society and he’ll face no further action so long as he stays out of trouble for the next 90 days.

With Jones and Cormier on a collision course for UFC 197 on April 23, it’s good to know that the ex-champ won’t be facing any more legal troubles for now. That’s obviously dependant on him staying on the straight and narrow, but surely he won’t mess up again….
